I pace back and forth, the square box in my pocket feeling like a fucking bomb. Lexi's in the shower, singing and washing her body after her run on the beach. I glance at my watch again and notice she only has about fifteen minutes to get ready for the appointment I had her at the massage parlor.

It's our last night of at the resort in St. Lucia. This week has flown by between laying on the beach, getting tangled up in the sheets, and drinking our way through the pool bar. Today, we tried four different cocktails at the swim up bar at our resort then stumbled down to our cabana on the beach. Making out with Lexi while the waves crashed on the shore has been permanently burned into my brain and filed under 'best memories'. But tonight will be the best memory of them all.

If only she'd get out of the shower and out of our room.

I walk over to the bathroom and knock on the door. "Baby are you almost done?" I yell, hoping she can hear me over her music. She ignores me and continues to sing along to Taylor Swift's Love Story. If she only knew her love story would end with Romeo proposing tonight too.

I open the door and walk in while she rubs the shampoo out of her hair. I stop and stare because well I'm a guy and my girl is naked. Between her singing and the steam of the shower, she's managed to fog up the mirror. I continue to stare until she catches me out of the corner of her eye and screams.

"What are you doing? I am having me time!" she shrieks, pointing at me, accusing me of ruining her mojo.

I continue to stare as her breasts jiggle with each movement as she yells at me. "Baby I'll watch you scream at me all the time if this is the view."

She shakes her head and turns around, giving me the perfect view of her ass and showing off her new tan lines. "Yep, still a great view. Face it, you're hot as fuck."

She shuts off the shower and steps out onto the plush gray mat. She wrings out her hair over the tub and looks at me quizzically. "Uh, can you hand me that towel please?" she asks, motioning to the white towel hanging up next to me.

"Do I have to?" I ask her breasts. She rolls her eyes and points to the towel. I grab it and wrap her in it, slowly drying her shoulders, chest, and arms then slide it down her body, drying her stomach, ass, and legs. Next thing I know I'm on my knees in front of her, my dick pressing behind the zipper of my khakis and before I know what I'm doing, I place a kiss above her clit.

"Mason." she hisses, her voice tight.

I leave a trail of kisses down her pussy then bury my face in between her thighs. I lick and suck my way until she's weak in the knees and grabbing the wall for support. With every 'oh fuck' and 'my god' I keep going, starting slowly then increasing the pace. She starts grinding against my face, taking what she needs before I take her to the edge and she comes undone, riding out her orgasm while I lick her lightly and grab the back of her legs to keep her steady.

"You're too good to me." she pants, trying to catch her breath. "I love you so damn much."

I kiss her pussy one more time before standing up, towering over her. "You look too good to pass up. But seriously you need to get ready for the massage. I laid out a pair of shorts and tank top for you. I'll meet you afterwards for dinner, okay?"

She nods and moves into our bedroom, grabbing the clothes off the bed. She gathers her hair and begins crossing it over and under until a messy braid appears. "What are you doing again while I'm there?"

Of all days for her to be nosy, she picks this one. "I'm going golfing remember? Just nine holes while you relax."

"Okay, have fun. I'm leaving." she says, throwing on a pair of flipflops and kisses me. "Thanks for the orgasms."

I watch her walk out and wait ten minutes to make sure she isn't coming back for anything. Then I grab the candles, lights, and flowers and make my way down to the beach.

After a relaxing afternoon of being pampered, I feel more relaxed (and moisturized) than I ever have in my life. I had a nice, long Swedish massage followed up a cucumber facial and a manicure and pedicure. Mason really outdid himself with the part of the itinerary and one that I will never say no to.

I head back to our room, humming a Taylor Swift song, when I noticed his golf clubs are still sitting in the same position next to our door. That's odd. I'm pretty sure he said he was going to play unless I'm losing my mind. I slide my key into the door, unlocking it then heading in. Everything is in the exact same place it was when I left. What the hell is going on?

"Mason?" I call out, peering around the bathroom and small living room. Where did he go? I walk into the bedroom thinking maybe he laid down for a nap but instead I find a white strapless sundress, nude heels, and jewelry on top of the comforter.

Oh my god. It's happening.

I take a few deep breaths, willing myself to hold back the happy tears when I spot a note on the dresser. Lexi  is written in his sloppy handwriting.

"Get dressed and meet me down by the beach. Love, Mason"

My hands shake reading the letter, excitement and nerves flowing through me. I change out of my clothes and into the dress, zipping it up the side and taking a look in the mirror. It hits me mid thigh, just enough to be considered decent and I pull my hair out of the bun. My dark waves flow out around me and thankfully can be tamed pretty easily with some styling gel. I slip on the heels and fight the urge to call my mom and sisters.

Be present in this moment Lexi, I chant to myself.

I open the door and start toward the beach, taking in the sun beginning to set over the water. This man thinks of everything I swear. A hotel employee sees me, smiles and helps direct me to where I'm going. I come to the sidewalk that leads straight out to the beach when I spot Mason, standing at the end, wearing khakis and a white button down shirt. Red roses petals lay on the sidewalk that lead directly to the massive overlook that has been decorated in white lights. Pictures of us hang on the beam of the overlook and tea light candles are lit in the shape of a heart.

My knees feel weak while my heart pounds in my chest. This is it. This is the moment every girl dreams of her whole life. You know, the one after you get your career figured out.

I start walking towards him, praying my legs don't give out from underneath me. He's smiling and offers me his hand as I walk closer. I come to a stop in front of him and let out a shaky breath.

"You look stunning." he says, taking both of my hands in his.

The tears start welling up already. I'm such a freaking mess. "I'm nervous." I admit.

He laughs, easing some of my nerves. "You? I'm the one asking!"

I nod, agreeing with him but also because I'm speechless and have no idea what to say.

"Alexis." he starts, his own voice filled with emotion. "You make my life so much better in everyway. Before you, I didn't know what true love was. What it was like to want to tell someone every little detail about your day. How it felt to come home to someone or to miss someone."

Shit here come the tears already.

"The moment I saw you, I knew you were different. I have no idea why you decided to give a guy like me a chance but I'm so damn happy you did. I'm going to love you for the rest of our lives. I'm going to watch you become a mom to our beautiful children, a badass vice president of a music label, but most importantly become a better person everyday. You are my soulmate, the love of my life, and my person. I can't imagine not being with you."

The tears are flowing down my cheeks so hard I can barely see him. I take another deep breath and squeeze his hands.

He drops down to one knee and pulls out a little black box. He opens it and a massive diamond blinds me. It has to be almost three carats.

"Alexis Rose Olson, will you do me the biggest honor by marrying me?" he asks, staring lovingly into my eyes.

"HELL YEAH!" I scream, bending down to kiss him. He kisses me back then stands up and takes the ring out of the box. He slides it onto my left finger and I throw my arms around his neck, pulling him for another kiss when I hear cheering from the hotel deck. I turn around and see my parents, sisters, and his mom and stepdad.

"Oh my god you guys are here?" I yell, taken back that they witnessed our proposal. I turn to look at Mason, who's grinning, and waving at them.

"All of the people we love most, right?" Mason asks, smiling.

"I'm going to marry the hell out of you." I say squeezing his hand.

He pulls my hand up and kisses it, my own real-life Romeo. "Forever baby. It's us forever."

*Author's note: I've had this proposal written for weeks because I got so excited for them. This is the end of Mason and Lexi's story and I can't believe it's over. I'll probably go back and make edits at some point, but I hope you loved their journey (and growth!) as much as I did.

There will be bonus chapters after this that show the wedding day, baby number one, baby number 2 (& 3?), and the ice cube scene, so we still have a little bit of them left <3
