Yelling echoed throughout the room as I searched the room for where it was coming from at this ungodly hour. The crack of dawn was nearly here and someone was ready to cause a fight with there one sided terror yelling.

And there he was standing in the middle of the room yelling into a phone, like his life depended on it.

"WHAT IS TAKING THEM SO LONG?", he screamed as I felt the need to walk away and shut my ears. He didn't want me to hear this, maybe this would unravel the secret he's been hiding all this time. We said no secrets, he made me promise no secrets and yet here he was playing me like a fox.

"FIND THEM OR ELSE ALL OF YOUR JOBS WILL BE GONE", he screamed yet again as I heard him echo throughout the room. He ended the call as he turned around, direct eye contact with me and he tried so hard to get rid of that guilty flash painted over his face.

"I'm so sorry, I woke you up", he said changing the subject of the matter that he was just threatening peoples jobs and hiding something from me.

"No, no it's fine, are you okay that call seemed pretty heated?", I asked him as his eyes diverted from mine yet again.

"Just some work stuff", he scrunched his nose, as he turned around facing the view of the heart of the city.

"Can I help?", I asked him as my hands wrapped around his back. I reached my hands across his back and rubbed his back for him.

"No, No, I don't need help", he brushed my loving hands back as I took a step further away from him.

"You work so much, can't you take a break for once, you promised me no more work", I argued with him as I saw his fists become tightened, he avoided my eyes, he avoided me.

"I know, it was just something urgent, I'm sorry", he held my hands softly as he peered into my eyes.

"I'm going to grab breakfast and you can finish up your work", he nodded as he turned his back from me and began typing away on his computer. He was lying to me it was clear now, and it was our fucking honeymoon. It was his idea to extend it, and now he spent his time working.

I grabbed my white dress, and put it on with a cardigan over it and grabbed a purse. And I put on my heels. I checked towards Nolan's office and all I could hear was distant yelling. I made my way towards the elevator as I felt sad he was letting me go on my own. It was our honeymoon and he let me roam alone in the city of love.

I pushed the hotels door as I breathed in the warm air and the smell of bread and a sweet serenade of music made my senses more alert than ever.

I seemed a bit lost as I stood at the exit, Nolan knew where we were going and he knew most everything about this city, and I knew nothing which is why I was completely lost.

"Lost, madam", A man with a strong accent asked me.

"I think so, I'm trying to find some place to grab breakfast", I asked him as he pulled out a map perched into his pocket and he pulled it out.

He began jumbling on about the street signs and right, left and up and I couldn't be more confused.

"Here, I'm on my way over there right now", he took the map back as I walked behind him following his lead.

"Let me guess, your an American girl coming to Paris to find love", he guessed as he got a laugh out of me.

"You got the American part right, but I'm actually here on my honeymoon", he gasped as we crossed the street.

"And where is this lucky man?", he sneered as I looked back at the hotel.

"Working", I said annoyed as he groaned. We went walking across a bridge with water rushing underneath at each sides.

"Makes sense why you're wandering the streets of Paris alone", he commented as I shuffled alongside him.

"What about you, I assume you live here?", I asked him as he pointed to the restaurant on the side of the shop.

"I'm the chef at the restaurant I am taking you to now, and my husband is a painter", he said as I could tell now he fit the image of a baker in Paris.

"I promise to give you my honest opinion chef", he seated me down at the bar of the cafe. I saw the delicious meal that sat on the table next to the bar, as the girl snapped a picture for her instagram.

"I picked you some of our French delicates and of course a special omelet", he slid into the chair next to me as I stared at the meal, it looked too fancy. It looked too good, that I could just stare at it all day.

"You made this?", I asked him as he nodded proudly as I took my knife and cut a corner of the omelet. It tasted like heaven had dissolved from my mouth.

"Enzo, not again I thought you were done leading on Americans", a man squealed as Enzo got up from his seat as I wiped my mouth and got up as well.

"Henri, this is Natalie and Natalie this is Henri, my husband I was telling you about", he kissed both of my cheeks as I was taken aback from his gesture.

"You told her about me, I'm flattered", he said as they both sat down at the table.

"So Natalie from America are you here to find lasting love in the city?", he asked me as I perceived everyone believed people came to Paris to find love from America.

"I'm actually here on my honeymoon", I said again hearing the words felt plain as I wondered why he wasn't by my side.

"That's why Enzo told you about me, you're married, now where is this lucky man?", he questioned as he looked around thinking someone would appear out of the shadows.

"Working", I said annoyed as I could see the gasp from Henri. I took another bite as Henri's eyes went straight to my ring.

"I see you, working your ways through a sugar daddy, no wonder he's working his old bones won't be able to handle all this fire", he made us laugh as he went on and on about my sugar daddy situation.

"He isn't old, but something big is happening at work and he is yelling and shouting and always on the phone", I explained to them my situation. They leaned in closer eager to hear more.

"You don't think he's cheating right?", Henri asks as Enzo slaps his shoulder. The thought never crossed my mind, it wouldn't be true if he was cheating on me we vowed to each other ever since the first day we loved each other.

"He wouldn't cheat on me", I said sounding so confident when I knew in the back of my mind that at this point anything is possible.

"You look too young to be married, how old are you both", he said as I knew it was true but love works in mysteriously different ways.

"I'm 23 and he's 25, we had an arranged marriage and ended up falling in love and so we had another wedding, and here we are", I took a sip of water as they gasped.

"You need to find out better late than never sweetie if he is, take his money and run", Henri advised me as Enzo strongly disagreed.

Enzo got back to work as Henri pondered me for questions about our wedding, the arranged marriage and our house. Enzo finally got a break and they wanted to walk me to my hotel, I believe they just wanted to meet Nolan.

"How did you two meet?", I asked as they directed me along a street and as I saw the way they glanced at each other, I knew it was magical.

"Well I at the time was in culinary school and Henri was in a school for arts, and at the time there was no separate campuses so we went to the same one, now the showers, hampers and laundry section was all together and we just happened to fight over the last washer and at the end he ended up coming to my dorm room and we fell in love", their story was heart-wrenching and as they stared into each other's eyes I couldn't help but feel so lonely, and wishing I had my love next to me. Nolan and I didn't have a story an exciting one, or a love at first sight story and I wanted that romantic story, that storyline that started my happily ever after.

"That's so romantic", I commented as they remembered I was there, their hands had crawled towards each other and they carelessly caressed each other on their arms.

"This is me, do you guys want to come inside", they looked up at the tall hotel as their expressions changed very fast.

"You married rich, rich, this is the most expensive hotel in all of paris, a room alone costs so much", they pushed through the doors as I couldn't keep them away from coming inside.

"Where the hell were you", Nolan exited from a business meeting, decked out in his suit and as his voice caused a disruption in everyone's conversation they all looked over. His eyes quickly left mine to the two men staying behind me, I couldn't trust him with telling me things and now I can only imagine what he was thinking.

"I was getting breakfast, like I told you I was", I answered sternly as Enzo and Henri shyly moved further away from me.

"You didn't tell me that", he said defensively and I couldn't believe him in this moment.

"What is happening Nolan? You're not listening to our conversation you're there but half of you is gone, you're always working and this week was supposed to be for us", I argued with him after he pulled me towards the side of the wall which was more private and a closed off area.

"Who are they?", he completely ignores me and points to Enzo and Henri, Henri admires the art lined up against the wall.

"Now you don't even listen to me, they don't matter right now, I'm trying to fix this, what's happening Nolan?", I asked him as his eyes focused on the boys as they walked the lobby.

"Are you trying to make me jealous, it's cute but it's not working, who are they?", he asked me for the second time and I completely felt my stomach drop.

"Who are they? People who actually pay attention to what I have to say, they listen to me, they talk to me and they don't act like a douchebag which is what you're acting like right now", I said leaving him in the dust, I invited the boys in the elevator as they saw the look on my face.

"He was America's number 1 bachelor, now I guess not, no wonder he made it he's mad hot", Henri blurted out as he went on and on, and I felt like they wanted to meet him, even after being so disrespectful earlier.

"Here it is", they opened their eyes widely as Enzo squealed as he saw the kitchen, Henri saw the paintings along the wall as he smiled and started fan-girling over them.

"You married rich, rich, rich", Henri yelled as the scream echoed the room. He was so surprised as he walked across the line of the apartment and stared into the view that highlighted the center of Paris.

"Now I understand why he works so much", Enzo added as he ran his hands through the marble that glazed the kitchen.

"Please let me cook something for you and your husband", Enzo begged as I needed to sit down for a little while. I crossed my legs as Enzo begged me yet again.

"I'd be happy to have any of your food, Nolan's just being a jackass, he's hiding something", I told them as I knew it was true. I knew when he was being secretive and it was now, especially now.

"Why don't we meet for dinner, and we can talk more about it, we gotta get back to work", he slipped me his number as they left through the door after I hugged them and said goodbye.

The next few hours were a drag and waste of time. Just as I began to give up, there was a slight knock on the door and then a very loud one.

I ran to the door, as I began to smell the faintish smell of beer fill my nostrils. I swung the door open as Nolan slid through the door crack and didn't even acknowledge me.

"How was it cheating on me", He spoke rowdily and I did understand where he came to that conclusion from but I thought he would have more trust in me. He sat the beer bottle down and he stood there wanting an answer.

"You couldn't come to a more mature conclusion then that huh, do you trust me at all, because if you did you wouldn't need to worry", I explained as he started looking around.

"Are they here, in the bedroom?", he asked as I had understood that he didn't trust me at all, he didn't have faith in me but I trusted him, I didn't bring up his secretive attitude, his actions I stayed quiet that's what he wanted.

"God, No Nolan what do you expect, I love you, I trust you, we're fucking married do you really think I would cheat on you is that what you think of me", I spoke up as his eyes focused on me and I could see his red bloodshot eyes.

"Do you trust me, Nolan because if you don't then what am I doing here, what are we doing here? It seems you don't trust me with other things as well, I know you're keeping things from me and I never wandered to the thought that you were cheating on me, because I trust you, I trust you with everything I have but you can't seem to trust me and I know I lied to you before, but about my dad abusing me, that was something I had to be ready to talk about, If you really don't trust me then tell me and I will get on the next flight back to Seattle.", I said as tears welled down my eyes and there he was standing like a coward he was, in disbelief and I had felt that same feeling I had that night Avery and I had run away.

"I trust you, I trust you so much and I love you, so much, you made me promise that day no more secrets, no more so please tell me what is happening maybe I can help", I said as he sat on the couch looking out at the view of the city, his face was moved away from mine as I sat next to him he felt cold. Isolated and struck. He didn't trust me I realized as I sat there as I waited for something I knew I wasn't going to hear.
