Angel's POV

I was in the pack house's library - the pack house is where the wolves with higher rankings live, there are also offices and places to mingle, the library was HUGE - reading some random book when I began to feel slightly lightheaded. It wasn't too bad and I didn't want to distract the twins when they were doing their Alpha work, so I just brushed it off and read. After a minute or so, black dots started to appear and I clutched my head as it started to throb. I rose to my feet and swayed slightly when trying to walk.

Using one hand to hold myself up with the help of a wall and the other hand still holding my head, I walked slowly towards the library doors. I made it just out the door when my knees buckled under me and I fell to the floor.

A passing pack member saw me and dropped the basket she was holding while running towards me.

"Luna! Are you alright?"

The throbbing in my head grew stronger and stronger until it was nearly unbearable.

"The twins. Call the Alphas." I managed to wheeze out in my aching state and she immediately mindlinked them.

The next second I could hear their heavy footsteps running towards us in full speed. They came around the corner and nearly knocked the lady over in their haste to get to me.

"Angel!"

Xavier cradled me to his chest as they started running towards somewhere.

Running through doors and corridors we ended up in somewhere that looked like a hospital wing.

The twins barged into a room which was filled with white beds and some kind of machines and other stuff.

Xavier yelled 'doctor!' so loud that my ears started ringing. He laid me down on a bed, making sure I was as comfortable as I could be while we waited for the doctor.

A man with a white lab coat and a clipboard rushed in and to us.

"Luna, Alphas. What seems to be the problem?"

They all turned to me as I hadn't had the chance to even tell the twins what exactly happened.

"Well, I was in the library reading when I suddenly started to feel lightheaded and my head started to throb."

The doctor nodded. "And did black dots start to come into your vision? Was it hard to stand or walk?"

"Yes. How did you know?"

This time he turned to the twins.

"You haven't marked her yet, am I right?"

They both nodded and answered simultaneously.

"Yes doc."

"Well that explains it."

"What is it then?"

"Her body is getting exhausted from the lack of energy as it goes into strengthening her scent to you. If it goes on like that she will pass out soon."

The twins growled, pressing out a 'thank you' to the doctor who bowed and left the room. Once the door closed, they turned to look at me, guilt clear in their eyes. They were standing at both sides of the bed holding my hands while I reassured them that it wasn't their fault. They obviously didn't listen to me and continued accusing themselves.

I closed my eyes, feeling extremely tired.

"Angel?!? No no no don't close your eyes!"

I whined, feeling the headache get even worse and now spread throughout my body until my whole body was hurting.

"You have to mark me..." I whispered as I felt myself being pulled into a dark abyss. The last thing I felt was two feather light kisses on the sides of my neck and then two sets of animalistic teeth ripping through my skin and muscles. After that, I was out.

-------------------------------------

*a week later*

-------------------------------------

The darkness surrounded me like a blanket. I couldn't see or move but I could hear what was going on in the world around me.

The twins haven't left my side, constantly touching me or talking to me softly, begging for me to wake up. It hurt. Their voices sounded so broken and vulnerable. I don't even know how long it has been.

Right now they were holding my hands and combing through my hair with their warm fingers.

I could hear the door opening and closing, somebody came in.

"Has she woken yet?"

Chris.

While the twins stayed, the others have visited from time to time.

"No." The answer was a hushed whisper but you could still hear Xavier's voice crack.

A sigh and then footsteps coming closer.

"Guys, it's been a week-"

A week???

"- and you need to eat, you haven't left her side since she passed out. You haven't eaten or showered and I must say you stink. If I had to wake up to such an awful smell, I would scream bloody murder."

They haven't eaten for a week?!? Oh, they're so getting it once I get up.

"No. We're not leaving her."

"Come on guys. I'll bring the food here, so you can eat while watching her but you really need to shower."

Two heavy sighs from the twins and then kisses on my forehead and cheeks.

"Fine."

"Finally!" And Chris' footsteps went further, the door opening and closing again as he left.

Once the door was closed, the twins rested their faces in my neck inhaling my scent as much as they could.

"Please Angel, wake up."

After a few minutes someone came in again.

"And now eat." Chris was back.

I could hear them shuffling around but the twins' strong aura they had around them never went away so I guess they hadn't moved.

After a minute or so the munching noises stopped and Chris began to talk again.

"And now go shower."

Two thunderous growls was the only answer he got.

"Fine, be that way. It's not my fault if she chokes from lack of fresh air." And I could almost see him shashaying away like he always did in situations like this. I imagined him counting form three to one in his head as he knew the twins were going to give in.

"Fine."

Aaaaand they gave in.

"But you better call us when she even so much as shivers."

Mates and their protective instincts.

"Ya ya I'll be sure to inform you."

The twins' auras went away from me and Chris took their place on one side of me.

Once they had closed the door after them, I could hear Chris mutter to himself.

"But not while you're taking a shower. Goddess knows you need it."

The sound of a chair scraping against the floor and then a sigh as he plopped himself down on it.

"Angel, I don't know if you can hear me or anyone else but you really need to wake up soon. We're all falling apart without you, especially the twins. Neither they nor their wolves can cope without you. And I miss my little sweetie pie."

I tried to move my fingers to let him know that I was there, listening. I think it worked as I heard him gasp.

"Angel? Sweetie pie, can you hear me?"

Flaring my nostrils for a second as an answer.

"I knew you could hear me! Oh sweetie pie, you have to wake up, you know that, right?"

Twitching my finger again.

"Wonderful! I'll call the doctor, but I'll let the twins finish their shower before telling them. Is that okay with you, sweetie pie?"

A corner of my mouth twitching upwards a little.

"Okay."

Some seconds later there was a set of footsteps rushing in.

"What happened, beta Chris?"

Oh, it's the doctor, I recognized his voice.

"I talked to the Luna and she answered me with a move of her fingers, then her nose and the corner of her mouth tug up a little too."

"Excellent! It might mean that she's waking up."

He began shuffling around me and Chris gave him room as he stepped away a little.

Suddenly the doors crashed open as two growling twins - also known as my darling mates - stepped in.

"What's going on in here?!?" And then they were next to me, holding my hands.

"I-it seems that the Luna is waking up." Came the doctor's shaky voice.

"Why didn't you inform us, beta??" Their voices went lower than normal which means that Ryder and Tyler had taken control.
