-Adam's P.O.V.- Surprise! ;) Hope you enjoy

I still feel glum after Travis's sort of rejection, for lack of a better word. I know he isn't gay but I still wish I could find someone out there.

I look in the mirror, fixing my dark blonde hair to look presentable for my parent's friends. After fixing my hair I glance at my dull blue eyes and sigh in discontent. Who would like me?

I hear a knock on my door and go to open it to see my mother.

"Our guests are here," she says. She sighs before fixing the collar of my shirt and adjusting my tie. I playfully roll my eyes at her as a smile forms on her lips.

"You know, I always have to fix your tie. Just like your father. I bet your wife will be doing the same thing in the future." She chuckles. Yeah, my 'wife'.

I force a smile and trail behind my mother as she descended the stairs. I saw my father talking with his friend. I notice a guy standing behind him and almost sigh in relief knowing its not a girl this time.

"Ah, Adam, I don't think you have met my son," Harold says as he gestures to the guy. His son puts his hand out and I grasp it, as he gives it a light squeeze.

"Mathew," He says with a smile on his face. I smile back and release from his grip.

"Dinner will be ready in a little if you boys want to go do something. We are just going to be talking for a little while," My father says. I give him a nod before looking at Mathew giving him a subtle smile before heading up the stairs.

I walk to the game room and open the door, letting him walk in first. He slowly walks in and looks around the room. I take a seat on the couch as I pull out my phone.

I feel the couch dip and look up to see Mathew looking at me with a smirk. My brow furrows in confusion, wondering why he was staring at me like that.

"What?" I ask, sitting up more and scooting sort of away.

"Tell me about yourself?" He asks, tilting his head slightly. I purse my lips trying to think.

"Not much to tell. I consider myself really good at video games and I completely suck at cooking," I laugh. I hear his light chuckles and look over at him.

"Well, I would consider myself really good at video games too," He boasts. I shake my head and smile looking down at my hands.

"Don't believe me? Why don't we put it to the test then?" He says. He scoots over, reaching across my chest, grabbing the controller on the side table. I feel my cheeks heat up and feel the air become hot.

He hands me the controller a smirk on his face. What is wrong with him? I slowly take the controller and power on the PlayStation 4. I start the game and I begin setting up the match, beginning the game.

"First we have to make a beat before we start," He says. I look over with a raised eyebrow.

"W-What do you mean?" I ask shifting in my seat.

"Well how about something simple? Whoever wins the other person has to do one thing for the other person. Whatever they want. Accept the challenge?" He says with a raised eyebrow.

"You're on," I say pushing the unpause button to start.

----

"Haha! I never lose!" I say excitedly, as a smirk plays on his lip. I look over at Mathew and notice the pout etched on his face.

"Whatever," I hear him mumble under his breath as he crosses his arms. He sighs before facing me.

"What are you going to have me do?" He asks, looking at me with a blank expression.

"I don't really have anything I can think of," I say, shrugging my shoulders. I look forward, placing the controller on the table. I hear shifting beside me and turn to see Mathew moved forward.

"What are you doing?" I ask leaning back slightly. He grins at me, which forms into a smirk.

"I can give you an idea," He says leaning closer. I stay still, like a deer caught in headlights. His lips are only centimeters from mine.

"Dinner is ready boys!" I hear my mom yell. He quickly slides away and gets up from the couch, stepping out of the door.

I rush out the door, clearing my throat as I head down the stairs. I step into the dining room to see my father and Mathews father at the ends of the table. I notice the only vacant seat is next to Mathew and I slowly step over and take a seat.

"Took you long enough," My father chuckled. I nod, muttering an apology as everyone starts to eat their food. I continue to eat my food until I jump slightly when I feel something brush against my leg.

My mother gives me a confused look and I smile at her in reassurance that everything is fine. I look over at Mathew and see him trying to contain the smirk that is playing on his lips. I glare at the side of his head making his smirk grow. I subtly roll my eyes and continue to eat my food.

----

Once dinner was done and cleaned up, me and Mathew retreat back to the game room. I open the door and Mathew goes in first me following behind him. I enter, shutting the door slowly before turning around. I soft gasp escapes my lips as I am face to face with Mathew again.

"What is wrong with you?" I breath slowly trying to calm my racing heart. He smirks before leaning in, as I feel his breath fan my ear.

"Getting back to what we never finished," He whispers causing a shiver to run down my spine.

"I don't even know you," I whisper as I keep my hands on the wall to keep me standing. I have never been this close to anyone like this before, especially a guy.

"Why don't we get to know each other?" He says pulling away with a smile on his face. He steps back, taking a seat on the couch. I sigh also taking a seat on the couch opposite of him.

"How did you know?" I ask vaguely.

"Know what?" I roll my eyes and sigh.

"That I was...gay?" I ask looking down at my hands. I hear him chuckle from beside me.

"I meet a friend and they told me about you," he says and I look at him confused.

"Who?"

"I don't think the person would like to be known," He laughs. I groan, trying to think of who he could possibly know, or is he just saying that because its completely obvious I'm gay.

"Have you ever been with a guy before?" He asks as a blush creeps up my neck from embarrassment.

"Nothing to be ashamed about," He chuckles. I look over and see a smile on my face.

"Do your parents know?" I ask. He looks down with a smile.

"Nope," He says popping the P. I nod my head in acknowledgment.

"Have you ever been with a guy?"

"Sort of? I have never been in a relationship but I have made out with a few guys," He says like it was nothing. Well, I've done neither so he's ahead of me.

"That's nice," I say. There's an awkward silence and I shuffle in my spot, pulling out my phone. I unlock it but my phone it gets snatched from my hand as I see Mathew looking at my phone.

"What are you doing? Give it back!" I whine slightly trying to reach for it but he pulls it back above his head. He laughs before raising it high as I try to reach for it. I misplaced my leg and tumble on top of him and I know my face is a dark crimson. I start to push back but he wraps one hand around my waist and the other starts coming up to my cheek. I feel his fingers delicately touch my cheek.

"It's cute when you blush," he says pulling me closer.

"T-Thanks?" I say my voice wavering slightly.

"I kinda wanna kiss you right now," He says bluntly with a grin etched on his face.

"But we just met?" I say in disbelief. I really think he could do better than me. I feel my self-esteem start dwindling and I start to pull back.

"Hey, what with that look? I'm not that ugly am I?" He says as I feel his chest vibrate when he chuckles. I look down as I try to get off of him.

"Hey, what's wrong?" He says with confusion and concern. I shake my head. I feel his fingertips on my chin as he lifts it, making me look into his eyes.

"Sorry if I'm to forward, I just like to get what I want before it's gone," He says as he looks into my eyes as if he is looking into my soul.

"No, it's just..." I sigh not able to speak.

"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to," he says starting to release his grip slightly.

"No, it's just, what's so great about me? What makes you want to kiss me?" I ask confused by his attraction. He smiles and nods his head in understanding.

"I might not know you fully, but I think you are quite handsome and...cute," He says as he caresses my cheek with his thumb.

"Cute?" I whisper with my face heating up. He nods with a smile.

"Yes," He says looking at my lips then back up into my eyes. He leans forward, gently places his lip against mine. I stay frozen for a moment as his lips move and I soon start kissing back. I feel excitement course through me. I never thought this was what it would feel like to be kissing anyone, especially a guy. His hands snake up to my sides and softly grip my hair, causing a soft moan to sound from the back of my throat. He smirks against my lip causing me to feel embarrassed at the sound. My mind catches up as I feel his tongue on my lips but I pull away, slightly breathless.

He stares into my eyes with emotions running through them that I can't pinpoint. Maybe it wasn't good. Curse my inexperience. His hands land on my thigh causing a werid tingle as he does. I start to push away but he pulls me back looking at me confused.

"Hey, what's wrong?" He asks jokingly. I sigh.

"Was it bad?" I ask as I look down as I fiddle with my fingers. He grabs my hands in his, causing me to glance into his eyes.

"Is that what's wrong? That was...amazing," he says. I blush as a smile creeps up my face.

I jolt when I hear the door nob and quickly push off Mathew and sit on the couch far from him.

"Hey Mathew, your parents are getting ready to leave. Adam, come say goodbye," My mother says as she shuts the door. I sigh and get up as does Mathew and we head down the stairs.

We get to the bottom of the stairs and they stop talking as they look our way.

"Did you guys get along?" Harold asks.

"Yeah, definitely. Maybe we can hang again? If its okay with you guys," Mathew asks looking over at me.

"Well of course! You're welcome over any time!" My mother says joyfully. We say our goodbyes and Mathew glances at me with a smile before he shuts the door.

"I'm glad you had made a new friend Adam," My father says as he pats me on the back. I nod my head.

"Yeah, I'm gonna go lay down, see you in the morning," I say as my parents say their goodnights as I step up the stairs.

----

"WHAT!?!?!"

I wince at the sound of Clara's screech as she shakes my shoulders.

"You kissed a guy! I'm so happy for you!" She says as she gives me a hug.

"It's just a kiss..." I mumble.

"No, it's not! It's your first kiss!" she exclaims. I shake my head at her excitement.

"I'm happy for you Adam," Emilia says with a genuinely happy smile, I smile back.

"When did this happen?" Clara asks.

"Last weekend, why?" I ask. She nods her head firing another question at me.

"When are you guys going to meet again?" Clara asks.

"Give the poor guys some space Clara," Tony says as he pulls her onto his lap. She huffs crossing her arms.

"He is actually coming tonight," I say and smile at the text he had sent, he got my number when he stole my phone.

"Well then, that's great! What do you guys plan on doing?" Clara asks.

"He asked me on a date," She squeals loudly.

"Where is he taking you?! What are you gonna wear?! What are you gonna do? Are you going t-"

"Clara!" I exclaim with a laugh. She mutters a 'sorry' before closing her mouth.

"I don't know where he is taking me, but he said to dress casually so I still don't have an idea," I say.

"Do your parents know?" Xander asks. I deflate in my chair and feel sadness wash over me.

"No, they just think we are hanging out as friends. I wish I didn't have to hide it but I feel like I know what my parents would say..." I trail off as Xander looks at me with a sorrowful look.

"I'm sorry Adam," He says. I wave my hands and look at the time.

"I should probably head home to get ready. I'll see you guys later," I say as I head out of Xander's house.

----

I finish fixing my hair, giving it a messy but stylish look before glancing up and down at my outfit. I have on light navy jeans and a maroon t-shirt. I readjust my shirt when I hear my mom down the stairs.

"Adam! Mathew is here!" She says.

"Coming!" I yell back. I quickly go down the stairs and get meet with Mathew. I almost freeze as I look at him in casual clothes. He's wearing dark washed jeans and a black t-shirt that hugs his body gratefully. He looks at me and subtly smiles.

"Is it okay if we go out mom?" I ask, making it seem like a casual hangout.

"Yes, of course, go have fun," She says shooing us out the door. I laugh at her before we head out the door as she shuts it right behind us.

"Someones eager to get you out of the house," He laughs as he opens his car door for me. I smile taking a seat. He gets on the other side and starts the car, pulling out of the driveway.

"Where are we going?" I ask.

"It's a surprise," He says as we keep driving.

----

We hit a dirt path and I look over at him confused.

"Where are we?" I ask slightly worried. He chuckles at my nervousness and takes a quick glance at me.

"You'll see," he says with a smile. The car stops and he reaches in the back, pulling out a basket and blanket neatly folded on the top. I smile.

"I figured we could be alone and eat then look at the stars together?" He says with a slightly worried expression.

"Sounds amazing," I say with a smile. We step out of the car and he grabs my hand in his as he leads me to who knows where. We come to a stop in the middle of a clearing. He releases my hand and I sort of miss the warm as he sets up the blanket.

"I hope you like turkey sandwiches, chips, and Dr. Pepper," He asks holding up the sodas.

"Of course, sounds great," I say as I take a seat next to him. He hands me a sandwich and I unwrap it as I take a bite.

"Thank you," I say, taking another bite.

"What for? It's just a sandwich," He laughs as he takes a bite of his.

"No, not just for the sandwich. For asking me on this date," I say with a smile.

"No problem. I like to spend time with you," He says continuing to eat.

I smile and nod as we eat in silence.

"What kinda of stuff are you into? Besides me of course," He jokes with a laugh.

"Um, not very much mostly video games as you know, but not too much. I think it's kinda funny actually, I really like astronomy, which is why I really like this date," I say as I grab a bag of chips and open them, taking a chip out, popping it in my mouth.

"Well seems like I have made a great decision," He says as he takes the chips from my hands. I pout as he looks at me from the corner of his eyes. He hands the bag back to me after he has eaten some. I smile at him as he opens a soda. He takes a drink and I watch as his adams-apples bobs with every chug he takes. He stops and turns to me, catching me staring at him. I quickly turn my head and watch as the sky grows darker as the sun starts to set.

"It will be dark soon, I hope your not cold if so I have an extra blanket in my car," He says point his thumb behind him.

"Uh, that would be great actually," I say shifting slightly. He stood up taking the basket with him as well since we had finished everything.

Moments later he comes back with a huge blanket wrapping it around me. I grab it tugging it tightly around me.

"Do you want to share the blanket?" I ask

"No, I'm good for now," He says laying down on the blanket. I also layback looking up at the star-filled sky with a new moon, making the stars more bright in the sky.

I point out different constellations hearing a hum in approval.

"You sure know your stars," He says with a laugh. I glance over to see him shiver slightly.

"I can share the blanket you know? It's pretty big," I say, He looks at me with a smirk and I roll my eyes at his insinuating face.

"Real mature," I draw out. He chuckles before moving closer to me. I open the blanket feeling the chill from the air. He gets in the blanket and wraps his arm around me and I stay stiff for a moment before relaxing into the warmth. He puts his face in my hair as I hear him sniff my hair. I blush.

"What are you doing?" I ask confused while trying not to laugh at him.

"You just smell really good," He says.

"You're very...forward," I laugh. He chuckles next to me.

"That's just how I am. Hope that doesn't bother you," He whispers in my ear.

"It doesn't bother me, I like honesty," I say truthfully. He wraps his arms tighter around me. I smile and cuddle closer to him.

For the next couple of hours, we talk and watch the stars till he checks his phone, noticing how late it is.

"Maybe we should head back?" I say. He sighs before reluctantly standing up.

"Yeah, I guess," He says as he starts picking up the blankets. We walk to the car and he puts the blankets in the back as I take a seat up front. He soon gets in and starts the drive back to my house.

----

We pull into the driveway and he turns off the engine.

"Well this is my house," I say awkwardly.

"Yeah, I know," He laughs. I roll my eyes and start to grab the door handle but he grips my other wrist and I turn my face to him.

"Don't dates end in a kiss?" He asks with a smile.

"I don't kiss on the first date," I say titling my head up with a raised eyebrow.

"But you do when we are not on a date?" He questions with a smirk. I blush at how true his words are.

"Still, maybe next time," I say with my own grin. His smirk grows wider.

"So there is a next time," He says with a raise of his eyebrow. I almost facepalm.

"I guess so," I say as I quickly exit the car. I rush to the house and shut the door right behind me. The lights are off, meaning my parents have gone to bed.

I jolt when I hear a light knock on the door and my eyebrows furrow in confusion. I slowly open the door to see Mathew.

"Wha-" Before I could say anything his lips press against mine. His hand trails up my waist, pulling me closer to him. I kiss back as our lips mold together, feeling his grip tighten around my waist. He pulls away and I stare at him dumbstruck.

"What are you doing? I said I don't kiss on the first date," I say with a small laugh.

"I thought once you enter the house our date was over so, I took my chance because you seem to kiss when not on dates," He laughs as he smirks down at me. I roll my eyes before pushing on his chest.

"Goodbye Mathew," I laugh as I shut the door slowly hearing the click and locking it behind me. A smile grows on my lips as I touch them with my fingertips. I turn around and fear rushes through me.

"M-Mom? I-It's not what it looks like," I say as my voice starts to tremble. My mother stares at me in disbelief and starts to rush up the stairs.

"Mom! Wait!" I say. My mom abruptly turns around as tears form in her eyes.

"Why didn't you tell me? Tell us?" She says as tears stream down he face. I stare at her trying to form a coherent sentence from the jumble of words running through my head.

"I-I was scared mom! I didn't want you guys to be disappointed
