I'm so glad that it's finally Friday. The week has felt so long but finally glad for the weekend. I'm still nervous about going to my parents Sunday, but I will have Xander with me, so that makes it better. I got my stitches removed yesterday and the doctor said they are healing fine but not to pick at the scabs on them.

Makenna has also left me alone but still gives me evil glares but I've come to learn to ignore it. My grandma said it was alright to go to Clara's and I'm actually excited. I'm now sitting in her car on the way to the store to grab some snacks and we will rent a movie or something.

We arrive at the store and she parks the car. I click my seatbelt off and we get out of the car walking into the store.

We walk into the store following her as we head straight to the chips.

"Alright pick anything, I'm paying, so get whatever looks good," she says before grabbing herself some chips. I look at the wide variety of chips and grab the cheddar cheese flavored chips. I put them in the basket and we continue walking around the store.

"Now to the candy!" She exclaims before marching down the aisle. I let out a small giggle before follow close behind her.

"Okay, my favorites are sour gummy worms, but you can pick whichever. Don't worry about the money," She says grabbing the bag.

"Okay...these are good," I say grabbing the sour patch kids.

"Is there any other snacks you would like?" She asks me.

"Uh...n-"

"Oh! I almost forgot...ice cream!" She says interrupting me and heading to the ice cream.

She grabs a tub of strawberry and she gestures for me to grab one. I pick the vanilla fudge swirl and put it in the basket.

"Okay...I think that's everything now we can leave because I got soda and juices at the house already," she says before we head to the register. She sets the basket down taking everything out. The guy rings up the items and Clara hand him cash. We grab the bags and head out the store to the car. We put the bags in the back and get in driving back to her house.

"I figured we could order pizza for dinner, you like pizza?" She asks.

"Uh yeah," I say laughing in a jokingly duh tone. She laughs before nodding her head.

We arrive at her house and walk up the driveway to her front door. She unlocks it and we enter.

"My parents kinda work late so we get the house to ourselves for a while," she says. We set the bags down on the counter. She put the ice cream in the freezer before turning to me.

"I'll order the pizza, any requests?" she asks. I think for a moment.

"Pepperoni?" I ask.

"But it doesn't matter whatever y-"

"Pepperoni is good," She says before grabbing the phone from the counter. She dials the number and orders the pizza while I stand on the side awkwardly not knowing what to do. She hangs up the phone and looks over at me.

"It will be about 20 minutes. Let's grab the snacks and head upstairs. We can pick a movie to watch," she says grabbing a bag and heading up the stairs. I followed suit and entered her room behind her.

"Wow," I mumble under my breath.

"I love your room," I say as I look around.

It was bigger than mine but not to sound jealous or rude but it was. It has a huge TV hanging on the wall and a desk perfectly organized with a desktop computer. I glance over at the neatly made, full-size bed, with light green and dark grey colors. I see a door in the corner assuming it's the closet.

"Thank you, my mom made me clean my room, but it's not like super messy all the time it's just cleaner than usual," she says with a chuckle gesturing around the room.

"It's really nice," I say.

"Do you mind sharing the bed or I could sleep on an air mattress?" she asks.

"I don't mind sharing if you don't," I say setting my duffel bag next to the bed.

"Okay awesome," she says walking over to her bed. She takes off some of the pillows stacking them on the end seat of her bed. She pulls the blanket back and takes all the snacks laying them on the bed. I take a seat next to her. She grabs the remote looking through the movies.

"Anything catching your eye?" she asks. Still flipping through the movies.

"Not really. It doesn't really matter to me what we watch," I say with shrug.

"Oh my gosh! Have you seen the movie, Love Simon?" I shake my head.

"No, what's it about?" I question. She gives me a shocked expression putting her hand on her chest.

"Well now we have to watch it," She says leaning back. I hear a doorbell and she instantly shoots up.

"Pizza!" She says with excitement heading down the stairs and I follow behind her. I see her open the door and get greeted by the pizza guy. She hands him the money bidding a goodbye before shutting the door.

"Alright let's get this sleepover started!" she squeals, heading for the stairs going back to her room.

She flops on the bed with the pizza box laying in between us.

She plays the movie and we dig into our food.

----{If you haven't see Love Simon, Don't worry there IS NOT any spoiler}----

The credits roll when the movie finishes and a huge smile spread across my face.

"That was an amazing movie," I say.

"I know I cried so many times during the movie when I first saw it," she says breathing a laugh.

"Yeah, I cried a few times too," I chuckle.

I look down at the empty pizza box and the half eating chips and candy surprised I ate as much as I did.

Clara gets up and starts picking up the trash. I get up helping her with the remainder of the stuff. We head down the stairs and throw the trash away and put the snacks in the pantry.

I hear the door open and some talking before the people enter the kitchen doorway.

"Hey Clara, Oh this must be Emilia?" The women say, who I assume is her mother.

"Yep. Emilia, these are my parents Stacy and Richard," She says gesturing to each.

"N-Nice to meet you," I say with a small smile.

"Nice to meet you too," they say.

"We are tired, long day of work, so we are going to bed," Stacy says before they head up the stairs.

"Goodnight Mom and Dad," she says. I hear a faint good night. After we finished putting the food in the pantry we head up the stairs to her room.

She heads to her closet grabbing her pj's. I do the same grabbing sweatpants and t-shirt from my bag.

"Do you want me to leave so you can change?" She asks. I shake my head.

"No, it's okay," I say as I start changing into my clothes. She does the same then we lay on the bed getting under the cover.

"How have you been doing Emilia?" She asks suddenly. I shuffle lightly and look up at the ceiling.

"It's been okay I guess. My mom came back after being gone for 3 years. I'm going to see my birth father that I didn't even know existed," I chuckle lightly.

"Are you nervous?" She asks. I shrug my shoulders.

"I don't know really. It's hard to say. I guess I'm scared he might not want me in their lives, I might 'ruin' there perfect little family life. But I really don't know," I say

"I wouldn't believe that, she did come back right? So she would want you back in her life right?" She says.

"Yeah, probably," I say.

"I've also been kinda scared since the incident with that guy and my father and brother disappearing. It has me all paranoid. I feel like they will come from nowhere and I won't ever escape them," I say glancing over at Clara to see her staring at the ceiling with a gloomy expression.

"I understand where you are coming from Emilia," she says turning on her side to face me with somber features.

"What's wrong Clara?" I ask concerned, turning to face her as well. She lets out a long sigh closing her eyes for a moment.

"I've never really told anyone this before Emilia but I feel like you would understand me more than anyone," she says.

"I'm here for you like you've been for me," I say sincerely. She let out a shaky breathe before speaking.

"I understand you more than you think Emilia...I-I use to cut too," She says lowly. I look at her slightly shocked but quickly mask it. I would never have thought Clara would have done that too. It just shows you never know what happens in other people lives. She sighs before she continues.

"My freshman year I went to my first high school party and it was really fun for the most part. I was enjoying myself with my friends dancing and laughing like any teenager at a party," she says. I nod my head giving her an encouraging smile to continue.

"It was later when I had a few drinks, I was a lightweight, never having really drank before, so I was a little out of it, not really thinking clearly. I noticed this guy taking an interest in me but I kept saying that I wasn't interested. I was just trying to enjoy the time with my friends," she pauses as her eyes start to pool with tears.

"He would glance at me every once in a while but I didn't pay it any mind," she lets out a shallow laugh.

"Oh, how I was wrong...someone offered me a drink and I gladly took it, like a dumbass that I was," she says rubbing her face and letting out a long sigh.

"I didn't even really know what happened, he came up to me saying he was helping me and dragged me to some unknown place and...he started to touch me and I would say stop but he didn't a-and I couldn't stay fully awake. It's like I c-couldn't move and I woke up the next day...I woke up with my clothes torn apart. I was so scared and stupid, it was my fault..." she says letting out a sob. I get closer to bringing her into a comforting hug.

"Clara it wasn't your fault, none of that was your fault. He took advantage of you and you can't blame yourself for that," I say. She squeezes tighter and continues to cry making tears form in my eyes from her hurting this much.

"M-My friends abandon me when I started acting different, avoiding them, not talking much anymore. They thought I was mad at them but they never stayed around. I know it was my fault but I just wanted them to fight for me because I couldn't fight for myself," she whimpers before another sob escapes her.

Her breathing soon calms down slightly and she releasing me.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you feel sorry for me," she says with a grim laugh. I shake my head at her, smiling slightly.

"Don't be sorry. Sometimes we have to tell someone, holding all of that baggage isn't good for you or anyone for that matter. I'm glad you told me," I say. A small smile appears on her face as she wipes the stray tears from her face.

"Thank you, Emilia," She says. I give her a small smile.

"You're welcome Clara," I reply.
