Kiara's Pov

I bit on my bottom lip to keep myself from bursting into hysterics. I glanced to my side to see Tia looking at me suspiciously. All I could do was shake my head and give her the 'I'll tell you later' look. I anxiously eyed the bright yellow envelope on teacher's desk while waiting for the new uptight professor to show up.

"What did you do, babe?" Tia asked me and turned her head sideways to face me completely. I shrugged and looked back to the front, rolling my eyes when Xavier entered with people following behind him as if he were some high class celebrity and them, the paparazzi.

I grabbed her jaw and turned her face to the front before jutting my jaw out to bring her attention to the envelope. "That envelope is a note for Mr. Ramirez." I smirk discretely before continuing in a low whisper as if I was mentioning something super secretive. In my defence, I was. "And the very inappropriate note is supposedly signed off by Xavier." A satisfied smile made its way onto my face as her eyes rolled to the back of her head. "You and your childish little feud" she muttered before chuckling while shaking her head. "Hey! It's not my fault he's an asshole." I reply defensively.

She shrugs as she picks up a blue highlighter from her collection to go over her already bright and organized notes. I hated how her handwriting looked as if it was printed with the most neat font whereas mine looked like a toddler was filling out a Mad Libs.

"Besides, I thought you and him had a thing going on." She said nonchalantly and didn't notice as the colour drained from my face. "What?" I said in a surprised tone and hit her hand making the blue highlighter fall under the wooden table. "Pick it up." I groaned and bent down to pick the damn thing up. Someone wolf whistled from behind me.

"Hey! Stop staring at her ass, freak." Tia snapped at a measly boy sitting behind us. I quickly got up from the ground with the highlighter clutched tightly in my hand, trying to ignore the eyes of half of the class including a pair of dark, brooding ones on us. I shifted in my seat and fixed my white tennis skirt. "Perv," she muttered and turned back around after he rolled his eyes.

As if on cue, the professor entered making everyone's attention shift to the front of the room. A sigh of relief left my lips and all the thoughts of my best friend causing a a scene left my head as I remembered about the indecent note. The teacher began to scribble down some questions on the board and instructed us to do finish them. I swear professors don't do shit then are surprised when students get bad grades.

I rested my head on my folded arms as my eyes unconsciously trailed back to the boy who had caused my perfectly steady life to turn into a slope, a downhill slope. I pressed my lips together tightly as I passed him a small glare when I saw that his dark orbs were already fixated on me with an agitated expression on his face. My nose scrunched up at the way his legs were resting on the desk instead of on the floor. Lack of proper etiquette. One of my many icks.

I turned back around completely before having the chance to admire how he looks today. Not like I needed to check him out to know he looks fine as hell. I shook my head to get rid of that thought. I finished two of the questions written down on the green chalkboard before noticing the yellow envelope in the hands of the professor whose name I already forgot.

An evil little smile made its way to my face before I nudged Tia lightly making her look up in annoyance. She hated being disturbed while concentrating on something. I watched the teacher open the letter lazily before his eyes turned into saucers as he read it. "A word, Xavier." He said in a calm yet sharp tone before walking outside the classroom. Xavier walked past us, shooting me a glance before shaking his head as he clenched his fists tightly. Bingo!

I didn't regret it one bit. Contrary to popular belief, just because a guy has had his fingers in you does not mean you can't hate him. In my defence, he deserved it for all that he has done to me and his rich daddy can get him out of almost anything.

I stretched my tired limbs as everyone picked up their text books and started shuffling out of the large room. I picked up my shoulder bag and grabbed my text book before heading out with Tia by my side. She was going on about how her sister back home sent her pictures of the cupcakes which she made. It was the most adorable thing I had seen in almost two days. I snorted at that thought as she continued. We decided to go out to grab something to eat. "Can you wait for two minutes? I need to grab my assignment papers from last week" I nodded absentmindedly as she hurried away.

I leaned back on the car and looked around. Half of the students looked stressed while others were laughing about god knows what. A few had cigarettes hanging from their lips while the rest were sucking on juice boxes. My brows furrowed when I saw the guy from earlier walking towards me with a black eye and a slightly crooked nose. "Uh- sorry about earlier. Kinda." He said awkwardly as I glanced at his distressed shirt with blotches of red on it. I shook my head, "It's not a big deal" I smiled back at him awkwardly.

"I think it is a pretty big deal" I internally groaned when I heard Xavier come and stand in between us. I hate causing a scene and drawing unnecessary attention to myself. "What do you say, Tanner?" Xavier said and leaned against the trunk of my car. My anxiety was practically skyrocketing right now as I could feel the tension increase. "Uh- it's Tyler and you're uh- right," He said in a nervous tone as his hands started fidgeting. "Nobody gives a fuck about what your name is." Xavier snapped as his fists clenched, turning almost paler than my skirt. The guy noticed the movement and nodded his head frantically. I admit, if I wasn't so used to his daily tantrums, I'd be pissing my pants right now.

"I'm sorry for not apologizing earlier. I shouldn't have done that, it was a dick move- uh." He said and scurried away from us in a hurry. I shuffled on my feet and looked around for Tia. When I saw her walking towards me, I let out a sigh. I really couldn't afford spending time alone with him.

Xavier walked towards me and grabbed my hand. I looked up at his tall frame confused before I felt the paper in my hands. I looked down to see the envelope from before. "Yellow envelopes are a bit tacky, don't you think so?" He said before walking off in the direction to his car as I crumpled the envelope in my hand.
