Everly

I was exhausted after the drama, when the last bell rang I was more than glad to escape the drama land and towards my homeland. Rumours spread that Elliot already started his game and that he and I was missing in our first few classes. I scoffed at the news and wanted to hit him on his face.

Abby pitied me and said, she will kick his a** if he tries to hurt me, which did not make me feel better, at all. I said goodbye to Abby and decided to get out of school through the school field, it's a longer route towards my house, but at least I can avoid that certain green-eyes boy, whose dimple can melt anyone.

I was waiting for the last student to get out of the hallway before I made myself towards the other side of the exit door and towards the field. I could have simply walked to Elliot and tell him to stop, but him being his trashy self will take this as me trying hard to play and I have way too many things to be bother about. In this chaotic situation that he put me to, I realized I forgot to go to the security like I said before and decided to go tomorrow. I don't want him to come inside and find me and then drag me around another drama.I am already so done with my second day back to school.

I almost kissed the ground when I made it home without being caught by Elliot. I don't think he will wait for me for more than ten minutes, seeing how impatient he is at times in classes. I started observing him and his behaviour since he got enrolled in this school. I watched him from distance, he ruined lives and build lives in his own weird way.

"Hi." I heard as I walked in and then took a step back in shock as I see Elliot sitting on the bar counter, with his elbow on the table and hand on his head. "It took you a long time to come here. I told you I could have drove you home."

"How?" I asked surprised.

"Your friend, Abigail. She was in a rush after bringing me here."

I scowled, how can she do that to me. "Why are you suddenly so interested in me?" I asked as I dropped my bag on the floor and went for the fridge. I took out a bottle of water and throw it towards him, he caught it with ease.

"You are very interesting." He said opening the bottle and sipping it like he was shooting a commercial.

"Is this fun?" I asked as I took out some food Barbara made this morning.

"Fun hanging out with you? Yes." He said as he leaned on the counter.

"Hungry?" I asked, I didn't wait for his answer and took out two plates.

"You are nicer than this morning." He said, looking for some reaction from me.

I didn't show any reaction nor said anything as I put the foods on the microwave, the only sound coming was from the microwave.

"So, what do you do when you come home?" He broke the silence.

"I eat."

"Sure." He said. "And?"

"And then I will kick you out of the house." I said nonchalantly.

He faked gasped. "You are going to kick your guest out?"

"An unwanted guest." I reminded him.

He smiled, "A handsome one."

I scoffed and handed him the plate first. "Any allergies?"

"None." He said.

"Okay." I said and waited for my food which was still in the microwave. We ate silently. From time to time, he tried making conversations and asked me questions, but I ate silently like I always do and pretended he was not there. When I finished eating, I washed the dishes and then turning to him said,

"When you decide to leave, make sure you shut the door properly, Phil- my dad." I corrected myself. "He should be home by 6:15 pm."

"Where are you going?"

"To my room." I said in the most obvious tone and waved him goodbye and walked upstairs.

I went to take a shower first, I was expecting him to leave, but here he is sitting on ,y bed like he was at his own house. He was reading 'Looking for Alaska' and he turned to look at me, "Very impressive"

"What are you doing here? You have no manners. What if I didn't put on clothes and walked out?" I snapped at him.

He grinned cheekily and I said, "You better start moving your a** before my dad comes home." I cussed at him.

"Look at that, you are as adorable as I imagined, I would love to introduce myself to your parents."

"What?" I said surprised by his comment.

"Seeing your lack of social life not only is bothering me, but I can guarantee it is bothering them, too."

"I don't lack any social life." I said in horror.

"What is your social life? You don't have friends except for that girl in school and you don't seem to be the one who goes for party."

"My social life is private." I said. "It's none of your business, now get out of my room."

"Just this once." He said as he stood up from my bed. "I will pick you up tomorrow for school; if you run this time. It will be a chase and as you know I love the chase."

"I don't need anyone picking me or dropping me." I said.

"Sometime, Just allow people into your life, they don't mean harm and they surely don't mean to leave you after that. You have to start opening up." He said softly.

"You don't know anything about me." I said, upset by his comment and how it hit me home.

"That's why we need to know about each other to not hurt each other."

"We for sure don't need to know about each other and also the more you know about a person, the more you hold the power to break that person."

He give me a mysterious smile and said, "It is all about the trust."

"What if I don't want to trust you at all?" I asked.

"Trust takes time." He said. "But you will be trusting me."

"Now, is that what the game is? Win my trust and break me?"

"Life is not always about game." He said sounding frustrated.

"Exactly, life is not a game and I am not a game, you are making it a game and a joke."

"I wish all good things for you." He said sounding serious and I laughed at his ridiculous comments.

"Since when are you so nice and why me?"

He did not answer and I said, "If you really wish good things for me then start by stopping this ridiculous games with me."

"That I cannot." He shake his head in disagreement.

"Why?"

"Because I want to show you that not everyone will leave you."

"What is with you and your comment about my trust issues?" I asked.

"I just figured you have trust issues because you don't have friends." He shrugged.

"What if I want to be left alone?"

"No one wants to be left alone in this world." He said as his green eyes stared at mine.
