Blair's POV

    "Hey babe! Are you excited for tonight's dinner date." I started and he nods.Eric was playing with his dog,Bruno,and sat him on his lap.

     "You still haven't told me what's the surprise.I'm terrified yet stoked."

       "Don't ever say stoked again unless we managed to time travel and I think you're gonna love it."

       "As long as it's not with your parents..." Eric pointed out and I frowned in confusion.

      "What's wrong with my parents? I thought you wanted to meet them."

       "I do but I'm having second thoughts.I'm just a normal boy with a cute dog who went to the community centre like April."

         "They'll not judge you off that and you said it yourself that you were framed."

            "Eric,I'm serious about us and I really want to introduce you to them." I added and he took a moment to process it through.

           "Fine but you're gonna send me a list of topics I'm allowed and forbid to talk about."

             "What do you think I've been doing for the past few hours?" He chuckled,as I sent him the list.

   
            I think this might turn out great after all.Mom was totally onboard and Dad was looking forward on meeting him.

            "You need any help? I can slice those tomatoes for you if you want." I started.

             "Oh don't you worry,sweetie.You get ready and dressed up for dinner when Eric arrives."

               "Will Sterling be joining us?" I asked because I haven't seen her since she left for school.

  "She's supporting April in her role for a play.The community centre will be hosting it." Mom replied.

       "Cool,I'm going to head back up to my room."

Sterling's POV

        I plopped myself down next to April and watched as the rest of the other people walked in, recognising a few familiar faces.Jack and this young blonde petite woman walks up on stage, side by side.

     Jack clasps his hand together and gathered everyone's attention, speaking to the mic.

           "Welcome all of you.I'm certain that you know what's on the agenda today.Miss Bailey here is the director of the play.All proceeds will go directly to the orphanage as you know.Now,let's get down to business."Jack started out and Miss Bailey caught my eye.

         The moment went on a little longer than I wanted and I turned my eyes off her to April.

        "Everything okay, sweetie?" She took my hands, squeezing it.I nodded and avert our attention back to Jack.

        "I'll start by pairing you off and you'll perform a scene together.I can assure you that everyone here is obligated to audition." Jack looked right through me and I gave a slight smile.He rambled on about the play and I start dozing off.

        I'm not much of an actor,I'd rather consider myself as a supervisor or consultant.

         "You heard what he said.You can join me." April suggested and I chuckled.

         "I'm sorry but I'm sitting this one out.Stage frights and I might screw it up just like debate.On the plus side, if you perform as lead,I can say you're my girlfriend to everyone."

       April nods her head, understanding.Her name got called out and she stole a quick kiss for goodbye.

      Everyone were scattered around, memorising and reading off the lines with their partner.I was a little out of the element.Inevitably,Miss Bailey walks directly up to me.

     "If you're here, you're either here before or supporting someone." She started out, with a hint of hunger in her eyes.

     "Yes, my girlfriend actually." I pointed out, taking a quick glance at April.

     "I can say you have great taste but hers is impeccable." Her eyes managed to give me chills as she stares me down.

     "Are you flirting with me,Bailey?" I questioned and she took a step closer.

     "Maybe I am.Maybe I'm not.I still know my boundaries but I wanted to propose something by you." I nod, allowing her to continue.

     "You were here when the fundraiser took place and it was a success.I haven't been here for long so I needed a consultant on this play."

      "I think you'r doing that to spend time with me.Although,I will consider it,Bailey." I offered my hand and she shook it.

     The auditions began, and Jack called out on each pairs to try out different scenes to test the waters.

     I looked down at the script and it was basically about a new-coming of age play.A group of friends learning and finding love up till their graduation.

     Comedy here and there and sizzling drama in between but what makes it better is that love is regardless of colour and gender.This is a great deal, one that this community has never learn to understand before.Representation and awareness is so important that people need to start to accept it.

    Main characters are Amanda,Casey,Josh,Brenda,Brandon and Ian.All of them are best friends who ended up getting together after their trials and error on love when they realised that all they've been searching for was right in front of them.

    I'm hoping that April will get the role of Casey, a student pursuing law in college but always been too hardworking to stop and take a minute of her time for herself.

     The auditions came to an end after the last pair and dismissed everyone for the day.Bailey turns for my point of view and I paused to consider my words.

      "I think the cast has potential and the script is going to blow them away."

      "Thank you and what role would be suitable for April in this play?"

      "I can't say because the decisions comes from both you and Jack.Although,I find that with your sense,she'd be right for only one role."  I stood up and excused myself.

     April approaches me and was a little off the range of happy.

     "What's wrong?"

    "What does that Bailey wants from you? She's been staring at you for the last 30 minuets." She crossed her arms and I chuckled.

    "It's weird,I know.However she offered me to be a consultant on this play, she needed someone who's been here and..."

   "I think ultimately she wants to spend time with you."

   "C'mon,it's nothing like that.It's a great opportunity,I get to meet and support you along the way.I explicitly told her that you're my girlfriend when she hit on me."

    "She hit on you?"

    "It's no big deal,Rachel." I blurted out and realised who's name I just said.

     "What did you just say to me? You know what I'm walking home." April walks off in a huff and I  cussed.

      "April,I didn't mean that.It slipped out of my mouth." I protest but my cries didn't matter.

     Damn it.

    Blair's POV

   "Eric.Come in." I gestured him into the house and he surveyed the room, and every furniture that we own.

   "This is a beautiful home you have,Blair and you look amazing." He kisses me lightly on the forehead.

   "Thanks babe but you're not here to impress me,remember?" I reminded.

  "That's why I brought flowers and a gift for you and your Mom."

  "You're gonna impress my Dad with your hunting skills?"

   "Maybe.." He chuckled and Mom makes her way over.

   "Hi Eric.It's so lovely to meet you.Blair has talked alot about you."

"I hope good things.It's lovely to meet you,Mrs Wesley.I come bearing gifts and flowers."

"Aren't you a charmer? Come,come.Join us for dinner." She takes Eric by the hand,and leads him to the dining room.

Dad walks in just in time with a bowl of salad and chicken wings.

"Dad,this is Eric.My boyfriend." Eric offers his hand and Dad looks at it with his brows furrowed.

There was a silence between them but Eric still stood his ground.

"How you doing,Eric?" He breaks into a smile and takes Eric's hand.I sighed and chuckled nervously.

"Doing good,sir." Eric shakes it firmly and comes to my side.

"Why don't we all seat and dive in? All this food ought to be cold."

"If I may,I would like to say the prayers." Eric announced and Mom gives me a side wink.

     She likes him already.

"Dad,I'm telling you,Eric can make a better coffee than you do."

"Oh yeah,I'd like to see him try." Dad teased and we all laugh.

"Well,this has been a treat.Thank you for the food,Mr and Mrs Wesley." He set the fork and knife down,taking a sip of water.

"Oh,don't you worry sweetie."

"Blair,mind if Eric here and I have a little chat outside?" Dad signals him over,and Eric turn to look at me.

I munched on my fries and nodded,letting them talk it out.I should be worried but I don't think so.
He's doing pretty good .

        Sterling walks into the dining room and slouched next to me.

        "Oh hey Sterling.How was the auditions?" I offered her a french fry but from her expression,she needs ice cream.

        "What did you do this time?" I sighed,and tried to wipe my hand clean.
 
         "We had a heated argument and -" Dad interrupted Sterling when he walks with Eric,smiling.

         "I like this boy,Blair." He pats him on the back and I smiled in response.

          "Why don't we talk about it later,Sterling?" I told her and she nods,leaving the dining room.

         After a few more small talk,Eric thanked and said goodbye to my parents.

         "You were amazing,babe.I didn't know you had it in you."

        "If I'm dating Blair Wesley,I think I need to have it in me." Eric chuckled,looking into my eyes.

       "Thank you for allowing me to meet them,I know it must've been hard." Eric pulls me closer and I immediately melt into his arms.

        "No,thank you." I said softly and he leans in,giving me a soft kiss.

        "Goodnight,Blair."
