"Hey Lynnex, I'm ordering pizza for dinner tonight" my mom informs the golden haired girl as we walk through the front door
My best friend's eyes light up at this.
Pizza is practically her comfort food but her mother banned it in her house.
I think that it had something to do with a 'no carb diet', or at least that's what Mrs. Williams claims.
I choose not to entertain her idiotic thoughts.
"Thank you, Mrs. Wilder!" She thanks my mom
"Thank you, mom" I say with a smile before following the golden haired girl towards the staircase
Once we reach the stairs she turns around and assists me with lifting her suitcase up them.
"Leave your bedroom door open" my mother scolds
I instantly freeze as my eyes widen and my cheeks begin to warm up.
Ever since my freshman year of high school when I invited Lynnex over for the first time my mom has always been strict with my door being open.
My mom says that it is because she knows what teenage girls are like.
My mother says that it is because of an expensive television that Hanna broke when Aurelia and her were...
Yeah I do not want to even think about it.
"Mother!" I grit out as I snap my neck in her direction
She currently has her arms wrapped lovingly around my mom while my mom tries not to laugh.
"Isabella!" My mother mocks me
Ugh.
This is so embarrassing, not that it gets any less embarrassing each time.
The golden haired girl laughs at this as she begins to tug her suitcase up the rest of the staircase.
"We've been over this, Lynnex and I are just friends!" I promise her
I notice my mom's eyes glance behind me at the golden haired girl only for her smile to fall which in turn causes me to furrow my eyebrows in confusion.
"I said that about your mother and I at first" my mom tells me
My mother rolls her eyes at this information but wears a smile nonetheless.
"She friend zoned me into a fucking pit before actually giving me a chance" my mother reveals
My mom removes my mother's hands from around her body and glares at the woman.
My mother gives her a confused facial expression.
"How was I supposed to know that you liked me if you never told me?" My mom questions, crossing her arms across her chest
My mother lightheartedly mimics my mom's stance.
"Um- I don't know, maybe the fact that I hated everyone else except for you" my mother responds with sarcasm
The two of them begin to go back and forth, starting an argument.
I take this chance to escape this moment before they realize that I am still down here.
When I arrive at the second level of the house I make my way towards my bedroom before closing my door behind me.
I turn to face the brown eyed girl who is sitting crisscrossed with her back against my headboard.
"Didn't your parents tell you to leave your door open?" She questions rhetorically
I smile as I take a seat on my bed and adjust my body so that I am sitting crisscrossed across from the golden haired girl.
"They'll be too busy 'fighting' over their love for each other while simultaneously making sure that Hanna and Aurelia keep it in their pants" I wave off
Lynnex laughs at this before her eyes light up as if she just got a bright idea.
"Truth or dare?" She teases mischievously
I smile and shake my head, standing up to stand beside my bed.
"Definitely not" I answer as I make my way towards my closet
I drag my thick leggings down my legs, struggling the slightest bit before throwing the item of clothing in my laundry basket.
"Why not," I hear her tease
Her voice sounds like it is progressively coming closer to me which makes my heart speed up with slight panic and anticipation.
It is silent for a few seconds as I pull my colorful night shorts up my legs.
I go to respond to her question only to gasp when a strong pair of hands are gently placed on my hips.
I swear that my brain temporarily malfunctions as a pair of soft lips gently graze themselves up the side of my neck towards my ear.
"Scared?" The person whispers
I laugh as I gently push Lynnex away from me and turn to face the golden haired girl.
"No, you just like to play dirty" I say matter of factly
She analyzes my amused facial expression only to shrug her shoulders.
"That's fair" she agrees making me roll my eyes
I like the fact that Lynnex can be her true self whenever she is at my house because she knows that she will not be judged.
Some people claim that we 'balance each other out'.
I have no clue what they mean, nor what they are referring to, so I just awkwardly thank them and move on with my day.
There is a knock on my open closet door which causes Lynnex and I's heads to turn all our focus in that direction.
I smile when Hanna peaks around the corner with a cautious facial expression.
"Hey, is Aurelia here?" I immediately ask her
She places a hand on her heart and pretends to be hurt.
"One, ouch," she states
"And two, she's downstairs" she finishes
I place a hand over my heart, lightheartedly mocking her stance.
"So you're telling me that the two of you are in two different sections of the house?!" I question dramatically making my sister roll her eyes at my joke
It is a running joke in our family that Hanna and Aurelia are like magnets because they are never more than a few feet away from each other, especially after Hanna proposed to her.
"Ha ha, very funny Isabella" she says sarcastically which causes Lynnex to laugh beside me
Hanna's eyes shift over towards my best friend only to look back at me with a confused facial expression.
"What?" I ask as she begins to look around my closet
"I thought you already came out of the closet" she says
My face starts to warm up as my eyes widen in shock.
Did she hit her head or lose even more brain cells?
"And I thought you stopped fucking in them" I tell her
She crosses her arms against her chest with an eye roll.
"Mom wants to talk to you in the kitchen" my sister reveals
I nod my head before she walks off, leaving my closet door open but closing my bedroom door behind her.
"Your sister seems different today" Lynnex says
I laugh as I pull my brunette hair up into a messy bun.
"Don't worry about that, she's just sexually deprived" I say matter of factly with a joking tone of voice
The brown eyed girl stares up at my hair and begins to fidget with her hands.
"Is it hereditary?" She asks curiously, not giving anything away about what she is thinking
Sometimes I truly wonder what the heck goes through her mind.
I raise a brow at her as her eyes continuously flicker from my eyes to my messy hair.
"You do realize that I am adopted, right?" I asks her
I swear I remember telling her that I was adopted.
I guess that it must have slipped my mind.
"Yeah yeah," she uses her hand to wave off
"But you guys have a lot in common with your parents already" she says referring to my sisters and I
I decide to think over it for a bit.
I mean, I thought constantly being horny was a normal thing.
I guess it is not super common.
"I don't know," I answer honestly only to smirk as an idea pops into my head
I take a small step towards her so that we are face to face, our chests being an inch away from each other.
"You want to test that theory out?" I tease with a slight lip bite
Her eyes widen with shock as she stares into my brown-green eyes.
"Um- I- No" she whispers out quietly
She tilts her head down to look at her socks, a pink blush staining itself across her cheeks.
Awe.
"Come on, I'm sure the pizza is here" I say, brushing off the tease so that she does not feel uncomfortable
I am all for teasing my best friend, but if she is genuinely uncomfortable with it then I do everything that I can to change the subject.
She smiles at this, looking up to face me.
"Not until I fix that monstrosity on your head that you call a bun" she says
I groan, grabbing her wrist and gently pulling her out of the closet and towards the kitchen.
-
"Hanna said that you need to speak to me?" I ask my mom as I enter the kitchen
She quickly turns around only for me to take a cautious step back.
My mom is holding a ginormous wooden spoon with a ticked off facial expression.
Shit.
Should I call mother on her?!
"I told you not to close your bedroom door," my mom says as she begins to take threatening steps towards me, wooden spoon still in hand
"I ask you not to do one thing, one thing! And you do the one thing that I tell you not to do!" She rants with frustration clear in her tone
My back hits the kitchen wall causing my heart rate to spike.
Shit.
"Mother!" I yell, turning back around to face my mom
I wait a few seconds before yelling for her again.
"What is it Isabella?" My mother asks as she enters the kitchen, getting into a fighting stance
I point towards mom.
"Help! She's going to kill me!" I say, stepping behind my mother for protection
My mother begins to cautiously make her way towards my mom, leaving me at the doorway.
"Put the knife spoon, babe," my mother says as she calmly backs my mom against the counter
My mom goes to move her hand that is wielding the wooden spoon only for my mother to grab her wrists, shaking the hand that contains the spoon.
The spoon eventually slips out of my mom's hand, landing in the sink.
"What's wrong?" My mother asks her
She continues to keep her tight grasp around my mom's wrist, pinning them to her sides.
"Let go of me, Charlotte!" My mom grunts outs frustratedly
My mother uses both hands to bring my mom's hands behind her back so that she cannot slip out of her grasp.
I only know this because I learned it a few years ago when she taught me self defense 'Wilder style', whatever that means.
"Not until you answer my question" my mother states
My mother stares into my mom's eyes, unfortunately I cannot see her face due to her back facing me.
The two of them are quiet for a few moments as they have a mental conversation only using their eyes.
My jaw drops as they suddenly begin to desperately, roughly kiss.
What the-
Weren't they just-?!
And now they're-?!
How?!
I practically run out of the kitchen when my mother releases my mom's wrists and lifts her up onto the kitchen island.
I quickly make my way towards the living room where everyone else is watching a movie.
"Hanna, they're at it again" I tell the blonde as I enter the barely lit up room
She groans before standing up from the couch and running out of the room before any damage is done.
They have been doing this a lot recently.
One second mom is frustrated with everyone and the next she is kissing mother as if she is some sort of exotic fruit.
It is getting worse every single day.
"On that note, do you guys want to just pick up the pizza? We could stop by the store if you want anything else" Aurelia suggests as she stands up from the loveseat
I nod, too disgusted to stay here any longer.
"Sure, should I bring anything?" Lynnex asks
Last week she was an innocent victim when she walked in on my parents making out in the den.
I made it up to her by making her favorite breakfast the next day.
"No, I don't think they'll go that far" Aurelia assures the golden haired girl though she seems unsure herself
The black haired girl leads us around the kitchen where we grab our shoes before making our way outside towards her car.
Lynnex and I climb into the backseat while my sister's fiancé climbs into the drivers seat and turns on the heat.
I glance beside me and frown when I notice my best friend violently shivering.
"Are you cold?" I ask her
"No, I'm dancing" she replies sarcastically
I roll my eyes but open my arms for her nonetheless.
Good thing I chose not to take my hoodie off earlier when I was in the closet.
She wastes no time as she tightly presses her body against my side and tucks her head into my chest.
I waste no time wrapping my hoodie clad arms around the quivering brown eyed girl and trying to warm her up.
A few minutes pass by like this before my sister exits the house with two suitcases and a blanket.
Why does she need suitcases?
Especially if one of them are Lynnex's.
"I was able to get them to go to their bedroom, but I think it is safe to say that we should vacate the house for at least forty eight hours" Hanna says from outside the car
Ugh.
You have got to be kidding me.
"Do you want to go to Grandma's or a hotel?" Hanna asks me
I bite my bottom lip as I contemplate it.
Haley, my younger sister, is currently staying at my grandmother's house because she just switched schools.
It was mainly because of the fact that her classmates couldn't get their heads out of their asses long enough to learn something that wasn't homophobic.
Meanwhile, the hotels around here are surprisingly really nice.
"A hotel" I answer her
Hanna nods her head before walking around the car towards the trunk and putting our suitcases inside.
She quickly runs around the car before climbing into the passenger seat and closing the door behind her.
Aurelia laughs at my terrified sister and backs out of our driveway.
"I got this for you guys, I remembered how Lynnex is always cold" my sister says as she turns around and hands me the throw blanket that she was just holding
I smile and thank her.
As I lean forward to grab the blanket I get stopped by my best friend tightening her hold on my hoodie.
I glance down at the golden haired girl with furrowed brows.
When did she grab my hoodie?
Hanna notices this but chooses not to say anything, deciding to toss the blanket towards me.
Wow.
Who would have thought that I would be forced to vacate my house because of my parents apparent sexual frustration?
Not me, that's for sure.

Posting the next chapter in a few hours, check back later!
Hanna is acting like that one kid in high school who witnesses all the drama but doesn't get involved, they just sit back and observe.
But anyways, I think that I may do the next chapter in Lynnex's POV.
