thank you so much for reading I was thinking of changing the title of the second book, a reader pointed out to me that it didn't make sense and I just laughed at myself for a couple of minutes.

i mean when u think about it like loving the heartless billionaire I mean I could change it to loving the heartfelt billionaire, idk

anyways what do u guys think the title should be of this book?

"I'm so sorry about all of this", he kissed
my head as he laid next me in the crammed hospital bed. I felt safe, I felt everything I could ever feel loving him. Magic, butterflies it was all there.

"I'm just glad you're with me now", I snuggled into his chest as he held me keeping me safe from the bad world that surrounded us.

"I missed you like crazy", he said as his head was leaning against mine and tears wept from my eyes.

"I missed you too", I whispered to him as he smiled at me.

"I'm so sorry, I should have told you about her, I'm so sorry", he percussively apologized as he whispered into my ear.

"It's okay, I'm here, Melody is here, and we're all safe", I said looking straight into his eyes.

"Melody, wher-where is she?", I suddenly remembered after being overwhelmed with all these warm, safe feelings surrounding Nolan.

"She's coming with my mom, she just reminds me of someone", his eyes looked me up and down and smirked at me. He kissed my head as I held his hand rubbing at the rough skin.

"What is she like?", I laid on his body as I imagined the girl whom I had met for seconds before we were separated. Just a few seconds and I already knew the pain, the fighting all these years was worth it.

"Strong, very strong just like you", his answer made me smile and I could only imagine what she had gone through, always on the run from Daniel.

"How'd you find her?", I asked as he smiled and I could tell it was going to be a long story.

"Well, I got a call from this strange small town and thinking it was you I answered the phone, and she told me her name and she said Natalie told me to call you and I drove over there to find her sitting in the rain under a bus light. She didn't talk to me at all, and I figured I was a man in a car alone with a little girl who had no idea who I was so I called my mom and she brought Leah and herself and stayed the night, I tried to make Melody feel safe, I made her pancakes yesterday and she loved them and then she asked me what her chores were and I told her she didn't have any and she was so surprised.", he said as I smiled throughout his story, he cared he really did. He made an effort to try to make her feel safe and care for her and that's all I ever wanted from him.

" I took her to the hospital and the police spoke to her trying to find you, and she's okay, but she is definitely hurt and physically as well and she wouldn't talk about any of it, to the nurses, doctors. I want to help her but I can't", she was just like me afraid and alone until I realized I had a family and she had Nolan and I now, forever we would be there for her.

"I took your brush by the way", he said giddily as I looked at him worried.

"You missed me that much, that's so sweet", I said as he let out a laugh.

"I missed you like crazy, but I had to take some hair and get your DNA matched with Melody's to start the adoption process", he said surprising me, he wanted her to live with us, well I sure as hell needed her to live with us, but he already knew what I wanted and did it.

"Thank you, listen I know you don't like kids or you don't want to have them running around our house, but I just want you to know I appreciate this", I said to him as a flash of surprise wound up across his face as he smiled.

"I just didn't want to lose this magic, that spark between us, now I realize nothing can ever come between that, and I'm beginning to like the idea of little Natalie's with my eyes running around", I dove for his lips before a large smirk could be plastered on his face.

"I want it all with you, I want the big house, I want the little kids running around, I want to put little bows on my sons head and give my daughters little action figures I want everything with you", he said surprising me, his kiss was something of pure love, of pure happiness no secrets just us.

"Listen I-I want that too, but I-I-", I began to say as the door swung open and there was Melody. She had fiercing black hair streaking down her back, her skin was pale, and her body was small. She looked at me as I directed my hands over and that was when I felt a love only someone like her could unlock, a sisterly bond.

Her hug was warmth, guidance and all things magical, my whole world sat in front of me and as she hugged me for a second time, I felt free.

Nolan went out of the room, giving us some alone time we had a lot to catch up on.

"Please don't ever let me back out there", she whispered into my ear between gasps of breath, her small cries into my ear.

"That will never happen, okay I'm here now", she looked straight into my eyes and I noticed her smile, my mom's smile was just like that bright and beautiful.

I peeked over my shoulder from hugging her as I saw the rest of my new world, family and friends, and then Melody, my world, my life was complete.

"I'm so sorry, I couldn't find you all these years, I've been searching I never gave up", I looked into her joyful eyes as she let out weeps against my shoulder.

"I have been too, I just didn't know where to look, I knew you would find me", she hugged me as her cries pierced my soul, a child, barely a teen hugged me like it was the first ever hug she had given. She was so alone, I could feel it, I had been her, what feels like a lifetime ago. Closed off and hiding behind long trench coats and hospital visits.

"I'm sorry, I was selfish and I should've spent every moment searching for you", I whispered into her ear as she rubbed my back softly.

"He showed me photos of you when he hurt you, I'm sorry", she looked at me as I noticed the hurt in her eyes, the scars weren't just from him. I sensed it, she had darker demons that had scarred her.

"He showed me photos of you once, when this all started he showed me your neck?", I asked as she showed me her neck, a large purple scar ran down under her shirt. I wish I had stabbed Daniel more and more, until he rotted in hell for the damage he's done.

"I think everyone is pretty eager to see you", Melody looked out the window as she saw her new family and friends waiting on the other side.

"If you will and only if you want I want you to meet your new family and friends, these people have never let me down as much as I wanted to find a reason, I couldn't", I told her realizing her trust had to be gained, rather than just given.

"I've already met a couple of them, they are very crazy about you, especially him", she pointed to Nolan as I looked at him hugging his mom.

"What's love like, everything you imagined?", she asked me as I couldn't describe the feeling in words of how Nolan made me feel or how we made each other feel.

"Even more than that, it's like having a best friend, but more than that, way more the jokes you share, the laughs we've shared, the moments we've shared with each other that make us who we are it's incredible", I said feeling the fairy dust being sprinkled into my heart, love was magic, it makes us do crazy things, but all for love.

"It's also nice to know that someone has your back, and they'll have yours, he'll have yours he already talks very highly of you, now I don't know if he's said anything but I want you to live with us, I want you to go hangout with friends, go to school, have a boyfriend or girlfriend, I just want you to live a normal life from here on out, I know we aren't exactly the representation of normal, but I want you to have fun, adventures while your young, it's the most magical time", she nodded her head soundly and dug her head into my chest, I wanted a normal childhood for her.

"I want to meet you-our family, starting with your husband, we didn't necessarily get off on the right start", she chuckled as I invited Nolan in and the door opened for him.

"Hi I'm Melody, you?", she shook his hand firmly, she definitely pushed the restart button on their friendship. He shook her hand.

"I'm Nolan, I'm excited to get to know you, but I promise that I will do everything and anything to keep you and your sister safe, scouts honor", he said as Melody gave him a hug, happily.

"Don't tell me you were actually a Cub Scout", I chuckled.

"I wasn't, but doesn't it just sound cool", he geeked as Melody agreed with him.

"I think you should let the cavalry in, they're getting restless", he pointed as the nurse checked everyone and let them inside, the first person was to embrace my arms was Avery, god had I missed her. Tears wept down her cheek as she held me tightly.

"I missed you, so much", I whispered to her as she held me, I had missed our girl talks, our messed up conversations, I missed everything about her.

"See this is why I think they both love each other more than they love me", he said as everyone else chuckled in between their sniffles.

They all greeted me with their hearts and eyes full of tears, it was them that saved me, that kept me hanging on.

"Thank god you're okay", Alison hugged me as I hugged her back, she had been the only mother figure I had in life, other than Lauren.

"Thank you for staying with Nolan yesterday", I told her as I looked over at Nolan as he played with Melody, he and her were going to have a friendship like no other and hopefully he could be a father or brother figure to her, she needed a family structure.

"She reminds me of your mother a lot, and you of course", she said as I smiled. Alison had helped me so much lately and as I navigate being the mother figure or older sister of the pubescent teen, I knew I was going to need help. Everyone wandered around me and we stayed grateful and together till the hospital practically came to kick them out.

"Nolan, I love you, but I kinda want to spend time with Melody", he held me as his mom walked out the front door and it was just Melody, him and I left in the open room. I began to look guilty as I said it.

"It's okay, if I had just met Avery, I would spend every moment with her, and if you need that when we move her in or anytime I'm fine with being kicked out of our home so you have girl time or I get to sleep on the couch, I understand and I'm going to crash at my moms it's closer, I can't stand being in our home without you", he kissed my head, his words had surprised me.

"I love you, thank you", I kissed his lips and he said it back and went to say goodbye to Melody. They hugged slowly and as I looked from the corner of my eye they did a handshake.

Nolan slipped out of the door as Melody climbed into my bed.

She slipped into the crammed white hospital bed and tucked herself under the large covers.

"Now I was thinking we have a plethora of movies here and the nurses don't come to check in if we're sleeping till the next morning shift", she nodded and I quickly put on the first movie as she cuddled up next to me. The start of something new, something wonderful was just beginning.
