The trial was over, and the perpetrator was behind bars, but the aftermath of the case was just beginning. The media had gotten wind of the story and were hounding the department for details. The city was in shock and the public wanted answers.

Sergeant Brian Davis and his team were thrust into the spotlight, being hailed as heroes for solving the case. But with the attention came scrutiny and pressure to provide answers to the public.

Brian found himself doing countless interviews, trying to explain the details of the case without compromising the investigation. He was constantly being pulled in different directions, and it was taking a toll on him.

The department was also facing backlash from the families of the victims who felt that justice had not truly been served. They wanted to know why the department had not been able to catch the perpetrator sooner, and why the investigation had taken so long.

Brian knew that he and his team had done everything they could to solve the case, but he couldn't shake off the feeling of guilt for not being able to prevent the murders from happening in the first place.

The team was also struggling with the aftermath of the case. They had seen things that no one should have to see and the trauma of the investigation was starting to take a toll on them.

As the dust started to settle, Brian knew that he and his team needed to take some time to process everything that had happened. They had done their best to bring justice to the victims and their families, but the case would always stay with them.

Brian also knew that they would always be ready to take on the next case, to protect the city and bring criminals to justice. But for now, they needed some time to heal and come to terms with what they had been through.
