I woke up early, took a shower and got dressed in denims and white top. I let hair open as they were still wet.I am not into dryers as I feel they soak all moisture from hair.

I went to the living room.I saw Uncle and Mayank watching cricket match.I greeted both of them.At first, they both looked surprised but Uncle soon greeted me back with a smile.Mayank was being Mayank.He royally ignored me.

"Nia beta, you woke up early today . That's good.Now we all can have breakfast together.Veena is making Dosa. You will love it.",Uncle said with an excitement in his tone.

"Wow!I love Dosa.But Mom doesn't make it at home.It's the only thing she is not good at.I am so hungry.I will go in the kitchen and check it out.", I replied.

Mayank was still engrossed in the match but I could bet he was listening to our conversation.

I went into the kitchen. Veena Aunty was putting Dosa batter on the pan.She looked surprised when she saw me.I went closer to the platform and greeted her.She gave me a big smile in response.

"You are up so early dear.I am making Dosa.Sorry I forgot to ask whether you like it or not.Should I make something else for you?", She asked in a worried tone.

"Nope.I just looooooove Dosa.Mom doesn't make it.So I have to eat it out.", I replied.

"Call your Uncle and Mayank for breakfast or they will be stuck to their places till the match finishes.I will put these Dosas on the table.", She said.

"I will help you out.Give me the casserole and don't worry I will call them for breakfast.", I assured her.

After helping Aunty, I called up Uncle and Mayank.Mayank was still glued to the Couch.Uncle literally dragged him to the dining table.

We sat at the table.Uncle was talking to Veena Aunty about his new boss.Mayak was sitting next to me.

He was eating like he never had food in years.He caught me staring at him.

"What are you looking at?", He asked in an angry tone.

"You will choke up if you keep eating at this speed.", I said holding back the laughter.

"Mind your own business.I don't need your advice. ", He replied.

"Mayank speak to her properly. She was just trying to be nice . Don't you dare talk to her in that manner again.", Uncle warned him.

Mayank got up from his chair in anger and went to his room.

"This boy is becoming stubborn day by day.I will show him how to speak politely.", Aunty spoke with anger.

She was about to get up from the chair.I stopped her.I told her that I will talk to Mayank.At first she was not happy with the idea but then she felt it was right that we both sort out our differences on our own.

I went to his room.I knocked at the door though it was open.Mayank was sitting on the bed.He looked angry.He saw me standing at the door and shot me an angry look.

I went inside and stood in front of the bed where he was sitting.

"I know you don't really like me and I totally deserve it.I have been acting like a jerk lately.I was rude to Uncle, Aunty and to you as well.But I am not like that at all.I did it because I wanted to get out of this place.", I said.

"I saw your boyfriend last night when I returned from my tour. He came to get you back to Pune.Why didn't you go? That's what you wanted right?",he now sounded curious.

"First of all, he is not my boyfriend. He is my best friend Sam and second, I have now decided that I am gonna stay here and continue my studies. ", I explained.

"Why didn't you go? My problems would have ended up easily. ", he said with a sarcastic smile.

"I am afraid they won't end up soon.You have to bear with this baby for two more years.", I said dramatically.

I saw him smiling for the first time since I got up here. He looked cute when he smiled.But not as cute as Rishabh.I shook off Rishabh's thought from my head.

"OMG! you can smile.", I said with a smirk.

"Yes.But it doesn't mean we are cool.You have to prove that you will not be a jerk again.", he replied.

"I promise.Thanks for hearing me out.I am gonna go now as I don't want to be late again for my physics class", with these I left his room.

*****************************************I entered into the classroom. I was early as the teacher hadn't come yet.I got seated in the chair. I noticed someone staring at me.It was a boy.He looked familiar.I couldn't remember where I have seen him before.

He got up from chair and came closer to me.Now I could see his face clearly.Then a realisation suddenly hit me.He was the same guy who was beaten up on the first day by the evil group.

"Hi I am Pranjal Sharma. I am your classmate.I wanted to thank you for helping me the other day.", he said while pulling up his glasses.

"Hi Pranjal, I am Nia Subhash. Don't say thanks. It was my duty as a human being to help you.", I replied.

"But what you did was not ordinary. You don't know how bad those guys are.You saved me from those monsters. I owe you big.", he said with a smile on face.

"Can I seat beside you?only if thats okay with you?", he asked.

I just nodded in response. He sat on the chair to my right.Soon Mrs Shukla, our Physics teacher entered the classroom.

She started teaching Newton's law.I was taking down the notes when suddenly someone hit me with a paper ball.I looked in the direction from where it came.

I saw a girl waving at me.I was confused at first then I noticed she was trying to tell me something with her actions.

It took me almost five minutes to figure out that she wanted me to read the message in the paper ball.

I opened it.It read.

Hieee, remember me ? We met in maths class on the day you messed up with Jay and his dumb followers. I wanted to talk to you more but you ran away.btw I am Sasha Agarwal. :)

After reading it, I looked back at her.She had coloured her hair in red streaks.It reminded me that it was the same girl who tried talking to me in maths class on my first day.

I just smiled back and went back to taking the notes.Soon the bell rang. I got up from chair and walked out of classroom.I was joined by Sasha and Pranjal in the corridor.

"Hey you can't just run away from people. You didn't even tell me your name.", Sasha complained.

"Her name is Nia.", Pranjal answered for me.

"Pranjal she can speak. She is not mute.", with this she slapped his arm.He made a hurt face and rubbed his arm.

"You guys are friends? ", I asked.

"Yup and now you are also friends with us.Right?", she said with a big smiley face.

I was confused as hell but she took it as yes and dragged me to the cafeteria with her.

Our next class was cancelled so we had spare time.We sat at the table in the middle of the cafeteria. Sasha ordered herself a cheeseburger and coke.Pranjal was having club sandwich. I was already full with the Dosas so I ordered a strawberry milkshake.

We were eating and talking about our lives,families and friends.I came to know that Sasha was hostelised and Her family lived in Delhi.Her real name was Samiksha but she hated being called that.Pranjal was a localide and lived with his family.

We were having a really good time.Our conversation was interrupted by a voice.We all looked in the direction of it.

It was Jay and his Evil group Aaruj, Warren, Rehan.There was one girl as well but I didn't know her.

"Look who's here? I thought you would never come back after yesterday's little prank.But you are so stubborn. I like it", Jay said with a smirk.

Pranjal and Sasha looked confused as they had no clue of what had happened yesterday.

"What up guys? looks like you are having a party without us .Wait, we ain't loosers. That's why we aren't invited for your party.Right?, Warren said sarcastically.

"Get the hell out of here.You Dumbo.", Sasha spoke with an anger.

"Or what would you do Samikkkksha?", Jay asked her in a teasing tone.

"You jerk, I will smash your face.", with this Sasha was about to punch his face but I stopped her.

"Guys let's go from here. We are getting late for our chemistry class.", Pranjal said to both of us.

"You need to listen to this boy or you will be having colour all over your face just like your friend had yesterday. ", Jay warned Sasha.

Sasha and Pranjal looked confused due to what he had said as they had no clue of the paint incident.

I was now boiling with anger. I wanted to do something. Jay's words reminded me of how awful I was looking with that colour all over my face.

I heard a voice inside my brain.It was growing louder.It reminded me I am not a chicken anymore. Before even realising what I was doing, I poured the strawberry milkshake on Jay's head.

Whole cafeteria went silent after watching Jay covered in milkshake.Some people couldn't hold back the laughter. They started giggling. Soon the whole cafeteria was laughing at Jay.

Sasha was rolling on the floor with laughter. Pranjal was trying hard not to laugh.I couldn't figure out what should I do exactly. I was dumbfounded but my mind was doing a happy dance.

"I will not spare you for this.You will pay for this soon.", he warned me.After this, Jay and his evil group stormed off.

I was sure that I was going to be in a bigger mess now.
