Edward's POV

After getting back home I took a shower and entered the dining room because I'm starving. And I saw that Mack was already sitting there, he was going to leave when he dropped me at my place but I stopped him because we have something to talk about.

"So now tell me why did you do that" I asked while serving myself the food which my maid made before leaving few minutes back.

"Do what" Mack replied.

"Why did you leave us alone on the island now I know it was all your plan" I said getting irritating.

"Okay it was my plan I accept it" he replied putting his hands up in surrender "But I did it with a good intention I thought it's a good idea to bring you both closer" he added bringing back memories of the moments I spend with Ashima, oh how much I'm missing her already. I don't even know when I'll get to see her beautiful face again.

"Hello Mr. Day dreamer come back on earth from your Ashima land please" Mack joked while sipping his coffee "Don't tell me you are falling for her" he teased when I didn't reply him but again I stayed quiet as I was still thinking about Ashima.

"Dude by your behavior it's looking like you are already in love with her" he spoke in a serious voice this time.

"No definitely not, I mean I don't know about love but I'm missing her badly already" I replied while shaking my head, he's gone crazy I think.

"Then you should meet her again" he said.

"Are you mad it's ten already, she must be asleep by now I don't want to disturb her she was looking so exhausted" I replied while eating.

"So much concerned" he said in a low voice while shaking his head before continuing "I'm not telling you to meet her now maybe tomorrow you should take her out somewhere on lunch or dinner".

"Yeah that's a good idea" I replied while thinking if Ashima will agree or not.

"Okay then text her now and if she's awake then she'll reply you and in this way you won't disturb her sleep too" he suggested as I nodded my head in agreement.

"Okay then I'll leave now" he said before giving me a thumbs up and leaving.

"Are you still awake".

I texted her as soon as I got in my bed after eating.

"Yeah what's wrong".

Her reply came only after few minutes and instead of replying her I called her.

"Hey Ashima, I wanted to ask that from when are you going back to work" I asked as soon as she received the call on the second ring.

"From wednesday but why are you asking that" she replied.

"I was just thinking if we could go out somewhere on lunch or dinner maybe" I asked hoping that she'll say yes because I want to see her again already.

Ashima's POV

"I was just thinking if we could go out somewhere on lunch or dinner maybe" he asked, is he asking me out on a date. Of course not why would he or maybe he is.

When I saw his message my mood turned good from sad suddenly but I don't know what to tell him now. Whenever I decide not to meet him again and stay away from him this is what happens, first he asked for help and I just couldn't deny I don't know why though and now he is asking me to go out with him and if I deny straight away it'll be really rude.

"Are you there" he asked when I was quiet for few minutes.

"Yeah...uh actually I'm not free tomorrow" I replied snapping out of my trance.

"Why, are you going somewhere" he asked and suddenly his voice changed like trying to intimidate me.

"Uh tomorrow is tuesday so it's my fast and I was planning to go to a temple as I'm free tomorrow" I replied remember that I planned to go to a temple.

"But where will you find a temple in Seattle" he asked, god he is never out of questions.

"Don't worry about that I know there's one Ganesh temple here I used to go there when I lived here before" I explained him.

"So would you mind if I come with you" he said after a while.

"No, but why do you want to come" I asked confused and surprised both at the same time.

"Uh because you are new here so I don't want you to be lost and get into some kind of danger like last time" he reasoned quickly making me remember the night we met again.

"You are not my bodyguard Edward and I'm not a little child I can take care of myself" I replied while rolling my eyes.

"Okay then I got my answer" he said and was about to hang up I guess when I stopped him.

"Edward wait, okay you can come" I replied not wanting to hurt him and make him sad. I don't want him to be sad especially because of me.

"Edward" I called him out as he didn't reply.

"I'll meet you in the morning then, good night" he finally replied.

"Okay good night" I said before hanging up.

Ashima is it so hard for you to say a no, when you decided not to see him again then why did you agree to meet him tomorrow. You always ran away from boys in these past years then what's wrong with you now. I'm telling you this Edward is changing you already and I won't be surprised if you fall in love with him soon, my subconscious scolded me like a little child but I interrupted her.

"Shut up I'll never fall in love with him or even with anyone else, he's just a good friend" I murmured.

Are you trying to convince me or yourself, my subconscious replied.

Great now I'm talking to myself and soon I'll go mad too, I sighed.

But somehow I'm excited to meet him again, I smiled thinking so before lying down on the bed while pulling the duvet over myself as this stupid smile is still not leaving my face.
