Lily's P.O.V

Walking along the halls of my house, I made my way to my dad's office. Knocking on his door, I heard say 'come in'. Popping my head in I see my dad sitting at his desk looking serious. Opening the door wider I see a man, around my age with long hair tied into a bun and a beard wearing a tight fitted black shirt showing off his muscled arms and jeans, sitting in one of the two chairs my dad has in front of his desk. My eyes lingered on him longer than they probably should but I can't help it, he's really attractive.

"Princess, come take a seat." dad says snapping me out of my thoughts and motioning to the open seat next to the man. Gulping, I make my way over and sit down. "Princess this is Bo but he likes to go by his middle name Thorn. Thorn this is my daughter Lily." dad introduced us. I glance over at him and give him a small, shy smile but he only looks at me for a second then turns back to dad.

"Thorn here, is one of my men's son's who recently turned 18. He wanted to go into the same business as his dad. Now that you're older and starting college in a few weeks down at the nearby university, I felt it is time I hire you a personal bodyguard. You'll be going in and out of the house to classes for most of the week and all that and because of what I do it isn't safe for you to be going alone. That is why Thorn is here. Whenever you leave this house, he is to go with you. If something happens you listen to him. I have already spoken to the university about the situation so you won't have a problem with your professors."

I wasn't really surprised dad was getting me a bodyguard. I had a feeling this was going to happen at some point when I graduated from high school. I didn't say anything in response, I just nodded. Dad turned and looked at Thorn. "You can leave now." Thorn nodded, got up and left.

Once the door closed behind Thorn, dad turned to me. "Are you going to be with this? Are you going to be comfortable with Thorn being around a lot?" dad asked giving me a concerned frown.

"I guess so. I don't really have a choice on the matter." I told him honestly. I don't really mind having to have Thorn around when I'm out and I get why my dad is doing this. He just want's me to be safe and having Thorn around is how he ensures I am when him or any of my brothers aren't around.

Dad chuckled a bit and said, "With having a bodyguard, no you don't have a choice but if you don't feel comfortable with Thorn I can find someone else." This is a reason why I love my dad so much. He can be protective and stern especially when it comes to my safety but at the same time be the caring, thoughtful dad.

I shrugged. "He seems fine. I don't really know him and we haven't gone anywhere so I don't know if he does anything that would make me not want him around. We'll just have to wait and see." Thorn didn't give off a vibe that made me feel uncomfortable, so whether he actually does or not will have to wait until we actually spend one on one time.
