Caspian knew it was Aurora who had bought her his tea, she balanced it well and placed it in front of him.

She let him know that his tea was served but she was already dashing out the door, and he found himself stopping her.

He did not know if he was offended or not. Maybe he could cajole her by asking her if he needed company but her answer was flat and she insisted his best friend keep him company.

He was surprised at how cold she became all of a sudden? Had something happened that put her in this mood?

Yet she was playing the role of a maid so what more did he want from her? He had asked her what is wrong and could see by her reaction that it was him.

When he had tried to get up, she had stopped him and put the boundaries of a master and a servant in place.

With that, she had left, and Caspian was left laughing, no girl had ever turned him down nor had to courage to confront him and walk out on him.

She was very strong-willed, and her stone-cold face drew him in, what was drawing him to Aurora? She was right that he could get any woman if he wanted to.

And she would be the exception.

But that made him want him more, why was she rejecting his advances even though he knew that she wanted him as well.

She seemed to be used to controlling her desires very well. He leaned back, he would have to go old fashion in seducing her.

He had to come up with events, that involved her and them being alone most of the time so he could seduce her properly.

He had to also make sure that his schedule would not clash with seeing Nadia as she was his top priority.

Caspian got up he needed to go and meet up with his parents as they liked to hear directly from him when anything happened so he went to the main hall, he found his parents seated on the throne. King George and Queen Suzanne.

She saw her mother beaming at him, and he bowed in front of them.

"No need." His father responded.

He stood back up, "Father and Mother I hope you have been well."

"We are, your presence always brightens us up." His father responded.

"Thank you father, likewise."

"How are things going with Nadia." His mother asked.

He knew that his mother would cut to the chase to the heart of the matter,

"They are going perfectly."

His dad nodded in approval and his mother seemed to be very proud, "That's what we like to hear."

Caspian knew that his mother was very fond of Nadia, as they got along even with her parents, so it would not be hard for her to control her.

"We will need a banquet to set the date of marriage." His father added.

"Yes, Nadia is lovely an emerald dress would look magnificent on her." His mother added.

When he heard emerald his mind went instantly to Aurora's eyes, must she also haunt him here too?

"Son?"

"Yes, I hear you mother but it's up to Nadia at the end of the day which dresses she would love to wear."

"I agree." His father remarked.

"I will chip in here and there to help her, there is no harm in doing that for my daughter-in-law. How are your studies going?" His mother asked.

"Top of the class as per usual."

Caspian could see that his parents were beaming with pride, as whatever he did he came out on the top.

He could not slip up as this was a matter of the throne and he needed to show his parents that he was more than ready to take over.

"The next banquet you should have a performance for everyone." His mother remarked.

"Of course, I would not miss the chance."

When Caspian went to his chambers and reclined back on his chair. He was getting wed soon, he did not mind at all.

As long as he visited her a lot there was no need for him to not have other women and he would need to pick concubines.

As beautiful as Nadia was, he would not be satisfied with one woman only. He rubbed the back of his neck.

He needed to start practicing for the next banquet and his act had to be over the top. He climbed on his bed,

He did not know why Aurora's words kept on haunting, don't play with my feelings. Did that mean that she had feelings for him?

He never had to think about what words could mean, she thought women were straightforward but Aurora was seeming to be a puzzle that got more confusing the more you went deeper.

He could leave her and get another woman but he did not know why he wanted her to be in his bed. Sure she was a beauty with rare features but he had seen other beauties such as Nadia, who was way fairer.

So what did he want from her? If he could get it from any other woman that was beautiful or even way more beautiful.

He needed to stop analyzing everything, this was not him, he was light on the top, his true feelings were never known,

Only Douglas had seen a bit of his other side but other than that it was all hidden. Even his parents did not know him well.

He always preferred it this way, where people would see the side of him that he wanted them to see or reveal to them.

After a while of drowning in his thoughts, sleep was catching up to him and he was tired. His eyelids were getting heavier as the minutes went by.

He finally gave into sleep.

Aurora woke up the next morning feeling so much dread about what would happen, she met her friends and they chatted. Even though she piped in once in a while she did not want her friends to not be suspicious of her again.

They all dispersed to their duties and were glad when Caspian wasn't in his room. when she had finished cleaning Caspian's chambers she was glad that he was not there.

Was he very upset? Could not be? As her mind went in circles, she tried to rationalize her thoughts.

When tea-time came, she knocked on the door,

"Come in."

Aurora opened the door as per usual, and Caspian was seated and seemed to be looking out the window but at what?

She set the tea down, "Your tea My Lord,"

As she was turning to leave,

"Sit."

Aurora was startled at his words, she swallowed a bit, "I would not insult you like that My Lord, I am a mere maid."

"I know your title, I am not that forgetful,"

He motioned for her to sit across him, and she did so tremblingly. Was this the moment that she got her punishment for yesterday?

She watched Caspian roll up his sleeve and stand up to pour the tea, her eyes widened,

"I can do that My Lord."

"I know Aurora but I'm choosing to unless you want to disobey my orders."

Aurora was defeated and she leaned back on her sit, when he was done he motioned for her to grab a cup.

She took the cup of tea and began drinking slowly and it was heavenly. She watched Caspian reach for his cup and take a sip.

She felt the heat cover her whole face, the way Caspian drank from his cup made her look dumb, he had etiquette and class and all this reminded her who she was and who he was just from a cup of tea.

He nodded for her to get some treats and she got one and ate it slowly, so was he not mad at her? She thought or was this a ploy.

"How many men have you slept with?"

Aurora choked on her tea when it went down the wrong air pipe, and her face was very red. Caspian passed her a handkerchief,

"Seeing your response tells me none,"

She looked at the ground, she wondered why he asked her this? Weren't all the women in the palace supposed to be?

"What made you stay a virgin?"

"I belong to the palace."

"Any answer than that Aurora."

"I don't want to jeopardize my job as this is all that I have,"

Caspian nodded, "It should not be a problem if you give yourself to me as I am from the palace."

Aurora knew what he was trying to say to her, "If I have to, it has to be meaningful and not something that I let happen."

"And where would you get that?"

"I did not mean I would get that, As I do belong to the palace and I am more satisfied being on my own."

"So what you are saying to me Aurora is that you want love?"
