"So, how much fun is it to help the principal out everyday?" Trey asks as we were all sitting at our table for lunch.

I shook my head. "It's not fun at all." Working for Julia was a nightmare, and I hated every bit of it. It's only been three days with her, but it felt like a month. It's weird to be in the same room with her because of our unfortunate meeting a few days ago.

I can't seem to wrap my brain around the fact that I slept with her not even four days ago. I don't understand why she decided to make my punishment to where we have to see each other for a week, when she was freaking out that first day she found out who I was.

It makes no sense.

"Well, it's the price you pay when you beat someone up." Trey says before he takes a bite from his salad.

I sigh. "I did not beat him up. I punched him." I clarified.

He shrugs. "What's the difference?"

I shook my head. This whole school is nothing but rumor spreading stupid ass teenagers, who basically feed off of made-up rumors from other students. It's stupid, and I hate it here. I'm praying that these next few months will go by so damn fast so I can get the hell away from here.

I look around at everyone who was sitting at their designated tables, with their specific friends. How truly idiotic everyone is when it comes to school, and everything about the system.

"Dana," Amber grabs my attention. "I was wondering if you wanted to come hang out with me and Trey after school?" She asks. "When you're done helping Mrs. Taylor, of course."

I cringe when I hear Mrs. Taylor. I hate hearing everyone call her that, because I sure as hell don't call her that and it makes it even weirder when the fact is, I slept with her. The other reason for it being weird, is the fact that she's married and lied about it that night.

Which I have yet to figure out.

"Um," I started. "I'll see if I can."

She nods. "Yeah, ask your mom or dad. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't care."

I slowly nod as I look down at the table for a moment. "Yeah." I say.

"Speaking of your mom and dad, when are we ever going to meet them?" Trey asks. I look up at him as he was staring at me. "I mean, we never met them and we've been friends for years. Why?"

I shrug. "I just don't like introducing them to anyone."

Trey stares at me as if he was trying to figure me out. "Or is it because they're embarrassing?" He questions.

I nod. "Yeah, that's it." I lied.

He chuckles. "Girl, don't even worry because you already met mine."

I slightly smile as I watch them both for a moment. I felt the guilt start at me again, and as much as I hated lying to them, I knew that telling the truth would be a lot worse.

-

I lean my head back and groan. Boredom was eating me alive and I couldn't take it anymore. I was slowly starting to go insane and I wasn't sure on how much longer I would last.

"I'm bored." I groan.

I heard a few papers, then Julia's voice. "Don't start." I heard her say as I lean my head up to look at her. She was sitting at her desk, doing her work, and I was sitting in this shitty desk with nothing to do.

"I'm bored." I say again as I watch her look over at me.

She stares at me for a moment. "I heard you, and what do you want me to do about it?" She asks.

I challenged her. "I mean, you did assign this punishment, but yet, I see no reason for it. So, I'm just wondering why I'm still here if I'm not doing anything."

She continues to stare at me. "Have you finished your homework?" She asks.

I nod. "Yes."

She sighs. "Well," She looks around her desk for a moment until she pulls out a piece of paper. "Here," She holds it out for me until she caught my eye. "draw something."

I stared at her. "Are you serious?" I ask. "This is bullshit. Why am I still here? This makes no sense."

"What doesn't?" She asks as she's staring at me.

"Being here with you. I mean, this isn't even a punishment yet I'm here. Plus, I didn't think you wanted to even be around me at all." I stare at her.

She must have picked up what I was saying, because she quickly shuffled the papers out in front of her. "I don't but.. you're my student so there's really no way out."

I caught onto something, so I tested it out. "Ok, but this punishment?" I questioned. "What's the purpose?"

She looks over at me. "Because you harmed-"

"No," I interrupted. "forget about Robert for a minute. I'm talking about me and you." I stare at her for a moment. "If you didn't want to be around me, then you could of punished me in a different manner."

She looks at me. "Like what?"

I shrug. "O.S.S." I stated. "Or having me deal with a stupid strict teacher instead of having me here with you, in the same room, for a week. Does that make any sense?" I ask.

She shrugs. "Look, I'm the principal, and I have the say to whatever punishment I want you to have. If I have given you Out of School Suspension, then that would kill your school work and I would hate to see you, a straight A student, fall behind."

I stare at her for a moment. "Ok, but that's the reason for them to send me work from school so I wouldn't fall behind." I stated.

She shrugs. "Nonetheless, I wasn't going to do that."

I watch as she begins looking through the papers again, and I decided to change the subject. I look around for a moment until my eyes caught the picture frame that was located on her desk in front of her.

I knew that I wanted to know about her wife a little more, because I had questions about that night, but I also didn't want to know because it was going to be a strange topic for us to speak about.

Plus, I didn't really care about it.

"Um, Julia?" I ask. "I mean- Mrs. Taylor." I watch as she looks over at me. "Can you tell me about your wife?"

She looks at me for a moment until she looks over at the picture frame. I watch as her eyes slowly find mine again. "Why?" She asks.

I shrug. "I just wanted to know about her."

She stared at me for a moment, as if trying to think of what I was hinting at, or what exactly the reason was for me to bring that subject up. She looks over at the picture frame for the longest time, until she let out of breath that she was holding. "We've been married for five years." She said as her eyes were still focused on the picture frame.

"What's her name?" I ask.

Julia looks back at me. "Diane."

"Oh." If this conversation could get any more weird than it already is, I highly doubt that's possible. The air in this room is nothing but awkwardness, and I knew she felt it to by the way she was avoiding eye contact.

After a few awkward seconds, Julia finally spoke. "Ok, I think it's time to go." She grabs a few papers from her desk then places them in her bag that was sitting on the floor next to her. She stood up and made eye contact with me. "Come on."

I realized that I was still sitting there watching her. I grab my backback then place my book inside of it, along with everything else that I took out. I stood up and walk with her to the door and watch as she locks it then turns around and we both walk out of the office.

I got use to seeing this school empty after school ended. It was a little weird to see how empty it was after everyone leaves, but now that I've been here for a few days after school, it seems a little weird.

Although I had detention before, but other students were still here.

We stop at her car and I watch as she was placing her bag inside the driver seat. She turns towards me. "See you tomorrow."

I nod then walk over to my motorcycle. I made sure my strap was tight from my backpack, then I got on and stuck the key in the ignition. I look over towards Julia's car and notice that she has been staring at me, but as soon as I looked over, she turned her head. I watch as she left the parking lot, then I started my bike and drove off.

-

My uncle was starting his shit, and I couldn't take it anymore. I walk out of the house and into the garage. I grab my keys then walk over to my motorcylce as I heard the door from the house shut.

"Dana!" Johnny screamed my name, clearly loud enough to where all the neighbors could hear, but I'm pretty sure that they all heard enough screaming from this house.

I turn around to face him. "What?"

He stands a few feet away from me as he was looking me over. "Where are you going?" He crosses his arms, and I picked up his body language up pretty fast. When he crosses his arms, that means he's trying to appear intimidating.

"Since when do you care where I go? How long have I been leaving and you didn't care?" I question. "Why the sudden change?"

He continues to stare at me. "Dana, I'm not going to tell you again, but I do care about you. If I didn't, do you think I would of left you with your parents? Or wouldn't have let you stayed here? I care!" He yelled. "Don't even say I don't, ever again."

I nod. "Yeah, you're the most caring uncle in the world, Johnny. You really are full of shit, you know?" I get onto my motorcycle.

"I'm tired of your shit, Dana!" He yells.

I look over at him. "My shit? What the fuck do you do? You go out and get fucked up! I don't do that shit! At least I take care of myself, rather than you!"

He walks over and quickly grabs the keys from the ignition. "You're not leaving!"

I quickly get off the bike and step up to him. "Give me my keys." I said calmly as I held my hand out.

He stares at me until I see a smile form on his face. "Who paid for this?" He asks. "Who took you, with their money, and bought this? Me!" He scans my eyes. "I have the right to take it away from you. You're under eighteen."

I watch as he turns around and starts walking away. I start panicking because there's no way in hell that he can take those keys from me. I have no other way to leave, and I can't stay here.

I have to think fast.

I quickly look around and see a board laying against the wall. If I hit him with it, it'll hurt him enough to where I can leave, even if it's my only way to get the keys and leave. I quickly run over and grab the board then run to him and hit him in the back. He yelled, then stumbled over until he fell to the ground. I stared at him as he was cursing and trying to move.

That hurt him enough to where I can escape.

I grab the keys then run to the bike and got on. I hear him yelling but I quickly start the bike then speed out of the garage and onto the road. I feel my heart pounding as I was driving, and I knew I was in some serious shit when I get back home.

If I even do go back.

I had to do something because this was my only way to escape, and he doesn't understand that I can't stay in that house without going completely crazy. I quickly park the bike in the alley and get off. I need some stress relief and I'm not sure if fighting is going to help me tonight.

I need to see if Tommy or Damion is up for some one night stands, because I need something right now.

-

After the fight was over, Tommy walked out with me and I watch as he was counting his money. I shook my head at how good he's getting at this shit, and it makes me mad because I'm trying to be just as good as he is, but I suck and can never win.

I only lose.

He smelled the money then smiled. "I love money, so fucking much."

I roll my eyes as we were walking to my bike. "Yeah, must be nice." I say as we came to a stop next to it.

"Someone jealous?" Tommy mocked. "Here," He hands me a few bills. "Take some money."

I swatted his hand away. "I don't want your money. I want to win for once."

He chuckles. "You will, eventually."

I shook my head as I stared down at my bike, then back at him. "Hey, I was going to ask you something." He stares at me as I continue. "Want to go find some hook ups?"

He stares at me for a moment. "You're in that mood, huh?" I nod as he shakes his head. "I wish you would stop, D. It's not good, and you're going to get into some serious trouble."

I chuckle. "Like what?"

He shrugs. "Like getting hurt, or ending up with a serial killer." I laugh as I stare at him for a moment. He crosses his arms. "I'm being serious. When are you going to actually get into a real relationship?"

I stop laughing then stare at him. "Never." I watch as he has that face, and I shake my head. "Dude, I can't be in a relationship."

"Why not?" He asks.

I sigh. "Because it scares me, ok? I hate the thought of.." I trailed off as I wasn't sure on where I was going with that.

"You're afraid of falling in love."

I look over at him as he's smiling. I shake my head. "No."

"Yes," He chuckles. "you always told me that love freaks you out, and if that's not the reason then what?"

I groan. "Ugh, just shut up."

He chuckles then swings his arm around my shoulder and pulls me towards him. "It's ok." He kisses my temple and I push him back. "See?" He questions.

"I see nothing." I say as I ignore him. "So, are you in or not?"

He stares at me for a moment. "If you're going, then I'm down. I have to keep an eye out anyways."

I roll my eyes as I hop on my bike and watch as he was walking towards his truck. I start the engine and drive over towards him as he was getting into his truck. I wait for him to start the engine, then he rolls down his window. "Where are we going?"

"Just follow me." I said as I drove to the end of the parking lot, then waited for him to get behind me before getting onto the road and speeding off.

There are several places that I go when I hook up with random people. But, tonight I decided to go back to that bar that I was at a few days ago and see what I can find in there.

Yes, that same one I met Julia at.

I shuddered just thinking about it. I mean, what are the fucking odds of that happening? Like, is that only suppose to happen in movies or books? I can't believe that I slept with my principal, who I didn't know was at the time until the very next day.

Crazy shit.

I park my bike then got off as I wait for Tommy to park and walk over to me. We walk in together and Tommy leans towards me. "This is a hotel and bar, right?" I nod as he looks around then back at me. "I've been here."

"When?" I ask. "I never see you here."

He chuckles. "How often do you come here?"

I shrug. "Maybe twice a week."

He nods. "I don't come very often, so I probably come when you're not here."

I nod as well as soon as we walk into the bar area. I look around and see a good amount of people here, but most of them are with some other people. I look towards Tommy as he was looking around too, and I chuckle as I walk over to a table. He proceeds to sit with me, but I quickly deny his access.

"What?" He asks.

I look up at him. "You're not sitting with me."

He puts his hands on his hips. "Why not?"

I chuckle. "Because if someone sees us together, then they're going to think we're together and I won't have a chance."

He stares at me for a moment. "Whatever." He ruffles my hair. "Be careful." He says as he walks away.

I shake my head as my eyes scan the place for a moment, but I can't seem to find anyone that catches my eyes. I continue to look around, but there wasn't anyone who I was interested in.

Great.

I lean back in my chair and wait until the seconds turn into minutes, and minutes turn into more minutes. I'm sitting here in boredom and I'm becoming impatient. I continue to scan my eyes around the room, but nobody is peaking my interest.

That was until someone came through the doors, and I instantly kept my eyes on them as they were walking over to the bar. I stared her down as she took a seat, and I could not believe my eyes.

Julia Taylor.

I continue to stare at her as I thought I was imagining what I saw in front of me, but sure enough, it was real. I was dumbfounded and I couldn't understand why she was here, again.

I got up and made my way towards her, and it felt as though I was experiencing deja vu as I took two seats away from her. I look over at her as her head was turned the other way, and I knew that something was about to happen the minute she turned around and saw me.

When her head turns towards me, I saw something in her eyes that I knew something was about to come. "Dana?" She asks as she was staring at me. I look her over for a brief moment until my eyes caught hers. "What are you doing here?" She asks.

I shrug. "Um, just hanging out." I lied.

She caught that. "On a school night?" I nod as she was staring at me. "How did you even get in here? You're underage."

I chuckle. "Are you really going to ask me questions?"

"As an authority figure, yes." She looked over at the bartender as he handed her a drink. I watch as she took a sip of it, and if I was mistaken, that was the same drink from the other day.

"Martini's?" I ask. "That's your favorite drink?"

She looks over at me. "That's none of your business."

I roll my eyes. "I just wanted to know-"

"No," She interrupted. "nothing I do is any of your business, got it?" She took another sip. "But, I will be associating with your parents."

I stare at her for a moment. "What?" She turns her attention towards me as I continue to stare at her. "You won't do shit, got it?" I mocked. "Nothing I do is any of your business either, Mrs. Taylor."

Her eyes held something else as she stared at me. She turns her head away from me. I roll my eyes as I think I've had enough of this woman. I make my way back to my table, but soon came to a stop when I see another woman sitting at a table all alone.

I smile as I approach her. "Hi." I say as she looks up at me. "I'm Kylie." I held my hand out as she shakes it. "What's yours?" I ask as I took a seat.

"Miranda." She slightly smiles.

I nod. "Cute name." I look at the emtpy glass out in front of her. "Do you want to get out of here?" I ask as I look back at her eyes.

She stares at me for a moment until she smiles. "Sure."

Damn, too easy.

We both stand up then make our way over to the doors, but I soon caught sight of Julia watching me as I disappeared through the doors with this woman on my arm.

-

"Call me." Miranda winked as I watch her walk out of the door.

I sigh as I threw the paper away that she gave me, then made my way back into the bar to find Tommy. I scan the room as I stepped inside, but instantly stop when I see Julia still sitting at the bar. I walk over to her then sit down as her head was hanging down.

"Julia?" I ask.

She leans her head up then stares at me. "Oh, it's just you." She leans her head back down. "Did you have a nice time with that woman?"

I stared at her as I forgot that she saw me walk out with that woman. "Uh, is that any of your business?" I ask.

She looks up at me as her eyes were half shut. "I think so, yeah."

I half laugh. "Since when? When is anything I do, your business?" I ask.

She shrugs. "I don't know. Probably when I became your principal." She looks at me. "And you, my student." She smiles as her eyes shut.

I look over at the bar in front of her. "How many did you drink?" I ask her.

She chuckles. "Enough to numb everything."

I shake my head at how stupid she was. I never knew a grown ass woman could be so damn stupid, but I'm in the presence of one at
