Xander's P.O.V. Enjoy ;)

We walk through the cafeteria doors and suddenly feel someone bump into me. I almost curse at the person, until I glance at the capturing green eyes. She's pretty small compared to my height. He hair is jet black but looks like she was drenched in liquid. What happened? I see her cheeks turn a tinge of pink before running around me.

My gaze shift toward a guy staring at me with a hard glare etched on his face. I stare back with a harder glare, his face turning from mine. That's right fucker. I watch as he turns and wraps his arm around Makenna's waist. I grimace and start heading to the line.

Makenna likes to think we are perfect for each other, but I beg to differ. She tries flirting with me and hugging me like we are an item. I don't reciprocate those feelings with her. She's a bully and she acts like it's okay when it's anything but.

I sit at my table taking one last glance at them to see Makenna stare straight at me with a smirk. I scoff at her. She is probably with him to try and make me jealous. I chuckle to myself. Yeah fucking right.

I head up to the line and grab a tray and take a seat at my usual table. I look up and see my friends coming up to the table.

"What's up, guys?" I greet and turn my attention to them as they take a seat with their tray's. They are my two best and only friends. Quality not quantity is what I think. Adam is the jokester and Tony is the usually serious and reasonable one. We have been best friends since kindergarten. We share everything with each other. No secrets, we are close like that. We've been through a lot together and always have each other's backs no matter what. But we also like to joke around, making fun of each other, because that's just what we do.

"Nothing much but I noticed you were making googly eyes at the new girl," Adam says, while wiggling his eyebrows playfully. Tony chuckles while continuing to dig into his food.

"So, what's your point?" I ask as I take a bite of my sandwich.

"She's kinda hot don't you think? I wouldn't mind hittin' that," Tony replies with a smirk on his face. I turn in his direction and scoff at him, wanting to punch him.

Adam notices my discomfort and narrows his eyes at Tony with an 'are you serious' look on his face.

Tony raises his hands in defense.

"I'm just kidding Xander, but you should have seen your face. You don't even know her and you're all angry with me," he says with a raised eyebrow.

"Yeah, whatever," I mumble waving my hand dismissively. I go to grab my phone out of my pocket.

I curse under my breath and notice it's not there. I must have left it in my car. I start to stand, and they look at me with curious glances.

"Look, I didn't mean to make you that upset Xander. It was just a joke," Tony defends. I shake my head.

"I'm just going to grab my phone. I must have left it in my car," I reply.

"Or stalk the poor girl," Adam quickly mutters under his breath. I send a glare his way before heading out of the cafeteria while shaking his head. I stroll down the hall and head out the entrance of the school. I reach my parked car, pulling out my keys before unlocking it. I take a seat in my car and start shuffling through my stuff in my car. Where did I put the damn thing? After some more searching, I finally find it under some clothes in the back. I really need to clean my car. I mean, it's not too bad though but still. I start backing out of the back and straighten myself out. Sighing in satisfaction. I turn around, noticing two people coming out of the school. I smile slightly noticing it's that girl I bumped into and also the guy that was giving me a death glare back in the cafeteria. Why is she with him?

'Dude cool it, she doesn't even know you,' I scold myself. I notice the state of her appearance and can't help but feel upset for her. She looks like she has been crying. Why was she crying? I then suddenly notice his grip on her arm, as he drags her through the parking lot. 'He better not be hurting her' I say to myself, with slightly clenches fists.

It's not that I'm jealous, it's just I don't do well with people hurting others. Especially those who are defenseless.

They suddenly stop next to a car and see his face turn into a furious expression. They are having an argument over something. Maybe they are together? But she is new here. I want to know what they are arguing about but if I get to close they might see me. If it gets out of hand, however, I'll jump in but it's really not my business still.

I just sit on the hood of my car, as if minding my own business while on my phone. After a few moments, he lets her go and walks back towards the school. My eyes stay trained on her, noticing her visibly sigh. She takes a moment, glancing around before her eyes land on me, her face forming into a panicked expression. What's got her so scared? I keep a blank face as she turns and practically rushes back into the school.

I push of my car and start an even pace back towards the school as well. I walk in noticing my friends with raises eyebrows as I meet them.

"I thought you said you weren't gonna stalk her?" Adam questions as Tony chuckles lightly beside him.

I purse my lips while shaking my head, "I wasn't stalking her. I saw her walking out with some guy, look upset, so I had to make sure she was alright," I say seriously.

"Ooor, you're just jealous," Adams say, emphasizing the word jealous.

"I'm not jealous, just concerned, like anyone,"

"Yeah, sure," He says unconvinced.

"Whatever see you after school," I say flipping them off before walking to my next class. I enter, noticing someone in my normal seat. They have their head down laying on the desk. It's doesn't bother me, so I just sit next to the person. They notice the sound of me pulling out my chair, glancing up at me. I stand stunned for a split second. It's the same girl once again. Seems like I'm seeing her everywhere now. I need to find out her name instead of that girl but before I can even ask, the teacher walks in and starts talking.

"Hello everyone! We have a new student in the class. Emilia? Would you please stand?" Mrs. Garrison says politely. She slowly stands from her seat, nervously glancing around at everyone. Emilia. The name fits perfectly for her. I notice her cheeks start to flush the cutes tinge of pink. I roll my eyes at myself.

"Anything you would like to tell us about yourself, Emilia?" Mrs. Garrisons asks.

She hesitates before answer, "I like to draw?" She states as more of a question than an answer. Mrs. Garrison seems satisfied with the answer before nodding her head.

"Be sure to make her feel at home you guys," She says looking at everyone around the room. She starts her lecture and I turn my attention to Emilia.

"You're in my seat you know?" I question her, smirking slightly. I don't really care about the seat though.

"I'm...I'm so sorry. I can move..." She says, slightly stuttering while packing her stuff as she quickly starts to stand.

I put my hand up to stop her, "Nah, it's fine. I'm Xander," I say to her.

She's hesitant before sitting down once again, "Emilia," She mutters, taking her stuff back out of her bag and looking forward again.

"Nice to meet you," I say. She doesn't reply after that. Suddenly an idea pops into my head. I quickly but silently tear a piece of paper before balling it up and tossing it over at her, trying to get her attention. She doesn't even move a muscle. Really? Didn't she see it? It's right on her desk. She seems to ignore it continuing to write down the notes.

I throw another one and it still doesn't get a reaction out of her. Damn seriously?

I through a third one and she finally looks up but before she could see me staring at her, I look up to the front. I have trouble containing the smirk on my face. She just stares at the side of my face but doesn't say anything before looking back down. Not gonna fight back? Oh well. I just leave her alone for the rest of class, not wanting her to think I'm being rude to her.

----

For what feels like an eternity, the bell finally rings and I quickly stand not even listening to the teacher talking as everyone exits the room. Emilia, just as quickly, stands and exits the room, avoiding contact with anyone in her way. Confusion rushes through me but I shrug it off, heading out of the class.

I head out of the school and meet up with my friends, "Sups guys?" I ask, pulling my keys from out of my pocket.

They look at each other before glancing at me, "How was class? I saw someone exit your class," Adam questions humorously with a smirk growing on his face.

Tony lets out a shallow laugh, "Yeah, did you find out her name?" He adds.

I narrow my eyes, "Yes," I drawl out, "He name is Emilia so stop pestering me about her. I don't even know anything about her you dip-shits," I finish with a playful glare. They shake their head before waving me off and heading towards their cars. I get into my car and start the engine, driving out of the school, more than happy to leave. I soon pull into the elementary school to pick up my little sister. I pull to the curb when I see her standing on the sidewalk while bouncing on her feet. She opens the door and takes a seat next in the front.

"Hey, how was school?" I asked Isabelle but everyone calls her Izzy for short.

She turns to me with a beaming smile on her face, "It was good! I stopped some girl from picking on another girl and now we are friends!" She says excitedly. I can't help but feel proud of her. Even at the age of 10, she can still help those in need, knowing bullying is not okay. I smile at her.

"How was school for you?" She asks as she puts her seatbelt on.

"It was good. I meet a new girl today," I say as I pull out of the school. I glance at her for a moment before turning back to the road.

She crosses her arms before sending me a playful glare, "You were nice, right?" She questions, trying to intimidate but she's just too cute for me to take her seriously.

"Yes, of course I was," I say honestly while chuckling at her cuteness.

She nods her head, "You better, or I would have to beat you up too," She says trying to contain her giggles.

The rest of the ride home was mostly silent. As we finally reach the house, we exit the car, heading towards the front door. I unlock it and enter, noticing mom isn't home yet. I sigh. She must be working late again.

I hate how she has to work so much and so late. But when dad left, he was our main source of income. I try to get a little bit of cash by doing odd jobs but it still doesn't cut most of the time. I earn the extra money for food and some other necessities. My sister is young but she understands the fact we don't have a lot of money for her to get a new princess doll or pony. I hate that she can't have some of these things but we must do what we can to survive, you know?

I stroll into the kitchen, heading for the fridge to see what we have for dinner but notice a note stuck to the fridge.

Can you please pick up the prescription for Isabelle at the drug store? She has an ear infection and I also might be late again. Sorry. Thanks, honey. -Mom

I put the note on the counter before heading back to the living room, "Hey, Izzy. I have to go and pick up your medication at the drug store. I'm gonna take you to Mrs. Harrison's house while I go across town," I say as I grab my keys from the key bowl next to the front door.

She comes from the hallway with her bookbag, "Okay," She says. We walk next door to Mrs. Harrison's house. She's an old woman and we visit her sometimes because her husband died a couple of years ago and her daughter never comes around. She watches Izzy for me sometimes when I have to go out like I have to right now, so I don't have to worry about her.

We reach the door, knocking on it and waiting for her to answer. The door soon opens revealing a kindly smile Mrs. Harrisons, "Why hello dear. Need me to watch Isabelle again?" She asks looking between the two of us.

I nod my head, "Yes ma'am, if that's alright? I have to go get some meds from the drug store for her ear infection," I say.

"That's quite alright sweetie. Come on Isabelle. I made chocolate chip cookies!" She says while ushering Izzy towards the kitchen. She squeals with excitement continuing to the kitchen.

I give her a wide smile, "Thank you again, Mrs. Harrison. Is there anything you need while I'm out?" I ask, waiting while she thinks for a moment.

She shakes her head, "No thank you hon. I'm good," She answers.

"Alright see you soon," I wave goodbye going back towards my car. I hop in, starting the car and head towards the drug store.
