This chapter,someone makes an appearance and you guys get to see how Sterling and April relationship evolves.

Sterling's POV

    "How are you sweetie?" Yolanda comes up to me,giving me a little squeeze on my arm.

    "I'm much better now.Therapy really helps but if you're going there,I'm gonna leave you with an advice.You really need to unpack." I said and Yolanda raised an eyebrow.

      "Unpack as in? My issues and trauma?"

      "Yes,exactly! Oh,you could bring Bowser too.If you guys ever need guidance in your relationship."
I nudged and both of us look over at Bowser on his phone.

        "There's no relationship to begin with.We're bounty hunters,we're professional."

          "So you're telling me that you're single and he's single and both of you are in a really good shape...doesn't want to date?"

             "Well Bowser is like a shy wolf but a sexy one if he wants to." She stares down at him,checking him out.

             "Bowser have moves,huh? Then you should go for it.Nothing serious.Take him out for tacos.Hard tacos."

              "What you two talking bout?" Bowser joins in and I let out a nervous smile.

             "Nothing,just a little chat." I elbowed Yolanda to back me up and she nodded,smiling.

"Cool.Where's Blair?" Bowser asked and I chuckled."She's hogging up all the yoghurt."

"Blair,I swear to god." Bowser runs back to the store and boy,did we interrupt something less than hogging.

"I guess hogging in Blair's terms is slipping her tongue down her boyfriend's." I cleared my throat as Blair and Eric was caught red-handed.

I'm fine with making out with April but not when we're about to get some bounty hunting action on.Eric shouldn't even be here.

"Hey Sterling." Eric chuckled nervously,and he gets his hand off Blair.Blair blushed,wiping off her lips.

"Eric.Blair,shouldn't we get going on our errands? Mom and Dad aren't going to be happy for our tardiness."

"We don't have to say that anymore.I told Eric that we're bounty hunters."

"You did what?" Yolanda and I raised our voice and my eyes widened at the confession.

"I thought you said 'this has to remain top secret work' and we even twin sweared,Blair."

"I know but the whole reason why it didn't work out with Miles was because I was upfront and honest.I made excuses over and over again,it caused problems between us.At least now Eric gets it."

"I mean it's dangerous but my girlfriend is kicking ass out there putting bad guys away.How
can I not support that?" Eric chuckled,smiling over at Blair.

"Right and on other news..." Blair couldn't stop smiling and both of them starts giggling.I
look down on them and Eric cleared his throat.

"We're getting married AND we're engaged."

"What?" Now all three of us raised our voice.

"I love you,Blair.I do.But this,this is crazy.If I'm not there with April,you guys shouldn't even be there."

"Sterling,I was heartbroken after Miles and thought that love was bullshit until I met Eric.Look,
I want to be with Eric.He's everything I've ever wanted.Can't you just be happy for me?"

"I am,truly.I will be always for all of your milestones,achievements but you're not thinking straight."

"You mean you cause you're bi-"

"Not the point.You've always wanted to be big,bizarre and unexpected.Have you really thought this through?" I crossed my arms,looking at them with concern written all over my face.

"I have.Mom and Dad likes him,I'll be graduating with you soon and he'll become the manager at his coffee shop.It's going to be great."

"I don't know,Blair.It's going too fast." I let out and walked off in frustration.

"Where are you going?" Blair called out but I just went further on.

I mean,this is crazy.Blair getting married and it shouldn't be happening.Not for at least 3-4 years ahead.

I walked for an hour down the neighbourhood up and down,calming myself down.

              I just gotta wrap my head around the idea that my sister is getting married and is in fact engaged.

             I walked back to the froyo place because I've gotta apologise.I should've been supportive and be there for her,just like she has with me.With April.

            "You're not getting away,Sterling." Someone cocked a gun to my head and I stopped dead in my tracks.

Okay,now my sister's engagement news then this.

            "A voice so familiar but is disgustingly hard to hear,Mr Stevens." I put my hands up and turn my back slowly around to face him.

             "It's been awhile,John.How's hiding been so far? Like leaving your daughter behind." I added.

He looks kind of scruffy,like deadbeat especially with those baggy jeans.Definitely not a good look on him.

               "I'm the one with the gun here.I think you should be careful with your words." He points out and it wasn't like I was blind.

               "Who said I didn't have a gun?" I whipped right off and pointed it to him.

                 "Two can tango but I'd like to talk and like I said you're not getting away."

                 "Fine,let's talk here." I said,throwing my gun to the side.He threw his too to make it even.

                  "You've been fooling my daughter for over a year and it's sick.Sick,sick." He spit out and I chuckled.

                "Says the guy who beats up women."

                 "Do you have any idea how far you have strayed her,she's losing sight of the path that she's meant to be with.This is outrageous."

                "Mr Stevens,I don't know how long you've been hiding but April has strong beliefs and faith.
She's not being strayed away,she's being who she is."

                  "That's not how I raised her,we're Christians.All women should marry a man and have kids."

          "Can you see how the world is revolving? A woman doesn't need a man to survive,we can make
meets end.The one thing you should be worried about is whether a woman will steal your wife these days."

                "Interesting but Jean is straight.She's always been and always will."

                "She may be straight but she's there for her daughter,providing for her.And April has a safe place to come out to,and not with a homophobe skank like you."

                "You hell stay away from April.She's lost her mind,everything because of you.Once I come back,she won't go near you or Blair for that matter.
She's better with the Luke guy after all."

                "No,you're not going anywhere.You'll be back to the authorities."

               "You think you can take me?" He threatened,trying to square up.Though his form isn't any good.

              "Yeah but with them,I think the chances are a hundred percent." The car pulled up and it was them.

"How'd you even get them to come here?"
He's undermining my skills to text behind his back while he was giving his speech.Plus,Blair now has my location for situations like these.

             "You screwing me over again? This is not over." Bowser and Blair points the gun at him, kicking the ones on the floor.

           "It kind of is and Mr Steven,I will marry your daughter one day and when I do,I won't be needing your approval." Blair threw the handcuffs to me, and I apprehended him against the car.

          "She'll never marry you especially if she doesn't know who you really are.A bounty hunter.The one who caught her father and put him in misery.You know my daughter,she gets suspicious about these things."

       "Just get him in the car." Yolanda rolled her eyes and  got in the driver seat, interrupting him.I shoved him to the back and sighed.

     "He's one talker, isn't he?" Blair comes up to me.

     "Well I'm dating one and she's bossy but cute." I mentioned and we both chuckled,walking up to the sidewalk.I looked up and it was ...

     "April?" She was standing there in the verge of tears, and her hands over her mouth.

    "April.I can explain."

   "How Sterling? You kept this from me! Every time I opened up to you and talked about my father, you knew.You knew because you were the one who locked him up."

"Oh hey guys.What's going on- Oh." Bowser walks in on us and sensed the vibe.

"I'm gonna go.Let's go Blair." He taps for Blair but she held back.

    "He's a bad guy,April.Can't you see that? I'm the one who told Sterling to never tell anyone and she didn't.For your own safety." Blair steps up but I can fight my own battles.

    "Really,Blair? How'd that work out with you? Doesn't that ruin your relationships with people and you all of people should know about trust and lies."
Blair just got silenced and April looks back at me.

     "It's not like I didn't want to tell you April.I wanted to, many times."

      "That you were a bounty hunter or you locked my father up and lied to my face over and over?"

      "It's weird and funny actually because I was just walking round the neighbourhood and I was planning to call you up.Ask you to meet me at that spot in the park and asked you to marry me."She pulls up the ring box right out the hoodie.

      "April..." I tried to speak out but she held out her hand to stop me.

     "I was tensed when you talked about marriage during our trip but after we came back,I started thinking about it a lot.And I wanted to.I wanted to be with you for the rest our lives.And now I don't know if I can."

    "We can work this out,April.Always have and always will.Let's talk it out." I suggested but usually one of us goes off in fit and never talk to each other for a few days.

It wasn't that healthy and we should be talking about this.

   "Sure, let's talk." April agreed and Blair smiles nervously,now leaving us be.

"Great...are you hungry?"

   "Yeah,I'll just have a cheeseburger and milkshake." I said and the waiter turns to April.

  "I'll have nachos and cheese, fries, a mushroom burger and a strawberry milkshake." The waiter nods, taking down the orders and walks away.

   "You're really hungry, huh? I thought you didn't like too much greasy food."

   "I eat as much as I want because it's my body.You got that sweetie?"

  "Yeah.So how's your day been?"

  "I don't know.It went from 'I can't believe I'm even going through with this whole proposal' to 'Oh my God, my girlfriend has been lying to me.' It's a really cool transition."

"I get it that you're upset but I already told you that it's for your safety."

"Then how did I even got involved in the whole Rachel mess?"

"She cheated on me, remember? I didn't take her back and she used you as leverage to get back together with her again."

"Right...and that whole crew that helped you out, they were all bounty hunters?"

"Yeah and there was even one from the outside.We didn't contact the police straightaway because they'd only draw attention and somehow they'll know."

"Okay and how long have you been doing this?"

"That year that we sort of 'dated' and ever since."

"So around when you also found my father's allegations."

"Yes and I feel like I'm in an interrogation right now but would be cooler without the music and the people around.Kind throws me off with the seriousness."

"Sterling, focus and you should be taking this seriously.It's our relationship."

"You're right.What else?"

"Here's your milkshakes and food.Enjoy!" The waiter comes up,interrupting us.She sets everything down on the table and I took a sip of my milkshake.

"So when he was in prison, it was because of you and not the police.You also knew about it all along especially when I opened up to you now and then, when we kissed and everything else."   

"Yes and yes."

"Okay...what does this bounty hunting job entails? Do you carry guns everywhere you go? Is it a weekly, monthly thing? Who runs this whole thing?"

"First of all, bounty hunting is legal so I'm not doing anything criminal-like.We kind of hunt and take our 'skip' down and bring them round."

"I can't say, it's kind of depends on Bowser.How many skips we're being handed.Yolanda is behind all of it."

We kept talking about it for hours, as April interrogates me with all these questions.I'm just still wondering if this whole bounty hunting thing will really ruin her trust for me and my relationship with her.

"You've always surprised me,Sterling.In many ways.I just don't what this is going to do to us, what I feel about the whole relationship." I looked right into her eyes,hoping that she's not going to break up with me.

"And if you're really looking at me, thinking whether we're breaking up, the answer will always be no."

"I get it,April.I should've been out there with this whole thing instead of you finding out this way as you walk by the neighbourhood."

"We'll get through this.I promise." She holds out her pinky finger and I couldn't help but link with hers.

She's right.We'll get through this together.
