I could literally scream. That kiss was so freaking amazing. Here I was sitting in my room all in my feelings. The woman was beautiful. I mean dropped dead gorgeous. Her hair was curly and blonde. Her body was flawless. I couldn't even hate on her if I wanted to. Her eyes lit up with the most perfect lashes I had ever seen. Her skin, sun-tanned golden. And her name was Toni. I didn't get any better than that.

The relationship stuff was still new for me. I didn't want to seem childish when he told me about the situation. I didn't want to be the girl who couldn't trust her man to handle things. When Adrian came in my room all of my insecurities and worries vanished. That was my first real kiss. I can't believe it was with my Adrian. I closed my eyes as I thought about it until I fell asleep.

I heard my phone ding. Adrian texted me, letting me know he was home. I replied, telling him ok and goodnight. Shortly after, I went back to sleep.

The next day was going by smoothly. Adrian and I were texting nonstop. I was sneaking around texting him back and forth in pretty much all of my classes.

I made it to lunch eating with my bestie Sienna and some of the drama students from the play. My phone vibrated.

"Lover girl. I can't believe my best friend got a boyfriendddd." Sienna smiled, bumping my shoulder.

"I know right. We literally talk all day long." I said to her while checking my phone. I smiled at my little code name for him. I decided against telling him it was my first real kiss. I didn't want him to be weirded out. I know how he can get. He would've been bummed about it not being all extravagant. Although for me it was perfect. Us kissing while his date was down stairs probably wouldn't have been what he had in mind.

12:35 pm
Yep1: I can't wait to see you again. Still thinking about those sweet lips of yours.

12:35 pm
Me: IKR, I can't wait to see you too. You're still coming by the house later? You might be able to see me.

12:36 pm
Me: ...and my lips.

I silently squealed to myself.

12:37 pm
Yep1: WOOOOW, is this still lil Rai?

12:37 pm

Yep1: Undercover freaky Raina... Yeah I'm coming over. Mike owe me. I'm cashing in on my favor.

12:38 pm
Me: lol. What's the favor?

12:38 pm
Yep1: I'm still thinking of one. Anything to see you though. I just told him I needed him to do something for me and I would meet him over there.

12:39 pm
Me: Please have a legit reason for coming or he'll know. And don't think I missed you calling me a freak. You had this freak pinned up against the wall with your tongue down her throat last night.

I laughed. Sienna looked at me, grinning. She wasn't used to seeing me like that. She's super geeked. "Girl, we're still talking about the kiss from last night." I informed her.

"You got em' hooked now Rai, won't be able to keep him off of you. Next thing you know you'll be bent over with your legs shaking." She laughed and I snorted trying to contain my laugh.

"Nope." I shook my head. "We're just kissing. This is still Mikey's best friend, you know."

"Just live in the moment kissing on your man. While I sit over here getting your wedding plans together. We'll worry about Mike later. Your favorite color is still rose gold, right?" She devilishly showed her teeth.

I smiled, bumping her shoulder again. "You're so silly, —but yeah its rose gold." We laughed again this time louder. My phone vibrated.

12:44 pm
Yep1: lol, my reasons are always legit. And that's all I can think about (my tongue deep down your...throat). You take your pretty self.

I busted out laughing, covering my phone. He play so much.

We continued texting each other. Lunch was over. I said goodbye to Sienna and everybody. I headed to my next class. One of my AP classes I was dreading. James, the guy who had our whole life planned out after one conversation was in my Calculus BC class. He was usually extra nice and always tried to talk to me. Unfortunately for me, his assigned seat was right beside mine.

Sigh, graduation is around the corner. I reminded myself.

Entering the classroom, the teacher handed me a warm-up sheet. I quickly found my seat and took out my notebook so I could get started. I was one of the last ones to come in. James waved at me. I raised my brows giving him a tight smile.

"I grabbed a warm-up sheet for you." He tried handing it to me. I held mine up showing him. "Thanks anyway."

"No problem." He sat the extra paper under his. I concentrated on my work. It was easy. A review of what we already knew. After I was finished I pulled out my purple notebook. I had my entire life in that book.

"Why are you always writing in that raggedy notebook?" James questioned. I wasn't sure why he felt the need to ask. Hell, I didn't know why the only two black people were coincidently seated beside each other.

"It's something to do to past the time and don't call it raggedy." I scrunched up at him making both of us laughed. He shook his head smiling. "Raina Jackson. When will get my shot? You keep playing games."

"I'm not playing any games. I told you I'm seeing someone." I let him know. He looked around the room. "Where he at? I don't ever see you with him. It can't be the dude from your drama class. I know y'all are only hanging out because of the play. So again why are you playing games. Just tell me why you you won't go out with me, then I'll leave it alone." He sat up glancing at the teacher. She was typing on the projector screen. "Be honest."

I gave him my undivided attention. "James I am being honest. I legit have a boyfriend. He doesn't go here. —You seem sweet, but Im not available."

"Damn. He's a lucky guy. Thanks for being honest." He smiled then glanced at my worksheet. "Your negative is in the wrong spot."

My head jolted down to my sheet, looking it over. "No I d—" He shook his head chuckling at me. "Just kidding."

"You better check yours, while you joking." I sarcastically smiled at him. "'We have the same answer. If it's wrong, then we're both wrong." The teacher finally got our attention, by readying the projector for viewing.

James was a nice looking guy but I already had what I wanted. All I needed was for the day to speed up. I had track practice afterschool. Then home to hopefully see my man waiting for me.

Not gon' lie everything was starting to feel like the last hoorah at school. I would miss some of the people. My senior year was ending soon. The upside was not having to hide my relationship. Even though I knew my brother would not take it well. There was nothing he could do about it.
