Kate's P.O.V

We sat at our dining table. Ethan was serving us Chinese  food. There were noodles, manchurian, momos. Oh, how I love these!

Ethan was again lost. We talked, he seemed okay after that. But when I came down after changing, he was lost somewhere.

Before I could ask, he said something.

"Kate, you deserve all the love in the world." He said in a serious voice.

"Where's that coming from Ethan?"

"The thing you said inside bedroom, I didn't like it. Why do you think you don't deserve love?"

"I don't know. Since my childhood my adoptive parents never cared for me, never loved me. Avery was my only friend. So I assumed maybe I am not the lovable girl." She laughed bitterly.

Whatever she said left me speechless.
So I did what I felt was needed the most for her. I kissed her.

Without any warning I placed my lips on her soft lips. Her lips were so soft and luscious. I kissed with all my might. I wanted to show her that she deserves to be loved. And to my surprise she responded. Yes Kate kissed me back.

Kate's P.O.V

Out of nowhere, Ethan started kissing me. My heart literally skipped a beat at that moment. I found myself leaning into him. As he bit my bottom lip, I moaned in response. When we both were out of breath we broke the kiss. Our forehead touched to each other. Both of us panting.

"What was that for?" I asked still breathing heavily.

"You enjoyed it." His smirk was back.

"What? Noo! I didn't enjoy it." We were both now apart.

"Come on, Kate. You can admit it. I am after all your husband." He smiled teasingly.

"In your dreams Ethan!"

I got up to get us glasses for wine. I needed it.

"So how's the work going?" I asked as I sat back.

"You're much eager to change the topic sweetheart." He said chuckling.

"Stop it now. You kissed me." I narrowed my eyes at him.

"But you kissed me back." He sat back relaxing.

"Ethan, can you stop it now? If you want we can go on and on about this till tomorrow morning. So tell me what do you want to do Mr. Robinson?" I said coolly.

"I wanna eat." He muttered and started eating like a child.

"Good cute boy." I smiled at him and started eating.

We both were so hungry that we didn't even lift our heads till we finished everything on the table.

"Thanks for this. Food was amazing."
I said with satisfaction on my face.

"Your welcome. Now I'm gonna go and work." He got up.

"Really? You're not tired or sleepy?"

He left out a chuckle and said,
"No, I'm not tired or sleepy."

"You're robot for sure." I shook my head and got up.

Ethan looked at me and came dangerously close to me. What is he going to do now? Is he gonna kiss me again?

He wrapped his hand around my waist and pulled me yet again very close to him. With other hand he caressed my cheek. I leaned on to his touch. His touch sent some electrifying sensation to my whole body.

"Can robot do this?" He asked, his breath fanning my face.

I nodded my head in no. But it seems that he didn't like it.

"Words." He said.

"N-no." Why am I stuttering?

Because your body is enjoying his touch you dumb lady!

"Then it is proved I'm not a robot." He smirked and let go of me.

Suddenly the warmth I was feeling moments ago escaped. And unfortunately I missed his touch. God Kate why are you so naive and stupid? He isn't going to like you in that way. Never. So get that thought out from your little brain.

"Good night Ethan." It was the last thing I said to him and left for my bedroom.

Ethan's P.O.V

I worked for like what 20 minutes but couldn't concentrate. The great workaholic Ethan couldn't concentrate on his work due to what? Due to a girl, his wife.

I wanted to tell her that I kissed her to show her that she deserves to be loved. But I couldn't gather courage.

So I decided to tell her now, hoping she is asleep. I walked up to her bedroom and opened the door.

There she was sleeping like an angel with little bit of her mouth open. How cute! I went and sat beside her.

"Kate, I know you're sleeping, that's why I am here. Today I kissed you to tell you show to you that you deserve to be loved and cared. Please don't think otherwise."

I pecked her forehead softly and left from there.

Kate's P.O.V

What was that? Did he really mean what he said? No of course I wasn't asleep. That's why I could hear what he said. Whatever Ethan said melt my heart. Ethan! My goodness. What am I supposed to do about this? He thinks that I deserve to be loved and cared. Then why can't he give me that?
