edit; PART TWO IS NOW LIVE!

I stood against the backstage opening watching Billie in the middle of her last song. I loved the feel of the crowd, her energy, the energy filling the room. I took a deep breath and peeked down at the stop watch I had running in my navy iPhone. It was time to start heading backstage and making sure everything was ready for when she got there.

I loved my job. I had been a production assistant to now a lead production manager at the forum for what felt like years now. I loved the people I worked with and the artists I got to meet. It was always something new, different, exciting and challenging working here.

As I made my way into the back, I heard lots of "hey Maggie" and I smiled and said my hellos. I loved my team, and wouldn't trade them for the world.

"Hey Maggie!" I looked up and saw my partner in crime Roger walking past me.

I turned walking backwards, yelling out to him, "The flowers for Billie, I need them in her room, we have about one minute until thank yous start."

"Already in there Mags!"

"Thank you!" I smiled, turned back around and walked to a hall closet. I pulled out a cart and two baskets, grabbing the last of the vegan snacks we bought for Billie and a couple of cold waters out of the mini fridge. I rolled it back to Billie's dressing room. I set out a couple snacks and waters for when she got back, then loaded everything else into the two baskets for her and Finneas to take, if not the snacks would just go to waste.

I heard a knock on the door and yelled for them to come in. Mike the production runner walked in.

"Hey Maggie, Charles wants to talk to you about the residency starting in two weeks, I can't remember who's on the calendar."

"I think it's that One Direction guy, umm, Harry Styles." I said nonchalantly, tying a bow on both baskets

"Maggie, you did not just refer to him as that One Direction guy?"

I looked over my shoulder at him and rolled my eyes, "Well that's how I know him. My little sister has been in love with him since his One Direction days, so shoot me. I already have her hounding me for tickets since the moment they went on sale."

I turned leaning on the counter and Mike shook his head at me.

"Well Charles wants to talk now, so have Anita handle the farewells okay?"

I nodded and pulled my phone out of my back pocket texting Anita my assistant.

Hey! Need you to handle farewells please, T-minus 45secs. Sorry for last minute.

I cleaned up some scraps and rolled the cart out of the room, at some point handing it off to another PA as I made my way to Charles office. Charles, my boss used to have my job before he got promoted.

Charles and I also used to date, and though we had broken up about a year ago, the tension was always there.

I knocked on the door and Charles called me in, there was a head for every team there and then a man I didn't recognize.

"Ahh, there she is! Come here Maggie, this is Jeff, Harry Styles' manager."

As I began walking over, Charles kept talking, "This is Margarita Santiago, we just call her Maggie, the Forum backstage would not run the way it does without her."

"He's only saying that because he taught me everything I know." I said extending my hand out to Jeff.

Charles wasn't lying, but neither was I. He taught me everything I knew about running the backstage correctly and artists consistently stated that they loved performing here for that reason.

Yet, I also knew that I was really good at my job, because if I wasn't, everyone would say I got promoted based on favoritism. Charles didn't even interview anyone after his promotion, I was just moved up instantly.

"Nice to meet you Jeff." I said as he took my hand and shook it.

"Nice to meet you Maggie, I promise you, Harry is very simple, super relaxed, he's not a lot of work." Jeff said smiling at me.

"I look forward to working with him."

"Maggie will be sending you a giant email, with lots of documentation to make sure his month-long stay here is up to par with your expectations and his as well. You will also have direct contact with her and I about anything, so never hesitate to shoot us a text, email or call. Anything else Maggie?"

I shook my head smiling at Jeff, "Nope, I just need to know his needs so I can meet them. I promise his residency here will run smoothly."

"Well then perfect you two! I'll make sure we tackle that email once it's sent. Charles, thank you for letting me meet everyone and we will see you in two weeks."

Jeff said his goodbyes to Charles and I, making his way around the room. I turned to start making my way out and Charles caught my arm, "Can you hand back a few?"

I nodded and leaned up against the wall watching the room clear out.

"What's up Charles?"

"We need to make sure the team is ready for the fans. The way his stage is set up leaves possibilities of fans sneaking in."

I raised an eyebrow, knowing well enough that wasn't exactly my job, "Got it, I'll make sure to prep security on that, anything else?"

"You look nice today." He smiled softly at me.

"Thank you Charles." I bit my lip, trying not to laugh at the fact I was wearing the same thing I wore everyday, a black Zara Bodysuit, black cargo pants and my combat boots.

"Umm, I think that's it."

I nodded and pushed myself off the wall, "Okay, have a good night Charles."

I walked out and felt bad. I knew how badly he wanted us back together, but it just didn't work for him and I. We were too different. We didn't flow like we used to and that was okay. For me at least, but I knew he would get there eventually.

As the next two weeks carried on, we began transforming the Forum into a Harry Styles Love on Tour paradise, there were photo opportunities, merch stands in different locations and the signature drinks we selected were one Cherry and one Watermelon based.

I wasn't a Harry Styles fan by any means, only knowing his music because of my younger sister, but the excitement leading up to him being here made me excited. I was bringing my sister with me on opening night and I had managed to get her in the pit though Charles said I couldn't bring her backstage.

She called him a loser for that reason and I quickly reminded her that  she was lucky to have gotten tickets to which she told me I should sleep with him one last time to thank him.

My sister ladies and gentlemen, a true icon.
