Isabella's POV

"Are you sure?" My grandmother asks me with an unsure tone of voice

I firmly nod my head with a joyful smile.

I literally could not be any more sure.

"I feel way more at ease now than I did when I first arrived here," I vulnerably inform her

When I first arrived here I was really stressed and just wanted to get away from everything.

It took a few weeks before I was mentally ready to be around other people.

"Plus, I really miss my parents and my friends" I add on

Especially Lynnex.

My cheeks instantly begin to heat up when I think of a certain golden haired girl.

Oh god.

My grandmother laughs humorously at this reaction which causes me to groan with embarrassment and bring my hands up to cover my warm face.

"Well then, you should start packing your bags, if we leave soon we might be able to get you home before nightfall" she says

I nod my head.

I jump with excitement and stand up from my seat at her dinner table before quickly making my way over towards my messy bedroom.

Living here again for the past three months has been nothing less than memorable and nostalgic.

At one point I wondered why I even went back home.

Although my first two weeks of living here were not the best due to me adjusting to the new environment, Haley made them bearable.

I seriously cannot thank her enough.

"I can't believe you're leaving" Haley says from my doorframe

She seems to be neutral judging by her tone of voice.

I roll my eyes at this.

"How come?" I question her genuinely

The blue eyed girl shrugs her shoulders and sits down on my bed, distractedly watching me take my clothes out of my closet and shove them into my black duffle bag.

It is a pretty repetitive process, I have no clue why it has her so entranced.

"I just got used to having you around all the time and now I have to go back to being alone essentially" she says with a sad tone

I stop in my spot and bite my bottom lip with guilt.

Oh.

I did not stop to think how she was feeling about all of this.

I walk over towards my desk and grab a random, unused journal that I found in this bedroom when I first moved in three months ago.

I have no idea who it belongs to.

I do not remember leaving it here the first time that I moved out of here years ago.

"How about you write your thoughts, feelings or random stories down in here and show them to me whenever you visit?" I suggest

It is kind of a weird idea, but I feel like it could make us closer.

Plus, we could both exchange stories.

Haley has verbally expressed her interest in wanting to visit us more regularly, preferably once or twice a year so that she does not get too homesick.

She smiles thankfully a this and holds her hand out to accept the notebook from me.

I smile back at her and hand her the notebook before making my way back over towards my opened duffle bag to continue packing it.

The both of us rest in a brief silence only for it to be interrupted by Haley's sudden laughter.

I furrow my eyebrows at this.

What is so funny?

"Wouldn't it be funny if I were to look back at this journal in a few years and turn all the interesting portions it into a book?" She joyfully chuckles

I smirk amusedly at this.

"Yeah," I agree but soon stop to actually think about this question

Haley has never verbally expressed her interest in publishing or writing books.

Heck, I have never seen her read a book!

However if she did end up writing and publishing one then I would one hundred percent be her number one fan.

"What would you even write about?" I decide to ask the excited blue eyed girl

It is her time to go quiet as her mind thinks about this question.

Oh, I thought that she already knew.

It takes her way longer than I anticipated to answer my question.

"Honestly, I have no idea," she eventually sighs out

I chuckle at her chipmunk esque facial expression and shove a random hoodie into my duffle bag.

"I guess that you'll just have to wait around to find out" she winks

I roll my eyes at her vagueness.

Way to keep me on my toes, Haley.

"Please, like anything interesting will happen in your life" I jokingly scoff

My little sister dramatically gasps at this and places a hand over her chest.

She blindly stands up from my bed and begins to over dramatically stumble back until she reaches my doorframe.

I laugh at her performance.

"I wouldn't be so sure" she finally says with a teasing tone of voice

The short blonde cockily exits my bedroom with an over dramatic hair flip.

Wow.

She could literally not get anymore dramatic.

I roll my eyes with a lighthearted chuckle before continuing to pack my duffle bag.

I am going to miss seeing her everyday.

-

I am practically jumping in my seat at the idea of seeing my parents and friends again.

First, I need to apologize to all of them because I was a 'Class A Bitch' the last time I saw them.

None of them deserved that.

"What is that?" Haley suddenly whispers

I have no clue why she is whispering.

I carefully follow her finger towards a thin, dark, shadow like figure in the distance.

I furrow my eyebrows at this.

What even is that?

The figure has two giant rectangular shaped objects beside them.

Maybe if it wasn't pitch black outside I would be able to see the object better.

"I can't tell, we're too far away" I shrug it off

My sister nods and sits back as our grandmother pulls onto my parents street.

It does not take us long before we are pulling into my parent's driveway.

I squeak with excitement as I open the car door and grab my duffle bag.

Out of the corner I see the front door open.

I wait for Haley to climb out of the car before running towards our parents.

My mom holds her arms open as I approach her and I instantly run into them, hugging her as tightly as I can.

"I missed you so much, I'm sorry" I whisper since my chin is currently resting on her shoulder

She laughs breathlessly at this and squeezes me tighter.

"Make room, she's my mom too" I hear Haley complain from beside me

This causes all of us to laugh.

I pull away from mom with a sniffle, unable to hold my tears in any longer.

My mother notices this and pulls me in for a hug while Haley hugs mom.

"Please don't leave for three months again," she practically begs

"If you have to then at least bring a phone with you" she adds

I laugh at this, sniffling my stuffed nose again.

"No promises" I tease

I pull away from her and follow mom and Haley into the house, my mother and grandmother following behind me.

The five of us talked and conversed for around forty-ish minutes before grandma and Haley decided to eventually leave.

After they left I went upstairs and grabbed my boxing bag, deciding that I should try to at least get a few hits in.

It has been three months since I have done anything exercise related.

"Where are you going?" My mother asks when she notices that I changed clothes

I am now wearing a matching set of leggings and a sports bra.

I decided not to wear anything over it since it is ridiculously hot outside.

"I was going to go box, I haven't exercised since I left" I inform them

My mother nods her head while my mom glares at me.

"Do you have your phone?" She questions skeptically

I roll my eyes at this question, but reach into the side pocket of my backpack to pull it out.

Once I have a hold of my phone I flash it her way to appease her.

My mom nods her head and smiles.

"Have fun, sweetie" she bids farewell and goes back to looking at a restaurant menu

Hmm.

I guess they are going to order take out.

I do not blame them.

"I'll text you when I'm on the way home" I tell them as I make my way towards the front door

I open the door and exit it before shutting it behind me.

I quickly make my way down the driveway and towards the sidewalk, wanting to get out of this extreme heat as soon as possible.

It does not take me long before I am halfway there.

I can practically see the bright lights from here.

I am in the middle of crossing an intersection only to be stopped in my spot by an angelic laugh.

What?

I quickly glance around me, suddenly on edge, only for my eyes to land on a mysterious figure laying in the middle of the road.

Oh no!

Someone could run over them!

I quickly glance at our surroundings before making my way over towards the mystery figure.

I furrow my eyebrows as I get closer.

The closer that I get to the figure I notice that it is a girl.

She has wavy bleach blonde hair that is splayed out on the dirty ground.

Ew.

She is definitely going to need to do a deep cleaning.

My eyes stray down only to notice that she is dressed in a short black dress that is one move away from exposing what is under it.

My eyes continue to go down her body only for me to notice that she isn't wear shoes.

Who is this girl?

The closer that I get I notice that there are two giant suitcases in a bush a few feet away from her.

Is she drunk or something?

"Excuse me, ma'am?" I call out when I am a few feet away from her

I am just going to stay back here in case she ends up being a serial killer.

The girl turns to face me and my entire body instantly goes cold.

"Lynnex?" I gasp out

Why is she laying in the middle of the road?!

She should be at her house doing whatever she usually does.

The blonde smiles at the sight of me.

"Y-You're really c-cute for a s-stranger" she hiccups

I quickly make my way towards her, dropping to my knees and gently bringing her head up to rest on my lap once I reach her.

"Lynnex, what happened?" I try to ask the obviously drunk girl

I have no clue how to deal with drunk people.

What do I do?!

She smiles up at me.

Her beautiful brown eyes are dilated and gleaming in the moonlight.

"What?" I ask when she just continues to stare up at me

She giggles and brings one of her hands up to tuck a random strand of hair behind my ear.

My heart instantly begins to speed up at this action from her.

What is she doing?

"Y-You look l-like my next g-girlfriend" she drunkenly hits on me

I roll my eyes at this.

"Okay, lets get you out of the middle of the road" I grunt as I attempt to lift her body but fail due to her being in a weird position

She glances away from me and her face instantly falls as she stares up at the sky.

"The s-sky-" she pauses, seemingly about to throw up

Shit.

"I-Is s-so beautiful" she dramatically drags out the word 'so'

I am silent as I pull my hair up into a ponytail so that she does not feel tempted to pull it.

"Come on, Lynn," I urge

"We're going to my house" I sigh out

I do not want her to go back to her house in this state.

Her mom would quite literally kill her.

She gasps at this and quickly sits up.

My eyes widen at this.

She is no doubt going to throw up if she continues to do that.

She places her hands on mine which are currently resting on top of my lap.

"M-My best friend c-calls me t-that" she whispers with a harsh tone

"No way!" I decide to sarcastically play along

I carefully flip my hands so that I am now holding onto her wrists.

"Yeah, y-you would l-love her" she almost throws up again

Dear god.

I love her, but please do not let her throw up on me.

"I would?" I continue to play along

I slowly begin to stand up, bringing her up with me.

She unknowingly follows my lead until we are both standing upright.

"She is the m-most g-gorgeous p-person in the w-whole entire w-world!" She over exaggerates

I blush with embarrassment at her confession.

Oh.

This feels kind of weird to hear from her considering that she is drunk and doesn't know what she is saying.

I seriously doubt that she will remember this in the morning.

"I'm sure that there are prettier people" I say as I slowly lead us over towards her bags which are still sitting in the bushes

She stops in her spot at this.

Shit.

I turn to face her only to notice that she is giving me an angered facial expression.

"No!" She yells

I mentally cringe at this since her voice echoes down the dimly lit street.

She pauses for a moment and just stares at me.

"Y-You kind of l-look like h-her" she suddenly whispers

I avoid her intense eye contact and attempt to grab her suitcases as best as I can with one hand.

It doesn't work out too well.

Lynnex wobbles over and grabs one of the suitcases from my hand.

At first she complains about it be too heavy but shuts up a few seconds later and holds my hand.

We are silent for a majority of the way to my house only for me to break it once my house comes into view.

"Why are you barefoot?" I ask her curiously

This question has been nagging at me this entire time.

She has no visible pair of shoes with her and I can't image how badly it hurts to walk barefoot on this gravel.

She hums at this as she sways back and forth.

I swear this girl has a party going on inside of her head.

"I-I like to be o-one with n-nature" she jokes

I roll my eyes at her joke, not wanting to laugh.

She suddenly begins to laugh, hiccuping a few times.

"You know y-you want t-to l-laugh" she hiccups again

A smile breaks out onto my face as I look over to face her.

She is staring back at me with an adorable childlike grin.

She is so beautiful, even if she has a few leaves and rocks in her hair.

Maybe she wasn't joking with the whole 'one with nature' thing.

The two of us slowly but surely make it up my driveway with me trying to hold Lynnex up.

She decided that she didn't want to walk anymore and chose to lean all of her body weight on me.

If my cellphone wasn't in my backpack then I would call my parents outside to help me with her.

"Lynnex, it's only a few more steps" I practically beg her to get off of me

I'm assuming that I hurt her feelings since I feel her body begin to sob against mine.

Are you kidding me?!

"A-Are you c-calling me f-fat?!" She incoherently cries out

This has to be a joke.

How did she get that from me telling her to walk a few more steps?!

I don't understand!

I groan and walk two and a half more feet before stopping in front of my front door.

I quickly throw open the door and carefully roll Lynnex's suitcases inside.

"Mom! Mother!" I yell out loudly as I enter the house

Lynnex continues to silently cry against my shoulder.

I wait a few seconds before calling for my parents again.

When the two of them actually decide to enter the room you can imagine their surprise at the sight of a drunken, sobbing girl covering half of my body.

"I thought you said you were going to the gym!" My mom exclaims

I groan at this.

"I thought I was!" I reply

"I found her laying in the middle of the road with two suitcases," I say and motion towards the suitcases near the door

My parents look in that direction with a confused facial expression.

"Now, can one of you please take her up to my room?!" I ask

I feel like my arms are about to snap in half.

I really should take my training a little more seriously.

My mother quickly walks over towards me and grabs the now laughing blonde from my arms, carefully lifting her up bridal style.

"No!" Lynnex dramatically cries out

"My Isabella look alike!" She yells as my mother carries her towards the stairs

My mother laughs at this while I just bring one of my hands up to hold my pounding head.

This night is going to be a literal nightmare.

"T-They're taking m-me away, but t-they can't k-keep us
a-apart forever," the drunk teenager begins to monologue  as my mother carries her up the staircase

Oh my fucking goodness.

She is a chatty drunk.

"I w-will always l-love you, baby!" She screams

Exactly six seconds pass by before the sound of someone throwing up meets my ears.

I glance up to meet my mom only to find her trying, but failing, to hold in her laughter.

"It's not funny" I state

She nods.

"Your girlfriend should try acting, better yet, theater" my mom jokes

I roll my eyes at her and make my way towards the kitchen, grabbing a dinner roll and a glass of water before making my way towards the staircase.

I quickly run up the staircase, being careful to avoid Lynnex's bodily fluids once I reach the top.

"Make sure to keep her on her side so that she doesn't choke if she throws up" my mother informs me as she exits my bedroom

I nod my head at her advice and enter my bedroom.

My eyes land on Lynnex who is currently asleep on her side.

My mother laid her on one of my pillows but covered it with a towel, I guess so that she doesn't ruin it.

On the floor beside her is a small trash can.

I sigh and place the glass and roll down on my bedside table so that she sees it when she wakes up.

I take one last look at her before turning around and making my way out of my bedroom.

I'm just going to sleep in Hanna's room tonight.

Her room is close enough that I will hear Lynnex if she ends up choking somehow.

The next chapter might be the last one.

If you had to pick, would you rather eat Mexican food or Italian food for three weeks straight?

I would probably choose Italian lol, I love pizza and pasta.

Update: I can't pick between them....
