Third Person P.O.V

As time went on, Thorn's health had come back to 100%. But as the time had passed he could tell there was a certain change in Lily and he knew why. They had kissed and since then nothing has happened between them. He feels bad everyday seeing her sad face that she tries to hide with a smile. Thorn had oh so wanted to ask her out on a date sooner but with being shot and all, he wanted to wait until he was good to go before hand. He didn't want to have to worry about taking it easy.

That is why now that he's all better, he's ready to ask her. Out of respect for her family though, he had asked for permission first because you can't just ask out the mafia don's only daughter. So he had spent half of the day yesterday being lectured and questioned by her father and brothers. He must have done something right since they said yes.

With the help from her brothers and father, Thorn planned out what he hopes to be the perfect date. Pulling one of his nicest shirts, which isn't saying much since he doesn't really have any nice clothes, over his head, he looked at himself in the mirror. Giving himself a nod of approval he started making his way out of the bathroom but suddenly stopped at the door.

Taking quick sniffs of his armpits, he quickly walked back to the sink and grabbed his deodorant. Once done he set it back down and left the bathroom. Stepping out of the house, he made his way up to the Black mansion.

All the while, Lily stood inside her bathroom curling her hair. "Sylas." she called to her brother who laid on her bed playing on his phone. "Why didn't anyone tell me about this dinner before?" she questioned.

"Because, it's one of dad's old friends who flew in unexpectedly this morning. He's only here for a day for a meeting and hoped that, despite it being last minute, we could all get together to catch up over dinner." Sylas responded, not taking his eyes off of the screen.

"Do I look okay?" she asked stepping out of the bathroom. Sylas looked up and grinned.

"You look beautiful Lily." Sylas said causing a blush to form on her cheeks.

Lily was about to ask him when they were leaving when there was a knock on the bedroom door. Walking to the door, Lily opened it up to reveal Thorn. Both couldn't help but stare at the other. Sylas, who is watching the exchange, clears his throat causing them to snap out of it. "You look beautiful Lily." Thorn said causing the already dimming blush from Sylas' comment to brighten again.

Sylas got up from his seat on Lily's bed and walked up to them. "You two have fun tonight." he smirked as he brushed by them. Scrunching her face in confusion Lily called out, "What about the dinner?" When Sylas didn't respond, she looked up at Thorn who was looking down at the ground looking a little embarrassed.

"There was never a dinner tonight Lily. I had him tell you that so this could be a surprise." Thorn said causing her to scrunch her face more in confusion, to which Thorn thought was cute. With the small ounce of confidence he could rile up he said, "I'm taking you out on a date tonight." Lily's face went wide in shock. A slight chuckle left Thorn's lips and before Lily could say anything, Thorn placed his hand in hers and was gently pulling her out of her room. If it were possible Lily blushed even more but didn't protest as he guided them downstairs and to the awaiting jeep. Lily went to get in the backseat but Thorn rooted to his spot pulled her back to him.

Confused, Thorn pulls her towards the passenger seat and opens the door for her. Helping her in, Thorn closes the door and goes around to the other side of the car and into the driver's seat. "Where are we going?" Lily finally spoke up as Thorn started his way out of the mason grounds.

Thorn glanced over at Lily and smirked. Turning back towards the road he said, "You'll see." Ten minutes later Thorn pulls up into a farm and parks the car so that they are facing the side. Lily is about to question why they're staring at a barn when suddenly the side of the barn lights up.

A gasp leaves Lily's lips as the words Winchester come onto the screen. To popular disbelief, Lily actually likes watching horror movies. "How'd you even get this! It just came out!" Lily asked in excitement. She's been wanting to see it ever since she saw the trailer one day while watching tv.

"Your dad may have helped out a little bit." Thorn said. As the movie began, Thorn turned around in his seat and pulled out a cooler. Opening it up he presented Lily with an array of drink options from sodas to slurpees. Grabbing the red slurpee, Thorn grabbed the blue one and handed her a straw. He then proceeded to pull out a pizza and various snacks like popcorn, red vine, m&m's, skittles, dibs, and so much more.

For the rest of the night they ate, watched various movies, laughed and overall had an amazing night.
