"Flight 477 Los Angeles to Miami boarding now." the loud speaker behind us says.

"That's me." I say, throwing my romance novel into my carryon bag. Mason stands up and hugs me, and my heart sinks a little. It feels like his season just ended and all we've done is spend more time traveling and handling other commitments instead of curling up on the couch to watch a movie.

"I love you." he says, leaning down to kiss me. It starts off sweet and slow and then because he has no self-control or awareness that we are in public, he slips his tongue into my mouth.

"Mason, we are in public." I scold against his lips. I guess I have to be the responsible one. I put my hands on his hips and pushes him away.

"You love it baby. Have a good time. Call me if you're a little drunk and horny." He says, winking at me then smirk when my mouth falls open.

"I love you too, goodbye." I say hastily, and silently curse him for making me horny and not doing anything about it.

I wave to him before I head down the tunnel and step onto the plane. I walk towards the middle of the plane and sit in the emergency exit seat because you never know when you'll need to get out. Personally, I hate planes and I hate flying. I have to chew gum, so my ears don't click off and I grip the seats until we're in the air. I picked a direct flight for this very reason but being stuck on this plane for the next five and half hours is going to test my anxiety big time.

Once we're in the air and I've discarded my gum, I swipe through the itinerary Kaylee's sister sent us. The first page has a list of all the girls, their relation to the bride, and their phone number. Lilly and Lauren are co-maid of honors and Kaylee's sisters, Serena, Olivia, and Charlotte are Noah's sisters, and then there's me and Gia, 'Bride's BFFS'. Yeah I wish that was a joke but that's what is printed on the paper. The next page has when each girl will arrive and it looks like I'm last. Once I get there we're headed to dinner and some club named Girls Gone Wild.

Tomorrow, we're going to brunch, hanging out at the beach, then getting pampered at Dry Bar where we're getting our hair and makeup done before going to dinner and another club. Sunday is another brunch and checkout. What a jam packed weekend. I'm excited to see Gia and meet the other girls before the day of the wedding considering it's in three short weeks.

I finally arrive to the Miami airport, gather my luggage, and get into my uber. Fifteen minutes later, my uber pulls up to the most luxurious hotel I've ever seen. Fontainebleau Miami Beach is written in loopy letters on the side of the skyscraper of a resort. I grab my bags and head in to check in. The front desk girl can't be more than college aged and she tells me how we have the nicest suite and offers some places to eat and clubs for us to enjoy. I smile, thank her, and head for the elevator. We're on the 18th floor and the views are incredible when I step off. There's only four suites on the entire floor and ours overlooks the beach.

I open the door and am greeted with a bunch of squealing. "You're here!" a bubbly and already drunk Kaylee shrieks, wrapping me in a fierce hug. "I missed you!"

"I missed you too. Hi everyone!" I smile, waving. We exchange names and numbers and then before I know it, we're changing into clothes for dinner and the club. I rummage through my suitcase deciding between a dark pink two-piece outfit or a black mini dress. I put a hand on my stomach, wondering why I'm still bloated when it hits me. Wait, wasn't my period suppose to be here by now? I grab my phone and check my app. Yep, it should've been here last Sunday. I check my pills and see I'm over halfway through my sugar pills. Shit. I'm six days late.

I attempt to keep myself calm and not freak the fuck out that I am late. I'm on the pill and I'm late. The realization of what this means is enough to send me barreling for the bathroom to throw up. I push past Lauren or maybe it's Lilly, I'm not sure, and hurl.

"Oh my god are you okay?" Lauren or Lilly asks. Her face is filled with disgust and if I had to hear someone vomit next to me, I'd probably feel the same way.

I nod and wipe my mouth with a towel. "I think I hate something bad on the plane. Can you get Gia, please?"

She nods and pretty much runs away. Poor girl, I think she's Lilly the younger one. Gia comes into the bathroom, her hair half up in a bun, half down in bouncy curls. She looks concerned for me as I sit on the edge of the toilet.

"What's wrong?"

I look up at her, my own voice shaky to my ears. "I think I'm pregnant."

She gasps. "WHAT?"

"Keep your voice down." I whisper-yell. "I don't want anyone to know."

She holds up her hand, signaling me to give her a minute while she thinks about what to do. "Okay are you on the pill?"

"Yes but we stopped using condoms months ago. And I might have missed a pill or two this month and had to double up." I say weakly. I was busy and sometimes forgot at night so I doubled up on pills a few times but I didn't think anything of it.

"Oh no. Okay let's take a deep breath. Maybe you're not. You've been under a lot of stress with you and Mason, the job offer, finding a house, you know all of it. How late are you?" she asks, grabbing a washcloth and wetting it. She wrings it out then places it on the back of my neck to cool me down.

"Six days." I groan. I've never ever been this late on the pill.

"Has your weight changed?"

I look up at her, slightly alarmed. "I mean yeah I'm eating more. Why? Do I look fat?"

She shakes her head quickly. "Not at all. You look healthier. I used to be so worried you weren't eating enough. That could be it too. Do you want to take a pregnancy test to be sure?"

"Not here." I say quietly. "I don't want to ruin Kaylee's party and I don't think I want to know yet. I'll take one as soon as I get home."

She stares at me for a beat longer that I'd like. "So.... how are you going to drink?"

"Shit." I close my eyes and lean back. "Didn't even think about it."

"Okay we'll get you water and say it's tequila or gin tonic. That's what I did when I found out I was pregnant and we didn't tell anyone until I was out of the first trimester." She reaches out her hand and I grip it like a lifeline.

"We'll get you through the weekend Lex. I got you."

I blink back tears and stand up, moving to the sink to clean my mouth out from the puke. I run a hand through my hair and head back out into the room to get ready for the club. I settle on the black mini dress and my black pumps.

After an hour of applying makeup, curling hair, taking endless amounts of pictures, and taping our breasts into place for the night, we head to the club. I offer to buy the first round, making sure I order a round of tequila and water. Kaylee starts us off with a speech then we cheer, clinking our shot glasses and throw them back. The drinks keep flowing all night and before I know it, I'm the only one left sober. I check my phone and see I have a message from Mason. They're head to a club now too and he already misses me. I smile and put my phone away, and grab Gia's hand to go dance.

Two a.m. rolls around quicker than I remember it did in college and we stumble back to our hotel, laughing and stopping every few feet for someone to take off their heels. I help Kaylee out of the elevator while Gia takes on the Walters sisters, while Noah's sisters look like they do this every weekend.

I push my key into the door slot and watch the light change from red to green. I heave it open, keeping one arm around Kaylee's waist and stumble in. She's cackling and hanging onto my shoulders but we're about the same size so we could roll over any second. I heave her into one of the twin beds, knowing none of us will want to sleep next to her when she's like this. I start to help her take off her outfit while Charlotte begins to pull the Bobbi pins out of Kaylee's updo.

"Thanks for the help." I tell her, as I unhook the white dress and slide it over her head.

"No problem. She puts up with my dumbass brother when he gets drunk. She needs someone to take care of her too."

I nod, knowing how drunk and wild Noah can get. "Are you excited for another sister in the family?"

She smiles. "Yes. I know sometimes she can seem self-absorbed but she was there for me during the worst breakup of my life. I caught the bastard in our bed with not one but two other women. I was heartbroken." she explains, stroking Kaylee's hair. "She saw him in a bar, hitting on another woman like days after I caught him. So she went up, flirted with him, then threw her drink on him and kneed him in the balls."

I laugh loudly, drawing looks from the other girls. "Yeah that sounds like Kaylee."

"Her heart is always in the right place, and she protects those she loves fiercely. What more could I ask for for my brother?" Charlotte says, getting up off the bed.

I nod, understanding what she's saying. I cover Kaylee with the comforter then head over to Gia and our bed we're sharing for the weekend.

"How are you feeling?" she asks, rubbing a makeup wipe over her face. She hands me one and all of a sudden, I feel like we're back in our college apartment, about to dissect the evening.

"I feel fine. Should I feel like a kick or something?" I ask, running the wipe over my face. I rub my eyes with it for a few minutes then move onto my cheeks.

She laughs. "No that's not for a while. Right now you should be feeling sick, breasts a little tender, and tired."

"Well my feet are killing me because I wore four-inch heels, I'm tired from dancing in a club, and I don't know if I'm sick because I'm actually pregnant or the thought of it is turning my stomach. But that's a problem for another day." I say, tossing my wipe into a trash can and crawl under the covers. I text Mason goodnight and fall asleep as soon I hit the pillow.

The next day flies by as we head to a cozy brunch spot where I opt for only orange juice, hold the vodka please, and eat my weight in chocolate chip pancakes. Then we went back to the hotel, changed into our swimsuits, black bikinis that say "Bride's Crew" in white glitter, and matching towels. We hang out at the pool party at the hotel for a few hours until Kaylee decides she wants to move this party down to the beach. As we set up on the sand, another bachelor party passes us. Their groom comes over to Kaylee and introduces himself and they both begin gushing over their fiancés.

By the time I finish reapplying sunscreen and set up to tan, Kaylee comes stumbling over, she's had a little too many White Claws, and tells us we're going to meet up with the bachelor party tonight at the club in the hotel. Because she's the bride we all agree and finish out the day on the beach. We end up ordering room service for dinner and splitting a bunch of food while taking turns using the two showers in the room. The Chicken tenders, shrimp ring, house salads, regular salads, burger sliders, and endless amounts of cheese fries stuff us for the night. Finally, we all agree we've had too much sun and need to sleep before going out tonight.

I keep touching my stomach, wondering if I'm really pregnant or not. If I am, how am I going to tell Mason?  Would he be happy or mad? Will he think I trapped him or will he see that it truly was an accident and that we should've been more careful? Will he want to keep it or want me to get rid of it? I wish I could call him and tell him but we're about a thousand miles apart and I don't want to ruin his weekend. But I'm also a terrible liar so I've resorted to only texting him good morning and goodnight. I'm awful, I know.

I change into the pink two-piece crop top and curve-hugging skirt and slip on a pair of nude pumps. I take a look at my hair in the mirror and decide with the humidity begin extremely high, I'm going to leave my waves go. I add some texture mousse to it and put on a little bit of powder, mostly to try and cover my sunburn. Gia comes in to fix her makeup and I catch her glance at my stomach.

"I will tell you if I'm pregnant, I promise." I assure her. Truth is, I don't want to think about it at all right now.

"I know. But I have a feeling you're not."

"How do you know?" I ask, trying to not get my hopes up.

"Because I was sick as a dog in the first week and my breasts hurt so bad. I think yours is stress related. Once you calm down, you'll get it."

Lord, I hope she's right.

Our group crams into the elevator and heads down to the club for another night of drinking and dancing. I'm having as much fun as I can on this trip, but I think when Mason does finally pop the question, I want to have a more laid-back bachelorette party. Possibly even combining my bridal party with Mason's groomsmen and having one big bachelor and bachelorette party. When I'm drunk and horny, I only want him. Why punish myself?

I start off the first round again, telling the bartender to only pour me water all night. He nods and throws in a few lemons and limes throughout the night so I can play it off as tequila or gin tonic. I make sure to tip him extra well throughout the night. We meet up with the bachelor party from the beach and dance around and hang out with them for most of the night. When Sunday rolled around, I was more than ready to go home. I'm sunburned, tired, and want to find out why the hell my period is refusing to show up.

After breakfast, I hug the girls goodbye and promise to text the group message when I land. I head to the airport early, grabbing a smoothie at one of the eateries and wait for my plane to board. It's a little after two p.m when I finally land at LAX. I check my phone and see a text from Mason, letting me know his plane landed an hour before mine and that he'll grab my luggage.

I start down the steps, my heart racing, vile rising in my throat and I grab the railing for assistance. I see him, his brown eyes light up and he smiles as if I'm the best thing in the world.

"Hi baby, I missed you." he says, wrapping me in a hug and kissing me.

I kiss him back, weakly and look up at him. I might as well rip it off like a Band-Aid, quick and painful.

"I think I'm pregnant."
