Chapter 25 song quote:

"When you're next to me, you can tell that I'm not afraid to be.
So please don't make me wait, and never let me break, no never let me fall."
~ Hold My Hand

*****

I woke up five minutes before my alarm went off, so I turned it off so I wouldn't wake her up. I was surprised when she murmured something.

"Please don't leave." She adorably scrunched her nose and rubbed her eyes before opening them, her silver irises sparkling at me.

"I'm sorry, baby but I have to. They plan on leaving at midnight, so we have to sabotage their travel, communication, and keep their men from preparing the escape. It'll take us a day and the actual fight will take us even longer. So I have to leave in about twenty minutes." I wiped a hand over my face.

She grew a mischievous smile on her face. "Have you gotten your suit laid out?"

I raised an eyebrow. "Yes..."

"Is you're weaponry case all sorted and packed?"

"Yeah?"

She smirked and got on top of me, straddling me. "Good. So that means we have time for a special goodbye."

She leaned down to kiss me and it clicked in my brain what she meant as soon as she said it. She pulled away to pull off her shirt and came back down to kiss me once more.

****

"Are you sure you have to leave?" She asked, sitting up against the headboard and hugging the pillow close to her bare chest. I started to tie my tie around my neck.

"Yes, bellezza I'm sure. I'll be back before you know it."

She groaned and put on one of my t-shirts, getting up and walking over to me to fix my tie. "You never tie it straight!" She said, exasperated.

"Well that's why I have you to fix it for me, baby doll." I grinned and she rolled her eyes with a smile. She finished fixing it and handed me my Armani suit jacket. I slid it on and she made sure the collar was neatly folded.

She let her hands stay rested on my chest and frowned. "I guess you have to go now."

I cupped her face and planted a soft kiss on her lips, which were already swollen from our recent activity a few minutes ago. "Arrivederci, mio grande bellezza." I whispered.

"Bye." She gave me a sad smile and I grabbed my things before leaving the room.

Don't come home too bloody. - My Angel

I chuckled. I'll try. Don't eat my gelato. - Me

Oops, too late. Sorry not sorry, babe. - My Angel

"Goddamnit." I mumbled. But I smiled at the next text.
I'm eating the vanilla. Saving the chocolate for us. - My Angel

"Hey! Focus on the mission!" My father scolded. I huffed, rolling my eyes internally, and sent her one last text before turning off my phone.
Good. But I have to go, okay? See you soon, angel. - Me

I put my phone in my suitcase, and looked up at my father. "Continue." The van hit a small bump, making us all jump.

He gave me a look and continued. "Okay. When we get to the port tunnels, Eli, you track all of the microchips imbedded in the money cases, send the homing signal to Cristiano's men's GPSs'. Cristiano, you split up your men into eight groups, since their are eight port tunnel openings. You take out every group of Slovenians with a money case and take the case, bringing them back to the closest loading black van. Zach, you are to take them on from afar. If anyone needs backup, they will beep you and you take out the Slovenians around them. You will be high up on a 36 story building and when the mission is complete, you'll ride a helicopter back to the estate. I, will be with Eli to make sure everything goes smoothly. If Petrov shows up, let me know, and I'll deal with him. Got it?"

We all nodded, although I would like to butt heads with Francisco myself. "Yes, sir!" The men in the other vans were listening in, as we heard a 'yes, sir' from them over the comms.

We were soon engulfed in a slight darkness, as we were officially underground. What I hated most about enemies who decide to escape using the port tunnels, is that they forced me to walk in the disgusting feces-infested mud. The whole pathway is mud until you reach the tunnel openings. Then it's solid blood stained concrete. Yay.

"We are approaching the tunnel openings, coming to a stop." The driver said over the comms.

The van came to a stop and I slid the door open to be greeted by the feces mud stench. We all groaned and grimaced.

"Damn, that smells worst than Cristiano when he got the stink bomb in his trial." Zach said and everyone laughed.

I rolled my eyes. "Not as bad as you when you shat yourself on a bus seven years ago." I retorted and they laughed at Zach this time.

"Fuck you." He flipped me off and I guffawed, climbing out of the van. Zach was gonna stay in and ride to the building he's supposed to be sniper shooting from.

I divided the men into seven groups instead of eight, because I wanted to fight on my own. I don't need them slowing me down.

We all turned on our GPSs' and descended into a tunnel, me going alone. As soon a as I got my homing signal, I knew exactly where I was going.

I pulled out my handgun and turned on the flashlight on my tech watch. I began to hear murmuring that turned into talking as I got closer. I could see silhouettes of people on the wall.

It's go time.

****

"One, two, three, four..." I mumbled, counting the bodies. "Eighteen." I concluded and picked up the first case of cash.

I looked at my GPS and a new homing signal has been sent to me. I followed the directions to the signal. As I walked, I heard a squish and a squeak.

"Dammit!" I groaned, shining my flashlight on the now dead rat I just stepped on.

I wiped my shoe against the wall, not caring since I didn't own the walls. I continued to walk and soon, I reached the signal. But I didn't see anybody or anything. Just a table. I heard splashing coming from below. I looked down and there was a sewage grate. I saw flashlight beams and people murmuring.

Shit, they probably heard me.

I groaned silently, not wanting to go inside the home of shit and piss. I lifted the grate and jumped down into the....sewer.

I gulped, trying not to puke on my Armani suit, and followed the men. I saw one of them carrying the case. As soon as I was close behind them, I whistled. They turned around and their eyes widened.

"Hello." I smiled. I swung the case I had and hit someone in the face, kicking another. I had a punch thrown at me and I dodged, but soon took a hit to the gut.

Yep, definitely would've vomited if that hit was any harder.

I groaned again, pulling out my gun and shooting the remaining seven men. I quickly grabbed the second case, wanting to get out of this literal shit hole. I grabbed on to the ledges and pulled myself up, grabbing the suitcases after.

I checked the GPS and there weren't anymore signals. I called into my work phone. "Si?"

"Hey, where the hell are my homing signals? I've got two already, I need....two more."

I heard typing in the background. "Uh, I'm not locating anymore cases in your tunnel, Cris." He said and I scoffed.

"What? No. That's bullshit. There should be four cases in each tunnel. I've got two. So where are the rest?"

"I don't know. I've--I've lost the signal in your tunnel. You're gonna have to find them yourself. Either they are still in that tunnel, or they're being loaded at the dock. Either way a ship is to leave in an hour. That's how long everybody has before our money is gone." He said and I huffed.

"Dammit. Fine. Addio." I hung up and put the phone back in my pocket.

I continued to walk throughout the tunnel, occasionally and dreadfully looking in the sewer. I looked in every passageway, nook, cranny and crevice. Absolutely nothing.

So then they're at the dock.

I threw my head back and laughed. "Thank God! Let's get out of this damn rat assed tunnel." I ran to the end, finding the sewer grate to the dock.

I moved the grate to the side, climbing up and through with the cash cases.

"Oh, shit." I groaned.

I was completely surrounded by both Slovenian and Russian men. Some with guns, some with knives, some with other things that can be used as a weapon.

The only good thing, was that our men in the tunnels were here, and fighting most of the enemies. Some turned their unwanted attention to me and I immediately had men coming my way.

"Zach, dock, shoot now!" I yelled into the walkie-talkie.

Almost in a flash, bullets started flying, shooting them down one by one. But there were more coming over. "Zach, hurry up." I ordered.

"Well damn! Who the hell do I look like, the Flash? I'm trying! There are too many. Tell Dominic to send more back up."

I huffed and continued the bloody cycle of kick, dodge, punch and shoot.

HARLOW

Hey, princess! Time to kill the birdie! I'll see you later, I love you!
- Unknown

Shit. He's gonna kill him. Wait no, Cristiano wouldn't let that happen. He promised he wouldn't die. But he can't keep that promise. Everybody's gotta die at some point.

I dialed Zach's number. "I can't talk now!" And with that, he hung up. Uh, rude.

I dialed Eli's number. "Unless you're injured or being kidnapped, I don't care." Call ended. Ruder.

I called Dominic. "NOT NOW." He yelled furiously and hung up. Rudest.

I dialed Cristiano's work number. He rejected it after one ring. Okay, that was the rudest.

"Dammit I have to warn you, dumbass!" I grumbled. "Fuck this." I slipped on a lace bra and panties, putting on my black leather skin tight assassin's jumpsuit and put on my hightop wedged Vans. I strapped my dual daggers, my handgun, and my spare pistol to the outside of my thighs. I quickly put on my winged eyeliner, mascara and blood red lipstick, putting my hair in a high ponytail. I put my phone in my bra.

I ran down the stairs and picked the lock to Dominic's office, going in and looking for the info on the mission.

I mumbled as I read the file. "West port tunnels...Ooh! I know where that is!" And ran out and said bye to whatever.

I ran. I ran all the way to the port tunnels. What? I'm saving my boyfriend's ass. Running's good for exercise anyways.

I got to the tunnels and grimaced. "Damn, this smells worse than the stink bomb."

I went into a random tunnel and ran all the way through till I got to the grate. Bingo.

****

CRISTIANO

They started to fall quicker all of a sudden, one by one they're all being shot in the chest. I looked at the direction of the new set of bullets.

Oh, shit.

"No, no, no! Get the fuck out of here! Why are you here?!" I seethed through gritted teeth.

I ran over to the nut job and pulled her back into a tunnel. "What the actual fuck do you think you're doing?!"

She showed me her phone. She got another text from Francisco. "I'm saving your ass."

I chuckled. "Angel, I'll be fine. Why don't you take your pretty little self home and let us handle our job." I sneered.

"That will be a no. You can't tell me otherwise." She went back out and I ran after her, but she disappeared into the crowd.

"Zach, look for Harlow! She's here, being a stubborn ass woman." I rolled my eyes.

He sighed. "Got it."

I dodged a punch from someone beside me, sending a roundhouse kick to the stomach, he stumbled backwards before regaining his composure and went to send another punch at me.

Someone knocked him out from behind. "Aye, padre!" I patted my father's shoulder. "Thought you'd only come out if Francisco was around?"

"He is! Get Krasnaya out of here!" He growled and I took off running, making loops and pushing people out of the way.

"James! Where is Krasnaya?" I grabbed James's shoulder.

"She's here?! I don't know, sir!"

"Look for her!" I growled, letting go of him. "Dammit, angel, where the hell are you?" My right eye started to twitch.

What if he already has her?

Worry and anger rushed through my veins and I ran a hand through my hair. "Eli! Where is Harlow?"

"I-I don't know! She turned off her phone! I can't track her! You have half an hour before all ships leave! Francisco is boarding one, and he's heading back to Russia, so I suggest you find my baby sister before she leaves with him!"

I wanted to scream. The only thing for me to do is find Francisco. I ran through the crowd until I got to the loading dock.

There were nine fucking ships, and only one contains a douchebag. Great.

****

HARLOW

Bang. That's another man down.

How dare he tell me to go home! I'm helping, whether he likes it or not! If I get hurt, I don't care! I'll walk it off or something.

Plus, they're drowning out here. They need me, so I'm helping out.

All of the sudden, I was pulled by the arm into a tunnel. I was pushed against the wall and a pair of lips roughly crashed into mine.

I took a deep breath, not smelling my boyfriend's intoxicating scent. "Ugh, get off of me!" I pushed him back, sending a kick to his stomach. I don't care if I break his ribs again.

"Oh, come on! Stop the charade, princess! Cristiano can't see us in here." He grabbed my hips to bring me closer.

I wanted to roll my eyes so bad, but I knew I couldn't. He was right. No one can see us. So that means I have no one to save me.

I decided to play along and trick him. I put my hands on the nape of his neck and kissed him again, and he quickly responded, moving his filthy hands to my ass. God, I wanted to gag.

I pulled away and fake smiled, tucking lose baby hair behind my ear. "You're right, Cisco." I giggled.

"I'm always right princess."

I wrapped an arm around his neck. "Yes you are, baby. And I love that about you." I hate his ego.

He smiled gleefully, not knowing I was about wipe it off his smug handsome face. I used my free hand to grab my dagger, flipping it in my hand and I shoved the sharp blade into his side.

He dropped his smile, grunting before dropping to his knees in pain. "You bitch!"

I laughed. "Why, thank you! I know I am." And with that, I took off running down the tunnel.

I ducked, crawling and hiding in a ventilation tunnel. I pulled my knees to my chest and took out my phone, turning it on.

I quickly pressed the switch of the homing signal, so someone can find me.

Tears started streaming from my eyes, as I heard heavy footsteps coming. I scooted farther into the vent so they couldn't see you.

I gasped silently. My phone started to go off. I looked at it, someone was messaging me. I rushed to turn it down, but I was too late.

I was grabbed by my ponytail, and dragged out of the vent. I was pulled to stand up, and a fist went flying into my stomach and I groaned. "See how it feels, bitch!" He growled, as I fell to the floor, my phone dropping out of my hand.

He kicked me three more times, and I coughed. "Get her up, now." He ordered, and several men made me stand up and put me in a lock, basically dragging me out of the tunnel.

I was back in the feces mud trail, and I tried to fight back, by grabbing my dual daggers again, and stabbing the man that held me, in the chest. He let go and fell dead to the ground.

I turned around, and lights went out. I couldn't see. Then after I few seconds, I couldn't hear.

And now, I couldn't feel.

CRISTIANO

"CRIS, HOLY SHIT I HAVE A SIGNAL. SHE'S IN THE FOURTH TUNNEL, GO!" Eli screamed into my headset.

I cringed from the loudness but shook it off and ran into the tunnel. "Harlow!" I followed the GPS signal.

I saw blood on the ground, fresh blood. My eyes widened and I prayed it wasn't her blood.

I heard a faint voice. "See how it feels, bitch!" I heard the voice say.

"No, no, no, no, no!" I ran to the signal as soon as I heard crying. But after a few minutes, it was silent.

I reached the signal, but no sign of my angel.

A wave of depression hit me when I looked down at the glowing phone, with my name as a contact trying to be reached. No.

I picked it up, and turned off the beeping, recognizing the wallpaper of her phone.
I immediately tucked it in my pocket and ran out of the tunnel to see a grey van speeding away.

Not knowing what to do, I ran after the damn thing.

Almost caught up to it, I came to an abrupt stop, as the van flew over the train tracks and after two seconds, a train created a border between me and the man who has my angel.

"GODDAMMIT." I yelled through gritted teeth. I took out my personal phone.
"She's gone. He has her and we've got to get her back." I said into the phone before hanging up, not giving my father a chance to speak.
