Everly Gray

Elliot Walker, seem to want to ruin my life after yesterday. The next morning, I had to keep my calm and walk to school and prepare mentally and physically for whatever to come. I have seen Elliot's packs of wild animals throw eggs and liquids on students who Elliot seem to dislike. Elliot was leaning on his car, he wore all black today, from ripped jeans, to black shirt, black shoes and black shades. His casual and relaxed position made me nervous because you never know, who will attack me from behind? His hair look perfect in its own messy way. His head scanned around the place as if searching for someone. The head cheerleader, put her hand around his arm; claiming him like usual. Either they are dating or playing with each other. I have no idea about that and I seriously don't want to know either. I so wished that warmer weather would go away, so I can put on hoodies or anything to cover my face. That's how scared I am of the beautiful Elliot, who is planning to ruin my high school life. I was blending in with the crowd, when Abby had to scream my name to get my attention, but Elliot doesn't know my name? I hope so, or did he search it up to ruin my life?

"Shh." I smacked her arm lightly.

"What? You never used to mind before?" She said curiously. "Are you avoiding someone?" She raised her one perfect eyebrow at me.

"Don't even start with me." I said as I pulled her towards the school door to get to our lockers, when I heard howling and gasped. I swear, the students here are half animals with their reactions at times. Abby turned back to look and I followed after her. I see Elliot, he was walking towards us, more likely for the door as I tried to hide my face behind Abby's. Students got out of his way, as if they will get burned if they make contact with him. Abby was thrilled and I was preparing myself for any consequences after yesterday. I pulled her back and hope he walk straight and towards the door, but being Elliot. He decides to have fun because he thinks everyone is a joke. He stopped right in front of me and took off his shades, his green eyes staring down at my grey eyes and he give me a cool smile, that made me both nervous and scared at the same time. My grip on Abby's arm tighten. I heard her winced and I quickly moved my hands away from her.

"Everly Gray." He said, his British accent making it sound ten thousand times nicer and I am sure Abby, beside me is drooling.

I give a nod, not surprise he knows my name. I heard whispers, gasped and cheer. Now, I can officially say bye to my high school life.

"You are beautiful." He said and I almost vomited on him.I know his games so well-He hunts, he catch and then he destroys them.

I did not reply and nodded again.

"I mean it." He said and he turned and walked straight towards the door.

"Did I just dream or he just called you beautiful." Abby sighed dreamily.

"You know his games." I reminded and rolled my eyes. "Let's get ready for the class."

Panic, the feeling I am so familiar with since childhood. The moment I realized my journal was missing was the moment I fell that my world turned upside down and I am about to fall on my knees and cry. Abby knows how much the journal means to me. I write everything over there. My feelings, my emotions, my days, my darkest secrets and it is missing.

"Take a deep breath." Abby said putting her hand on my shoulders. "It should be in your house."

"I did not write anything last night, I did write in class." I said.

"Let's go to the security desk." She said and I nodded my head.

"I'm sorry, there was no drop in of anything since last Thursday." The man shrugged.

I almost broke down in front of this man as Abby pushed me out of the office. "We will drop by later again." She said and I started sobbing in the empty hallway.

"What if someone found my journal and is reading it?" I asked.

"We will figure it out." Abby said pursing her lips together. She passed me some tissues from her bag and told me to wiped my tears. We would be in so much trouble if we got caught in the hallway when classes have begun, so we made our way to the emergency exit staircase because we know so well no one comes there. This is the first time I have ever skipped a class and I feel terrible.

"Everly." I heard him called my name as Abby and I was exiting to the staircase.

"What?" I asked, not in a mood for his game.

His face softened as he came to me, "You are skipping class?"

"So?" I said.He doesn't have to remind me and make me feel miserable.

He tucked my loose strands of hair behind and I almost smacked his hand away. "You were crying." He said and Abby interrupted.

"Why are you so interested in her, now?"

He give a mysterious look to me and said, "You seem pretty interesting to me."

"And now you want to start a game?" I scoffed.

He did not say anything and he took my hand and pulled me along with him.

"Leave my hand!" I said smacking his arm.

He chuckled. "If you want to skip the class, let's skip it my way."

I looked at Abby, who was looking at Elliot with awe and I give her a help me look face, but she sighed dreamily and followed us.

"Is this a joke?" I asked him. We were standing on the parking space, in front of his car. He is actually planning to take us out of school.

"Your skipping seemed boring to me." He shrugged.

"Because your fun and my fun is different."

He sighed, "fine, what you want to do then?" He asked.

"Now you are talking sensible." I said. "Come we will do something fun." And I give Abby a grin as she laughed, while Elliot give us a confused look.
