I was running fast and was ocassasionally looking behind to see whether he was still after me.I suddenly bumped into someone and fell on the ground hitting my head.My vision soon blurred and I could see someone staring at me.I tried to keep my eyes open but they shut. Is this what they call death?I wonder if I will be sent to heaven or hell? Well, with the blackmailing charge in my kitty......hell it is.

Aaruj's POV

"What's wrong with you Aaruj?That was the easiest one.How could you drop it?"coach yelled at me in anger.

I was playing so pathetic today. Coach was still glaring at me for dropping the easiest catch. We were preparing for the tournament. I needed to work on my fielding a bit.Just when my team mate threw a ball at me,I told myself to concentrate on it. I really couldn't afford one more misfield. It went high in the air. I was walking backwards while I kept my eyes in the sky.

Just when the ball touched my palm and I was about to grab it,I bumped into someone. Darn...coach is gonna hang me right here in this ground. I heard coach cursing me under his breath but he stopped soon. I wondered what made him go mute. I turned around to see who that stupid person was. I saw everywhere but couldn't find him. Then my eyes lowered to the ground. There was a girl lying with her body sprawled on the ground. One of my teammate was having a look at her. To be specific he was checking whether that girl was still alive. I couldn't see who she was as her hair were covering most of her face.But I felt like I knew her.

I hope she is okay.But what was that stupid girl doing in the middle of the playground. Was she blind? Couldn't she watch almost a six feet tall person standing in front of her.

I was about to bend down and lift her up from the ground. Suddenly my hand was jerked away by someone. When my eyes met with the person,a wave of anger passed through me. He was none other than Mayank Joshi.The star player of the senior cricket team,according to our coach and some other people at academy. To be honest,I didn't had the same opinion about him.

We never got along with each other. Though we played for the same academy there was a tiff between us. I guess he was insecure about his position at academy as I was a big threat to it. He sat down on the ground and rested that girl's head on his lap. He was now trying to wake her up by slapping her cheeks softly. I just stood back there along with other people who had gathered . I was now less bothered about that girl after knowing she was with Mayank. However what he said further shocked me as hell.

"Nia,wake up.Look at me.please open your eyes for god's sake."he spoke in a worried tone. Did I hear the wrong name? I looked at her now visible face and soon realised it was none other than Nia. I knelt down beside her imidiately. I extended my hand to touch her face but Mayank pulled it away saying"You bast***d! Stay away from her. If anything happens to her.I am gonna kill you."

I avoided his warning and was trying to wake her up. I was really concerned now as she was still not responding. All of our efforts had failed to wake her up."Take her to the medical room."coach suggested. "Yes."Mayank and I replied in unison and then we shot glares at each other.Before I could do something,he scooped her up in his arms and made his way to the medical room.I followed him.We were accompanied by coach and some of the boys.

He put her on the bed and soon the doctor entered the room. He checked her pulse and then went on to check her eyes. Mayank narrated him the whole incident. After the basic checks, he turned his attention to all of us. "The girl is okay now. She is unconcious due to the concussion. She will regain her consciousness once she comes out of the trauma.Who is related to her?"

Mayank and I both stepped forward. How come he is even related to her?She is an angel and he is the most irritating person on the earth.Even their last names are different. If they were cousins I would have come to know about it since I know both of them for a while now.Gawwd! This mystery is killing me.

"You junior....stay out of it okay."warned Mayank glaring at me.Then turning his attention to the doctor he said"you can tell me what's the matter." Doctor soon left with him to his cabin. Now there were only few people present in the room. "Let's move guys.As the doctor said the girl is okay now.Our champ is with her.We need to get back to the practise session."ordered Coach.Soon everyone started moving out of the room.Coach gave me a questioning look when he noticed I was still glued to my place.

"Aaruj it was an accident and that girl is okay now.It was her fault that she was running in the middle of the ground.Let's go.You heard me right? "He spoke in a practical manner.I wanted to defend her but didn't speak. I had a great respect for my coach but his words for Nia didn't sound well to my ears.I moved out of the room along with him.

Then suddenly stopping in my tracks I told him"Coach, I forgot my gloves inside."He gave me questioning look for a moment and then questioned"Were you even wearing gloves when you got here?"

Oh oh!! It's very hard to fool him.He is smarter than a sniffer dog.Think of something else Aaruj. "I didn't say gloves coach. I said I forgot my cap.Age is taking over you.Even my Dadi ma is facing same problem.You should see a doc before this gets worse."I tried to portray sympathetic expressions while saying it. Offcouse I was lying about Dadi ma.She was hale and hearty. touchwood.

My lie worked and he bought it.I guess age is a sensitive issue. I returned to the room and neared her bed. I wished I could prevent her from falling. It hurt so much to see her like that,unconscious and lifeless. Her face looked pale in the light. Suddenly she stired in the bed.She was now opening her eyes gradually. It looked like she had to put lot of efforts in opening them.I sat on the bed and scooted closer to her.

"Hey you alright?"I said carrasing her cheek with my thumb."Who are you and why are you touching me?"she said scrunching her nose in disgust.Why did she looked at me as if I was a stranger?Did she had a memory loss? Did she really forget who I was?I was brought back from my chain of thoughts by her laughter. Did she go insane after hitting her head?

I gave her a confused look."You should have seen your face Aaruj when I said those words."she said with a playful smile on her lips. I was relieved after realising she was alright. But I shot her an angry look instead. She mouthed a sorry and said"I didn't know you also play for the same academy." We were interrupted by an angry voice."What are you doing here? I told you to stay away from my sister."spoke Mayank shooting daggers with his eyes.

I bet I never found any word as amusing as sister till now.I was smiling like an idiot."What's so funny huh?"he asked nearing me and grabbing my collar. I stood up and gave him a continous glare in return. "Mayank,leave him.He is my friend."Nia intervened. He released his grip on my collar. He had disbelieving look on his face.Then he asked her"How can this jerk be your friend?"

"I thought the same dude when I came to know you are her brother."I said teasing him.

"Who even asked for your opinion you jerkface junior? "He replied boiling with anger."Guys stop it.Your fight is even worse than the concussion I had."said Nia rubbing her head. We both gave her a sheepish smile. Then he helped her get up and we all headed out.

Nia's POV

"Now you can spare us and get back to your practice since you need to struggle to beat my awesomeness."said Mayank with a smirk.Aaruj gave him an angry look and was about to make a comeback in the argument. But I interrupted them saying"If you ladies are done with your catfight, can we head home Mayank?" I didn't care if I sound like a sexist. I just wanted to go home and rest.

They looked offended by my comment. I was bursting into fits of laughter now. But soon my head started aching. I said bye to Aaruj. Then Mayank and I exited the academy.

"Mayank, you are not a responsible brother at all. Thank god!The injury wasn't severe. What if something serious had happened to Nia?"Chetan uncle was scolding him. He just mumbled a sorry in response. I was really feeling bad for him.It wasn't his fault that I got injured.

"Uncle, Don't blame him.I was not being careful."I said defending him."Nia baccha you are our responsibility. How would have we faced your parents if anything had happened to you."replied Uncle.I smiled at him and assured him"But I am fine now".

"You go and take rest.I will bring food in your room."said Aunty as she gently stroked my hair. I listened to her and soon went to my room.I still was having a slight headache.So I lied down on bed and fell into a deep slumber.

Aunty woke me up as she had brought food for me. I rose up in my bed and finished the food from the platter. It was my favourite Paneer gravy and onion paratha. I felt better when my tummy was refilled. After taking a rest for a while, I headed to the living room. Chetan Uncle was watching some news on tv. I plopped down on the couch. He enquired after my health. I told him I was feeling alright now.Soon the bell rang. I was getting up but uncle stopped me and went to open the door.

"How are you patient? We brought you Ice-cream.hope it helps."Said Sasha entering the living room. Pranjal tagged along with her.I had texted them a while ago as I got bored of resting. I didn't expect their surprise visit though. I introduced them to Uncle and Aunty. Mayank was at his friend's place. "There is someone who wants to meet you."said Pranjal giving me a smile. He went out and brought a little girl with him. I recognised her instantly. "Panchi"I screamed overflowing with excitement. She walked upto me and hugged me.She was hardly reaching till my knees. I bent down and hugged her back.

"Did you like the card I made for you?"she asked. "Yes.I loved it so much.Thank you sweetheart."I replied and placed a kiss on her cheek. Then we all sat on the couch talking and eating the snacks Aunty had made for us. Uncle and Aunty were so happy to meet Panchi and so was I. She really was so adorable.

"Nia Didi, you know I have four little kittens at home. I have named them Kareena, Katrina,Sasha and Nia."she told innocently. This earned Pranjal an angry look from me and Sasha. He tried to avoid meeting our eyes."I am pretty sure you suggested her our names."she accused him slapping his arm.

"No, I didn't.I told you she is a little James bond. She keeps spying on me all the time. May be she picked up your names when she heard me talking to you guys.She could be annoying sometimes."explained Pranjal.

"I am not annoying. I am so cute."Panchi said making a pout. We all laughed at her expressions. After an hour or so,those guys left as Sasha had to reach hostel in time.

I skipped the dinner as I wasn't hungry. Aunty didn't look happy with it but didn't push it much either. I directly went to bed. My eyes were now heavy with sleep. Suddenly my phone beeped with a message. My sleep had left me the very instant I saw the sender's name. It brought a huge grin on my face. Thank god!he wasn't here to witness my stupid reaction.It would have boosted his ego more.

Aaruj: Hw r u Miss tantrum?

Me: I m fi9 pinky.

Aaruj: urgh....dont call me dat & sry 4 hurting u 2day.I ws worried abt u.

Me: u worrying abt m?omg.:)

Aaruj: I wanted to say I was worried about me.;) it was a typo.:p

Me: lier!!!!

Aaruj: u wish:p..u free on Sunday?

Me: Well let me check.....I m actually so occupied. Can't make it.nxt time may b.

I was just kidding around. I feared he would cancel the plan if I stretch it too far. There wasn't any reply from him. I waited for his message impatiently. I was about to give up just when my phone beeped again.

Aaruj: U r not in denying position hon.remember the bet? Gn.be ready on Sunday at 7am.

He called me hon??Well it could be again a typo error as he mentioned earlier.

Me :I never ever get up at 7am on sundays.

Aaruj :I will come to your house and will take you out forcefully. ;)

Me: who are we kidding here? I know you can't.

Aaruj: If it's a challenge? It's taken.:)

A/N:So there is a bit confusion regarding why Rehan was shocked realising Mayank is Nia's brother. Following are the reasons:
● Rehan knows Mayank from long time since he is his elder brother's good friend and knows he the only child of his parents so Nia being his sister makes him confused for a while.But then he thinks she might be his remote relative or a cousin.
●The most important reason is Rehan was also involved in bullying Nia to some extent as he is friends with evil group(Jay, Aaruj & Warren) So he then feels nervous thinking Mayank wouldn't like it if he comes to know about that.
