"Get it off me!! Get it off!'' Screamed Davis. Looking down at the mid size monster slobbering all over his foot. Andie was the first to grab a loose tree branch, Raymond fast behind her. 

''No! Don't hit it!'' Yelled Lightning. ''Don't, he wont hurt you Davis, just sit there and be quiet, stop screaming!"

''You fucking nuts! This thing got my foot in its mouth!" Davis could not move away, and with his trying he fell backwards tumbling into Andie knocking her over as well. 

''What the hell is that thing?'' Screamed Raymond, holding a branch, ready to strike.

The mid sized creature was a snail, with a big head, glowing red eyes, and a hard shell body. Scary looking, though he was not trying to harm Davis.

''That is a snail, he must belong to someone around here, much like dogs in your world. See he has a collar on. He is just being friendly Davis, calm down all of you! Whoever owns him wont be far behind and you don't want to hurt the little guy.""

''Get off, go home! Go away!'' Yelled Davis. Struggling to pull his foot out of the snails mouth.

''Why is he eating his shoe?" Asked Raymond. Still ready to strike.

''He ain't eating his shoe, at least I don't think so. Is he?'' Said Lightning.

''Well he doing something to it, get off me, get off, look he is stretching it out, what the fuck?'' Said Davis.

The snail was tugging at Davis's foot, Davis was pulling it back the other way, stretching it.

''I got a Ronald MacDonald foot now! Look what he did!" Screamed Davis.

''How the hell can that happen?'' Asked Andie as she tried to help Davis get away.

''This is Heidorn, remember, things work different here. Stop tugging, it will only make it longer. Stop messing with him!" Insisted Lightning.

''Messing with him? You crazy he got my foot in his mouth!"

''Here boy, here, come here." Lightning.called and whistled, grabbing the snail by the collar, 

''The snail let go and Davis pulled his Ronald MacDonald foot away. ''How the hell am I gonna walk like this?'' He said looking down at his unusually long shoe.

''Is your foot stretched out too? Asked Andie concerned.

''No, I wiggled my toes and they are all the way down here.'' Davis pointed to mid way. Anyone got a knife? Maybe we can cut it off, I am gonna fall on my face trying to walk like this."

''You can manage, If I can get around like this, you can too!"" Said Lightning.

''This is ridiculous, I mean what else is out here? Whats next?"" Asked Davis.

''All kinds of stuff, that is why we gotta move, I think towards the Pendana, where Benjamin wont go, where your buddies will go look first. We can camp out at the edge of the woods there, maybe catch sight of someone looking for you guys.'' Advised Lightning.

''I think that is the best plan we have, like he said Benjamin wont go there looking.'' Raymond agreed.

''Fine then lets go, Andie walk with me, in case I trip over something and land on a god knows what!"" Said Davis.

They walked in the moonlight, headed to the Pendana, hoping Benjamin would go the other way. One thing they were not thinking about was Sloane would be looking for Benjamin.

Marcus and Lucas reached the burned down marketplace, there were items scattered everywhere, the merchants scrambling around trying to divide the belongings. Angry faces looked up at the knight and passenger as they rode into the chaos. The smell of sewage making both of them gag.

''What the hell happened here? The stench is horrible! How disgusting!" Marcus said holding his hand over his mouth. 

They kept moving along the trail of destruction, coming up to the tent that Davis had been in, it was semi intact. They got off the horse and walked around. Marcus saw something shiny that resembled a credit card. He picked it up and read out loud to Lucas.

''Gold card, Lucas Barrington.'' He smiled. I told you. He was here.'' He said handing Lucas the card.

''What? Let me see, give it to me!" He snatched it away, and saw his name. He shook his head in disgust.

''My god Davis what have you done?'' He said.

''You! You! You know these men? You will pay for this!"" Yelled a tiny man, a merchant, short, human looking in a robe like the others. His fists were flying towards Lucas. He heard him and knew Lucas knew the men.

''Excuse me? I will pay for this? I was not even here!'' Replied Lucas.

''Then you find them and make them pay!" He yelled angrily.

''Where did they go? These men?" Asked Marcus.

''There, off to the Pendana, there, they stole my apple cart!"" He yelled and pointed to the woods.

As they looked in the direction the man had pointed to, Lucas's eyes met Benjamins. He jumped onto his horse and raced at him, sword in hand. Benjamin smiled as he reached for a sword he had attached to the horses saddle.

Sloane headed towards the smoke, taking the trail in the woods which would bring her close enough to see, but not be seen. She got off her horse, leaving it to graze and she walked into the woods following towards the marketplace, Within minutes she would come up upon Andie and the others.

She had an advantage, she was alone and good at not making noise, the moon was now high overhead, lighting the woods up as if there were stadium lights. She saw four figures heading in her direction, two walking and two stumbling. Maybe merchants, maybe scavengers, possibly injured from the way they were slowly making their way to her. She tried to hear their words but was unable to make out what they were saying they were too far away.

''Pick up any good size rocks, small enough to carry yet big enough to hurt if we use them.'' Advised Lightning. Andie and Raymond picked up and handed them to Davis who stored some in his fanny pak and others they kept in whatever pockets they had. Davis had found a large branch, to use as a cane, to help steady him as he learned how to balance on his reshaped shoe.

''Of all the bullshit, I cant believe this."He complained as he walked. 

Up ahead the moon was huge as if it was sitting on the ground, a beaming ball of light, far different than the moon they knew. walking in front of it they could see a figure, Looked female, her bouncing curls giving her away.

''Shit, its that psycho bitch Sloane, I just know it!'' I never forget a hairstyle, that's her! Whispered Davis to the others.

''She is no joke, if she knows it is you guys, we are all dead!" Lighting said.

''And she is moving fast, right at us!" Gasped Andie, ready to throw her rock aiming right at Sloanes head. Raymond armed and ready as well, Davis holding his branch like a baseball bat and lighting was spinning in circles fast and furiously like a tornado.
