It felt like pounds of weight was put on my body. It was a big giant rope that was wrapped around me.

But suddenly I realised that it wasn't the rope that had stopped me from moving. My body was tied to something else with that heavy rope.

As soon as I observed the surroundings, a wave of horror passed through my body. I was tied to a railway track and there was a distant sound of an engine.Soon, the sound grew louder.

Now I could clearly see the engine that was heading towards me. I was praying to god for a miracle.

I saw a familiar face that was peeping through the cabin of the engine. Oh my god! It's dad.

"Please daddy don't kill me.", I screamed till my lungs were almost out.

I heard a monstrous laughter, but it didn't sound like dad at all.

I had heard it before. But where?

I opened my eyes as I felt tears rolling down my cheeks.

I saw her staring at me with the most shocked expression anyone could ever have.

It was my so called best friend Nikki who was now rolling on the floor with laughter.

Meet Nikita Singh aka Nikki. She might look tiny, cute harmless creature. But don't go with the appearance. Mess with this cute girl and she will become grizzly bear and rip you off.But befriend her and you will have a buddy for lifetime.

I rose up in bed. It was a stupid dream. Great! now the local trains of mumbai were haunting me in my dreams.

I had added one more story to the session called 'blackmailing Nia with her most embarrassing moments'. This session was carried out by my two best friends to make me agree for those things I usually wouldn't.

I stood up and threw a pilllow (actually a bunch of pillows) in Nikki's direction who was still in a laughing mode.

I went to bathroom to take shower. I heard Mom's voice the room. She was asking Nikki, what she would like to eat for breakfast.

Sometimes I would feel jealous the way these two got along.

But this jealousy wouldn't last long as they both held a special place in my life.

The thought of living everyday without these people looked utterly impossible to me now.

That very moment, I decided, I would talk to my dad about not leaving.

After taking shower, I got ready and went downstairs as mom and Nikki had already left my room. I saw dad sitting at our dining table. He looked more interested in the newspaper he was reading as the food in the platter remained untouched.

Nikki and mom were in the kitchen. I overheard some part of their conversation. Nikki was telling mom about her new college.

It was the same college we had decided to get into even before the 10th grade results were out.

The thought of that college brought me back from my thinking land and I headed towards the dining table.

I coughed to get dad's attention but he didn't even bother to look up from the newspaper.

"Daddy", I said in a lower voice.

He looked at me and again turned his eyes to the stupid newspaper.

I hated the way I was around him. I wasn't confident to even speak properly.

I gathered courage and spoke again,"Dad, I want to talk to you".

He just blandly responded,"about what?"

"I don't want to leave Pune.", I finally admitted.

************************************************************************************

I have divided this chapter into two parts as I felt it was necessary for you to get the clear idea of Nia and her life in her hometown Pune.while editing this chapter I realised that I haven't said any good thing about Mumbai in my chapters. It's not personal at all;) I don't hate this city.So please don't feel bad about it as it's a character's POV.

Happy reading♡♡♡
