I ordered for an orange juice and ky ordered for vodka. After taking our drinks we went and sat on a nearby couch and were talking. There was not much to do here. Infact, this place was boring. Everybody were just standing in small groups talking seriously and the remaining few people were dancing on the dance floor.

We didn't know anybody here so it was just the two of us to keep each other's company.

Just then Lukas arrived. He greeted us and then headed to one of the rooms. So I'm assuming he's late for the meeting because he was in such a hurry. I can already imagine Adrian's stare at Lukas for not being here on time.

We waited for a long time but none of them returned. Ky was kinda getting drunk. She wanted to go to the washroom so I accompanied her there since she was a bit tipsy. I waited for her outside when a young looking man approached me.

"hey beautiful I'm Mark " he introduced himself.

Should I talk to him? 

Well Adrian told I shouldn't talk to anyone here.

But I'm not his property for him to order me what to do and what not to do. Moreover I don't see any danger in introducing myself.

"Hi I'm Arabel" I said.

"such a pretty lady standing all alone?" he questioned one eye brow raised.

"I'm actually waiting for my friend she's a bit tipsy now. Gone to the washroom." I replied.

"mind if I dance with you?" he said offering a hand for me.

"but....I need to see to her.... She hasn't yet come out...." I said trying not to sound rude.

"oh she'll find her way out. Plus after our dance if she doesn't come out you can go check on her. Come on now." he said.

I thought about it for a second.

This guy didn't seem dangerous. But if I go with him I'll be breaking the rules Adrian told me. But now he's not here and it's really boring so I'm going to dance with him. I don't see any danger with just a dance. I take his hand and he leads me to the dance floor. We both dance. People who were also dancing on the dance floor tried to touch me but thanks to Mark he didn't let that happen.

Such a gentleman.

Adrian should learn from him.

"thanks buddy " I said still swaying to the light music.

"it's my duty to protect a beautiful girl like you" he winks.

Uhm cheesy enough.

"who did you come here with?" He asked me.

"oh I came with Adrian. I'm not sure if you know him." I replied.

"I know him very well he's my childhood friend." he said.

"I guess I need to check on ky." I said and pushed myself through the people.

When I reached the washroom I notice her struggling to stand properly. So I went and helped her. I took her to the couch where  we were  sitting on and I made her sit. Great now I have to be with a drunk woman.

My life is being awesome you know. *note the sarcasm*

"chillax you don't have to be with a drunk woman I'll give you company. " Mark said walking towards me as if reading my thoughts.

"that's really sweet of you but I don't want to spoil your night. I'm fine you can go ahead and have some fun." I said.

I'm scared that Adrian would go wild if he sees me talking to a stranger. He may be Adrian's childhood bestie also but still he's a stranger to me.

"save it up for someone else. I like your company so I'm fine staying here" he said smiling at me.

This guy is a nice guy.

I wonder how all the nice people can be Adrian's friends.

"shall we take a walk outside. It's a little too stuffy in here" he said after a long chat that we had about random stuffs.

If was actually fun talking to him. I was no longer bored and he didn't seem dangerous at all.

"I don't really think Adrian is gonna appreciate it" I said.

"oh please just a walk Ara. We'll return before Adrian comes here and if he gets to know about it I'll talk to him. It's really boring in here." ky pleads me.

"OK fine but just one walk and not too far OK" I said looking at both of them.

They both just smile at me and Mark gives a nod.

Before leaving I text Adrian that I'm outside with this guy Mark and ky so that he doesn't panic when he comes and sees that we are not there inside the party hall.

For some reason I didn't like the fact of going out without the permission of Adrian.

Man I don't know from when I started listening to people and thinking about taking permission.

I put my phone inside the pocket of my shorts which I wore under my red dress and I went and caught up with Mark and ky who were already making their way towards the exit. Lucky I wore a shorts that had a pocket. Otherwise I'd had to catch that useless phone in my hand and many would have noticed the phone and probabily laughed at it.

We walked slowly enjoying the chill breeze and we cracked a few jokes on the way. We shared our childhood memories with eachother and were having fun. Just then a speedy black car zoomed past us and stopped in front of us. Out came three well built men and the next thing I knew was a sting on my head with an object.

Ouch that pained.

No I'm not gonna pass out. I need to be alert and inform Adrian. All three of us were pushed into the car. Ky was unconscious because they hit her too on the head and moreover she was drunk so she easily passed out. Mark wriggled abit but gave up when he knew it was no use. I decided to pretend to be unconscious to listen tonwhat these mysterious people are talking about and what's their plan. My head hurt like crazy. Everything around me was spinning but I had to be alert and focus on them and not my pain.
