"Time to get away, another time and place, cause I don't wanna stay here no.
We got 5 more minutes til they callin out all aboard
And we don't even really gotta know where we're heading for.
Hop up on a train, if you ready to leave, it's only you and me and I got your ticket.
We got 5 more minutes til they callin out all aboard"

Bailey |

"Good morning, mama. Where's my daddy?" I greeted my grandmother while sitting next to her at the breakfast table. Breakfast is usually the only meal we share as a family. It starts our day off and afterwards everyone usually does their own things.

"He's in a meeting. He's been in that office nonstop since he got on house arrest." I know my dad isn't going to rest until he has his business in order. My father will be a businessman to the death of him.

"Are you going to go back to Jamaica with him?" I haven't really expressed it to either of them, but they're the only family I have out here. If both of them go back to Jamaica I know they'll be taking all the staff with them, and it just leaves me here alone with this new family that I don't know.

"I am. I'll always be here for you, Bailey. It's just Jamaica is home for me. It's time you get out there and start living on your own. You don't need us here coddling you every step of the way."

"I do. Mama, you and my daddy are all I know. I need you." She shook her head and I already know by the look on her face that she's about to pull her tough love card. It just sucks, because they basically hid me and sheltered me my entire life and now they expect me to just be this independent adult on my own.

"Look here, we've been preparing you for this. You knew I wouldn't be here forever. I promised I would be here for you until you were of age. Baby, you're about to be nineteen. Your father found you a good husband. You have everything you need plus more to survive out here. You understand that the moment you step foot in Jamaica there are people waiting to kill you? This empire your father built is bigger than all of us. No person should have the amount of power he does and that's why people are dying to destroy it. The last thing anyone wants is for it to be passed down, and to a girl at that. It's your turn to take care of the family now. You need to prepare yourself for this responsibility." I nodded my head, knowing better to say anything else.

"Bailey, go get dressed. We're going out." I heard Jerrell's voice, before I could even see him. I turned around to see him walking into the kitchen with both of our fathers behind him. He visibly looks pissed, so even though I hadn't touched any of the breakfast I wasn't going to mention it. I stood up and followed behind him to the stairs.

"What should I wear?" I questioned only loud enough for him to hear.

"Something casual." What does that even mean? Literally anything can be casual. I walked into my room, heading straight for the closet. I stood in my closet for about ten minutes trying to find something that was casual enough to wear on this day out. Maybe if he would have told me what's on the agenda today I could have a better idea on what to wear. I groaned and grabbed a slip dress.

"Seriously, Bailey." Jerrell walked into the closet and took the dress out of my hand, putting it back onto the rack.

"I don't know what to wear." He looked around my closet before grabbing a couple random items that don't even go together.

"Jerrell, what is that?"

"Just put it on. Trust me, you'll look good in anything." I sighed and grabbed the clothes from him. I walked through the adjoining door that led to the bathroom and closed the door so I could change in private. I looked at myself in the mirror and shook my head. I have on a baggy tee shirt and shorts. I pulled my hair back into a ponytail and put on the sunglasses he gave me with my clothes. I opened the door to my closet to Jerrell handing me these denim slides I forgot I even owned.

"I look tacky." I told him while sliding my feet into the slides.

"You look good. Now come on."

"Where are we going?" I questioned while grabbing my wallet and phone.

"Anywhere off this damn estate."

"Wherever we're going, can we start with breakfast?"

"Yeah. Where are the cars at?" I walked around him, leading him down to my personal garage. I never understood why my father would buy me cars and not let me go anywhere, but I guess it comes in handy today. We walked into the garage and I motioned to all five of the cars.

"These are all mine, so whichever one you want to drive." I have my driver's license, but it's not like I'll know where to go.

"Bailey, why the hell do you have five cars? Have you even drove any of these?"

"They were gifts from my dad, and none of these cars have ever left this garage. I have no idea why he brought them at the time, but they come in handy now I guess. My first car was the white Range Rover. I got that one almost three years ago for my sixteenth birthday. That same year for Christmas I got the Bentley coupe. Seventeenth birthday I got the G-wagon, Audi A5 sport for Christmas that year. The most recent is the Tesla Model 3 that I got for my eighteenth birthday." I was excited when I got my first car since I thought it was his way of telling me I could start going out. When I realized it was just for display the cars didn't too much get me excited anymore.

"That means I can just sell my lil cars back home. You got us covered for the new house." He joked making me laugh.

"The keys are in that case. The code is 6-6-9-0-1." I watched him put in the code to make sure he entered it correctly before walking around to look at my vehicles. They get cleaned once a week and serviced every couple months, so I don't have to worry about them being dusty or having any issues. A few moments later the lights on the range flashed so I walked over to get into the passenger seat.

"Where are you trying to get breakfast at?"

"Anywhere is fine, I guess. I don't really have a preference."

"Shit. I forgot. We're basically both on our tourist hype today then." I laughed and pulled on my seat belt. He typed in a area on the GPS and I pressed the middle button on the rearview mirror to open the garage door. "My crew is on their way out here, so you'll get to meet them later on today. They're my family, so hopefully you don't get any bad vibes from them or no shit like that because I want you to be able to connect with them."

"I'll invite Cam over then. She's like a sister to me. That way all our people can meet." I pulled out my phone and sent a text to Cam to see if she can come stay the night. I don't know how long his friends plan on staying, but it's only right that Cam comes as well.

"That's cool. What kind of music you listen to?"

"Usually whatever is on the radio. I have a spotify account, but I usually just listen to the playlist on there."

"Lame." He laughed while synching his phone to the radio. I watched him intently, waiting for him to play something that'll wow me.

"Blueface?" I twisted up my face while reading the artist name off the screen.

"Just sit back and enjoy. I got nothing but bangers for you to listen to." He laughed while pulling out of the garage.

Jerrell |

"That hat is ugly." I told Bailey as we walked towards the Brookfield Place mall. She purchased this colorful hat from some lady outside of the subway station.

"You're one to talk with the way you dressed me today."

"You look good." I assured her while snapping a picture of her before we walked into the mall.

"Yeah, yeah. What's your favorite color?"

"Red, and I'm going to take a wild guess that yours is purple." I reached over and ran my fingers through her hair making her laugh.

"Oh my God. Follow me." She tossed her drink into the trash, grabbed my hand, and pulled me over to the Hermès store. I shook my head, already knowing that I'm going to be spending way more money than I anticipated. "Jerrell, what size shoe do you wear?"

"Eleven."

"Excuse me, can we get the Stadium sneaker in a size eleven in men? The all black, and the white and grey." I walked over to the display to get a closer look at the sneakers. They actually look pretty nice. Nothing I would have bought on my own, but I could see myself rocking them. I glanced down at the price tag and let out a sigh. Eleven hundred for some damn sneakers. I have to remember that I'll have full access to all of her accounts by the end of the week, so if she wants to break my pockets I have no choice but to let her. I'm getting it back with interest.

"No jewelry shopping today." I spoke into her ear while grabbing ahold of her hand to detour her to the other side of the store. I got money, but not jewelry splurging money. She picked out a couple purses then we left out the store. We went to Saks next then left to grab lunch. The sun had already set by the time we were pulling back into her garage at the estate.

"Thank you for taking me out. Today was really fun for me." She spoke with a small smile on her face before leaning over the console and hugging me. It was a brief hug, but just that small physical contact made me feel a little more for her than a potential friendship. She got out the car and I used the time to pull up the picture I took of her earlier.

I stared at the picture for a moment before posting it to my story without a caption. I knew what posting the picture would do, but I don't care. Bailey is a sweet girl, and the last thing I want to do is hurt her by continuing to fuck around with my hoes. Our relationship might not even advance further than friendship during this summer, but I owe it to her to at least give it a chance.

"Rell, that's you?!" I heard a familiar voice yell out as Bailey and I walked into the kitchen. I laughed at the sight of my crew sitting around the table with a feast laid out in front of them. I should have known these niggas were going to get into this estate and act a damn fool.

"Can't take y'all no fucking where." I joked. Bailey grabbed onto my arm while standing close to me and that's when I noticed how nervous she was.

"Yo ass thought you was bout to ditch us for the summer to come live like Halle Berry in BAPS? Fuck outta here. We all one, nigga." Tone joked causing all of us to laugh.

"Oop, am I late?" I turned my head to see a short dark skin girl walking into the kitchen. I could tell off bat that she's Bailey's friend.

"Nah, you right on time." LJ spoke while pulling out the chair next to him. The girl rolled her eyes and walked over to hug Bailey.

"Anyways, I sent for y'all to come out here so we can chill out together for the summer. I want y'all to relax and have fun because once the summer is over we're going to be busier than we've ever been business wise. I want y'all to meet Bailey. Bailey is the daughter of Ronald Rogers, and she's also my wife."

"What?!" Everyone yelled out at the same time. I let them all get out their shock before continuing on what I was saying.

"Bailey is my number one focus this summer since she'll be leaving after the summer until the middle of December. Hopefully being here this summer will give y'all the opportunity to get to know her since we'll all be staying here in her estate. Now I want everyone to go around the room and introduce yourselves." It was quiet for a while before Ju spoke up.

"I'm Josiah, but everyone calls me Ju. Jerrell is damn near my brother." I looked down at Bailey to see a small smile on her face.

"Nice to meet you." It went down the line from there.

"I'm Jade, Ju's girlfriend."

"Tone. I'm Rell's cousin."

"LJ. Rell's cousin as well."

"I'm Essence, LJ's younger sister."

"And I'm Camille. I'm Bailey's best friend and roommate."

"Roommate? You live here too?" LJ asked making me facepalm myself. Why my people gotta be so ignorant?

"No, we're roommates at school."

"I told Unc to leave his dumbass back home." Tone mumbled while throwing a dinner roll at him.

"Did my dad tell you guys where you'll be sleeping?" Bailey spoke up. She still has a hold of my arm, but she's noticeably relaxed some since we first walked in.

"Nah. He said we're y'all guest so we gotta stay on your side of the estate." Bailey nodded and turned to me.

"I only have five extra rooms. That includes the one you're sleeping in and one of the rooms is Cam's. She has it decorated and everything already. That leaves three rooms and it's five people." She's making it seem like it's a problem or something. These niggas can double up for all I care.

"That ain't nothing to stress over. Ju and Jade sleeping together already. Whoever is left over can share." I turned to announce that two of them would have to share a room, but Bailey tugged on my arm to get my attention.

"You can stay in my room. I mean... that's what married people do right?"

"Don't force a situation if you aren't comfortable with it."

"I'm okay with it."

"Are you su-"

"Damn, can y'all talk loud enough for all of us to hear? Rude asses. Whispering and shit like it's not a room full of people in front of y'all." Tone cut in, but I didn't take my focus off Bailey. I don't want her to feel like I'm forcing myself into her space and none of these niggas gonna intimidate her.

"I'm sure." She nodded before turning to face everyone. "We're currently on my side of the estate. The bedrooms are up the staircase through this door. Cam already has her own room which leaves four rooms for you guys. Two of the rooms have a connecting bathroom. The other two have their own bathrooms. Feel free to explore, just not to the East wing which is my dad and grandma's side. Or the North wing which is where all the staff stay. We can show you guys around tomorrow." As soon she finished talking Essence jumped up and took off towards the stairs.

"Sorry, but I need my own bathroom!" She yelled out. Jade jumped up and took off after her.

"Go secure our living quarters, babe!" Ju cheered Jade on. I laughed and looked at LJ and Tone. They looked at each other and shrugged their shoulders before going back to eating. Them niggas can care less about having their own bathrooms.

"Bailey, we definitely need to talk." Cam spoke up. I know she probably wants to know about the marriage since Bailey and I haven't spoken to anyone about it yet.

"Walk with me upstairs." They linked arms and headed off to the stairs. I walked over to the table and sat in the seat Essence was just in.

"Now that the girls are gone, tell us what's going on." Ju started.

"Y'all know we've been looking to expand, and Bailey and I getting married does exactly that. We're now linked into the Rogers empire for life. This legal shit is basically forcing Ronald into an early retirement which means the business automatically goes to Bailey. Now that we're married, the business is in my hands. We're about to be bigger than ever. I just need all of y'all to be prepared for what's about to take place. After this summer there's no telling when we'll have another time to relax like this so seriously enjoy yourselves. Once the summer is over it's go time."

"You know we rockin with you. Just tell us when it's go time." Tone assured me while sending me a salute. I smirked and slapped hands with all of them.

Chapter was boring, but the introductions are out of the way and the crew has arrived. There are some new faces added to the characters page as well, so be sure to go check it out.
