Everly

"What if he stays?" she questioned.

"Then he must be crazy." I said with a small smile.

"So you mean to say he is crazy for loving you?"

"I don't know." I said, sighing.

"You should accept the love you are given, not everyone receive love." She said and I nodded my head.

"You have to let the past go." Was her suggestion.

Our serious talk ended, when we went to grab some early dinner in the mall. Elliot texted me asking me if he can drop by to pick me up.

"I am dropping you home." Abby said, frowning and that's exactly what I texted him back.

"She had her turn, Isn't it mine, now?" he texted back.

"I will see you at home?" I asked.

"No, what's the problem? It's just I will drop you home?"

"It's not in your way, Abby lives in the same street as me, more convenient."

"I want to drop you off, home!"

Abby rolled her eyes when I told her who will be dropping me home.

"This guy!" She said with a small smile, "he thinks I am challenging him."

Elliot stood near the exit towards the parking lot for me, it's been a while since I smell smoke from him.

"Is everything okay?" I asked.

"Yea." He said.

"Then why did you smoke?" I don't even want to know where he got the cigarettes from.

He sighed. "I am just a little stress."

"Can we look for another way to relieve our stress?" I asked.

"If you can come up with a better one." He said, and kissed my cheek. He give one of his signature nod as a greeting to Abby, who simply waved at him.

"See you later, Abigail." He said and all of us know who hanged out with her, knows she hates being that.

I saw her glare and I see the smug look on Elliot's face.

"Now you are playful." I said as I hugged his waist.

"A little playful at times is fun, right Abigail."

"Of course, Elliot Walker." Abby said with a fake smile. "Next time, we should all hang out together to shop."

"And have my ears chew off by you? sure."

"You will be the chewing our ears off."

"Then why are you hanging out with me?"

He smirked and looked at me.

"Right." She said clearly offended.

"I am kidding, you are fun to hang around with." Elliot laughed.

"Go and tease your girlfriend, I am out." She said as she waved us goodbye.

"What is with you guys these days? Always after her?" I asked.

"Cole and I are very offended by her." He said.

"What did she do?"

"What she didn't do yet is the question you should ask me.The lists of what she did is endless."

"Now, that's exaggerated."

"Her stories is the one that has been exaggerated." He said, rolling his eyes. Then he smiled and looked at me, "I missed you."

"I missed you too."'I said, blinking my eyes. That was so random of him.

"Did you eat dinner, yet?"

"I did." I nodded my head.

"Too bad, I am hungry. Can you come with me for dinner?"

"Sure, I can keep you company."

"I need that." He said, as he took my hand and walk us out to the parking lot.

"What did you do this afternoon?" I asked, as I put my seat belt on.

"I went home. My parents are home." He said.

"Sounds fun."

"Very fun." He said with a serious tone.

"Everything is good?"

"Yes, just some problems here and there." He said, shrugging it off, "Don't we all have problems?"

"Yes." I said. "Where are we going?" I asked, changing the topic.

"I want to have ice cream."

"In this weather?"

"Yes, that's why I said I need a company, so if I am cold, you can give me a hug." He grinned.

"So funny." I said.

"It is."

We stopped by an ice cream store, that I have never heard or seen before, but judging by how casual and comfortable he was as he entered. I figured he is a regular. The menu was pretty large with flavours, that are out of original.

I didn't want to have ice cream, so I ordered a smoothie. Elliot told me to sit somewhere while he will bring our orders. He seemed relaxed at this place and I wonder how long has it been since he discovered this place.

He placed my smoothie in front of me and before he went to sit across from me, he kissed me near my lip, which caught me by off guard.

My cheeked flushed from embarrassment, while he chuckled and went to his place.

"What was that for?"

"You look adorable with your cheek red, so I thought why not?"

"You are in a playful mood today?"

"Am I?"

"Well, what is the reason?"

"You make my day better." He said in a serious tone, "For a while I thought I will be in the dark, but you make me feel better."

"Were you offended the first time I met you?"

"Not really, some girls they try hard when I call them." He said and I raised one of my eyebrow.

"Sure." Was my reply.

"For real, I was not offended, I was surprised, that I didn't know you and." He paused and quickly smile and said, "How is your smoothie?"

"Why are you changing the topic?" Was my question.

"I am just curious if you like the smoothie, I love this place and it would be too bad if you didn't feel the same way."

"I love it. This place is actually very comfortable for a hang out space." The seatings and decoration was very comfortable and good to look at.

"I know, I spend some of my times here." He said looking around. "Next time, we will go to my favourite place, during summer. Winter time is too difficult."

"I like that idea." I said, wanting to know more about him.

"We can go to my practice and my gym space." He said, way too excitedly as I chuckled. "Tell me about you? Do you have any favourite spots?" He then asked...
