Charles and I sat at a table in Flame Broiler quietly. I kept peeking up from my food to his face and back. Eventually he caught on and raised an eyebrow at me.

"What?" He said, before taking another bite of his food.

"Nothing, this is just, different."

"What are you talking about, we've gotten lunch plenty of times."

I shake my head, "Not off the Forum grounds a couple hours before a show. You hate doing that."

"Just wanted a change of scenery, that's all." He says, stuffing food in his mouth, his eyes narrowing a bit.

"Okay, if you say so." I roll my eyes to myself, popping a piece of chicken in my mouth.

"So, you and Harry seem to have hit it off."

I'm caught off guard by his statement, coughing as my chicken goes down the wrong pipe, taking a sip from my soda and clearing my throat.

"I mean, he's nice. Easy to work for, understands my schedules. So yeah, I guess we have."

I watch as Charles avoids my gaze and nods, taking another bite of his food.

"Charlie."

"Mags."

"What's really on your mind?" I stare at him, waiting for an answer.

"Nothing, I really just wanted a change of scenery. I'm happy Harry is a good artist, and that you are getting along. I don't want anyone making your job harder is all."

I raise my eyebrow at him as I sip more of my soda, finally answering, "Okay, if you say so."

We get back to the Forum just in time to start the final countdown to Harry getting on stage. I feel stressed because my stopwatch accidentally stopped when I was out with Charles and I'm trying not to panic.

Anita finds me in the hall sitting on the floor going over my notes for the night before.

"Maggie!!! He is so nice. Oh my gosh thank you so much."

I hold my finger up to her, and she knows I'm not being rude. She knows the finger means I'm stressed and something is going wrong.

She finished her walk over to me sitting down next to me, "What's the problem and how can I help fix it?"

I take a deep breath and whisper, "My stopwatch stopped while I left with Charlie and so I don't know where I should be right now."

"Well, Harry's wardrobe literally just wrapped, and I tried to sync my stopwatch to when you normally start yours, and we are at seven hours, fifty minutes and twenty six seconds and counting. So we are," she leaned over to look at my binder, "five minutes ahead of yesterday, and it's probably because the sound check ended five early."

I turned to smile big at Anita, and made a mental note to tell Charles she needed a raise, "You are a lifesaver. Please keep it going and text me at the end of the night, when it hits nine hours and thirty okay?"

"Got it boss!"

I laughed and shook my head, "I told you, don't call me that."

"But you are like the boss lady around her aren't you?" We both turn to see Harry walking down the hall towards us.

"Maggie I see you've met my new friend, Anita." He smiles winking at me, as she turns to me with her big blue eyes all wide.

I can't help but laugh at how cute she looks at the fact that he just referred to her as a friend and I look at Harry, with a pleased look on his smug face. I can't help but roll my eyes at him and shake my head.

"You know, if you keep rolling your eyes at me, they will get stuck like that." He says to me with a smirk, and I bite my lip to try and stop the blush that wants to spread on my face.

"Don't you have a box they need to stuff you in or something?" I shoot back, raising an eyebrow at him.

"I actually do. Bye Maggie." He waves at me as he walks away, and I take a deep breath.

"Oh my gosh." Anita says, still looking at me with wide eyes.

"Yes I know Nita, he called you his friend."

"No not that, I mean, yes that, but he's soooo flirting with you."

"Anita, sweetie, I work for him. I bring him snacks, food, he has to be nice to me. I have to be nice to him. Makes everything go smoother."

"Mags, hun, I know Charles was your only experience for like three years, and he sucks at flirting, like everyone here knows that, but, Harry Styles, was flirting with you."

I open my eyes wide at her looking around the hall, "Anita. Too loud. Not the appropriate setting. I work for him. That's it. And leave Charles alone. Now get up and go, go fix something!"

She rolled her eyes at me, getting up, "Just know, at some point during this residency, I'm going to say I told you so. And you are going to take me to dinner and drinks as repayment."

"Okay Anita, it's a deal." I say shaking my head at her, knowing she is completely insane.

Harry Styles, flirting with me, yeah right.
