"Texas?" The guy asked again for the third time that they had been on the phone. Nikki was starting to get annoyed and secretly praying that she had stayed on the phone with King.

Her mother on the other hand had finally calmed down from throwing things around in the living room. And just to be safe Nikki had locked her bedroom door in hope of not getting another beating.

"Yes." She said through gritted teeth. She had her fingers placed at the bridge of her nose as she took a deep breath in and out. She was starting to debate whether or not he was the right choice.

"And all of this just because she found out your pregnant?" He questioned in disbelief. In which he had every right to feel angry. A big part of his life was now moving to Texas. He knew it was wrong but she meant so much to him. Especially now.

"Yes." She repeated letting her nose go. Nikki's eyes met her closet and then the picture of King and her and wondered where she went wrong. She now had to move to Texas and start a whole new life. Not to mention she was now in care of a living human bean until it turned the age of eighteen.

She felt the tears build up in the back of her eyes but she didn't dare to let them drop.

"Nikki I love you okay. Don't think your alone in this." He preached closing his eyes on the other end of the phone. Silently he said a small prayer to hisself before returning his full attention back to the conversation.

"I love you too KK." proclaimed Nikki as a small smile appeared on her face. How could she love two people so much? It was something she didn't understand but she was sure of.

"Does King know?" He asked causing Nikki to jerk forward. She hated when he said his name because the thought of all this mess made her want to throw up. Or maybe that was just the morning sickness.

"Y-Yeah I told him." She lied sucking on her upper lip. She knew it was a lie but it just wasn't the time to tell King she was pregnant. Not with everything going on. "He broke things off." She explained feeling a tear drop. Quickly wiping her face Nikki felt more coming.

"Maybe it was best that way." He suggested unaware of the deep feeling the two had for each other.

"Are you crazy? I just lost the love of my life because of this." She said angrily not knowing whether to acknowledge that to the unborn child in her stomach or to this love triangle.

"That n**** wasn't the love of your life. Stop talking reckless Nikki. I'm your n****. Don't ever mention no other dude around me again. You wasn't around here screaming King when you was throwing it back so don't do that s*** now!" He yelled. He felt like he could feel the steam coming out of his ears as if he was a train.

"Shut the f*** up K. I ain't make this baby on my own. I ain't f*** my closest friend girlfriend. You caused all this. Not me. I wanted to be with him. You came to me that night at the party." She screamed back as the tears flowed down like a river.

"You could have said no but you didn't. You knew what you were doing right when you told King you had to go to the bathroom. Alright! So I don't wanna' hear that s***. All I care about is the child that's inside of you right now. F*** you and King." He shouted back nostrils flaring like they did when we he was mad.

Nikki chest rose up and down quickly. And for a moment she felt like she was about to faint. She was beyond pissed.

"You don't have to ever worry about me or my child. I'm through! I'm through with everybody! Don't call my phone no more K." rasped Nikki as she ended the call.

Now both guys were out of her life for good.

"Great. Great job Nikki." She mumbled throwing her body back and grabbing a pillow as she muffled her cries.

"Trey lets go!" Nikki yelled from downstairs. It was  now 6:25 a.m and Trey had approximately five minutes to be out the door and on the way to the bus stop. Their neighbor Mrs. Watson had watched Trey be late for the bus the past week and had offered to give him rides. Or if he was on time she offered to let him cut through her yard to get the stop quicker. But today Nikki went into work a little later which spared her some time to get Trey fully ready.

"Hold on mama!" He shouted back from upstairs. Trey was in the middle of putting on his favorite shoes which were his black Classic Vans. Although Trey was young he had a sense of fashion to him taking that he inherited it from a certain person. So he decided to pair that up with a black hoodie that had a checkered board scheme to it

"No lets go." Nikki shouted back opening the fridge. She was met with an almost empty fridge causing her to make a mental note that she needed to make groceries as soon as Trey got out of school. But with the remaining food she did have she started to prep Trey's lunch. He received free lunch but for some reason Trey acted like he had a tape worm built inside of him so he always begged Nikki pack him snacks.

Taking out the already made roast beef sandwich Nikki crammed it inside of the red lunchbox, following that she packed a bag of Oven Baked Jalapenos chips. Something he started to like after taking a few from his mother's usual Subway order. To go with that she grabbed a Cherry Kool-Aid Jammer . Glancing at the wall clock Nikki noticed that it was now 6:27 a.m. and Trey was bound to be late once again.

"Trey get down here now!" She yelled again while shaking her head. All she wanted to do was get her family together in the morning but yet she couldn't even do that.

"He coming Nikki give him a minute." a voice vouched as they soon approached her. The sound of the voice made Nikki instantly roll her eyes but she made sure that they weren't seen.

"Are you going to take him?" she asked crossing her arms as she leaned against the dining table.

"No. He got a bus that's about to come pick him up in a few seconds." answered the voice as they finally appeared from behind the wall that separated the kitchen from the living room.

"I don't even know why I try sometimes with you KK." Nikki asked herself as she locked eyes with the familiar voice. He was dressed in his some grey sweats that hung a little below his hips, and a white shirt that had the black letters spelt out Trap. He was still wearing his clothes from the night before and his eyes were still low meaning he had just woke up.

"Cause you lo-."

"Alright. Alright. I'm here mom. You happy?" complained Trey as his footsteps could be heard coming as Nikki and KK looked at each other. Soon the slightly tall boy could be seen standing between the two.

"Yes I am." Nikki answered rubbing her hand across Trey's face making sure he had rubbed in all the lotion on his face. "You want a fruit snack or gushers?" she questioned walking back into the kitchen and opening the cabinet.

"Both." Trey tried to sneak in hoping that Nikki would fall for it.

"I'm not givi-. You know what that's fine." she said giving up as she pulled one snack out of each box. Cramming them inside of the lunchbox also Nikki zipped it up and handed it to Trey. Looking up at the wall clock again Nikki cursed to herself.

"You did your hair?" KK asked running his hands through Trey's hair. Nikki had let Trey be in control of his own hair since she didn't know much about men hair so she was glad KK was around for that. Trey shook his head yes as he repositioned his backpack on his shoulder.

"Alright you need to get to leaving. Give me a hug." Nikki instructed no longer caring about the time at this point. Trey gave each person a hug and was soon seen flying out the door and on his way to the bus stop.

Nikki blew a sign of relief as the door could be heard slamming behind him. She had got one person dressed and out the house and now she could focus on getting herself ready. Despite her being scheduled at nine Nikki still needed to prep herself for the day. And the first thing was going back to sleep.

"We need to talk Nikki." KK made aware as he stuck his hands further into his pockets. Walking to the fridge he grabbed a water bottle out and closed it. Walking past her he pulled out a seat and sat down.

"Talk about what in particular." Nikki asked scrunching up her eyebrows at the sudden conversation KK wanted to make.

"I think you already know what its about." He restated arching one of his eyebrows also. KK and Nikki's relationship was hard to explain. No they weren't together. No they weren't friends at least not in this present time. In a way she felt like they were two people stuck together for one reason. One reason that she wished he wasn't apart of .

"If we're going to play the guessing game I can go back upstairs." Nikki warned raising her upper lip annoyed that she was even still talking to him.

"Stop playing with me Nikki." KK also warned mugging her. "Why do I got Trey telling me that you had some dude up in this house. Arguing and s*** while he around and stuff. I thought I told you I don't want no other man around my son." barked KK as he pointed behind him referring to Trey who had left.

Nikki had to almost stop herself from dying of laughter as she looked around the house. After a few seconds of looking she spoke. "You found who you was talking to? First off who name this house under? I'll wait? Me? Oh okay. So therefore you don't tell me what I can and can't do in my house that I pay for. Second, whoever I want to have in this house I will. Whether its a women or a male you have no say so. Cause you can gladly go right to your house. Third, don't come for me having Trey around anybody when you had him around Keisha."

"N**** don't even mess with her no more so why you bringing up old s***. And don't sit here and act like I didn't get your consent first. So cut all that bull crap out. Like I said why was my son around another man without me knowing." He asked impatient for Nikki to even respond.

"Its not like it was stranger." Nikki mumbled smartly underneath her breath as she crossed her arms across her chest.

"What's that suppose to mean." KK inquired getting up out his seat. He felt his temper starting to boil over and before he went completely berserk on Nikki he decided it was best to keep a distance.

Nikki may have seemed hard but for KK she had a soft spot. She knew her limits with him and right now she was pushing up on it.

"No don't get silent now. Talk that noise you was doing a couple seconds ago." He nagged walking closer to her. Reacting naturally Nikki started to back up until her butt met the counter top.

"Who you had in this house Nikki?" He asked patients becoming weaker by the second. He was now face to face with Nikki with his arms resting still in his pocket still starring waiting for an answer.

Moving her face to the side Nikki spoke the name she knew not to mention.

"King."
