  Sterling POV

"You know I've been bugging Bowser to get Yolanda on a date but he doesn't seem to listen."

"He never listens. He always thinks we're trippin.Anyways,I have to go." Blair replied and both of us went off our different ways.

Well,I guess now it's off to college.I drove to school with a positive mind that God has something planned out for me.

It's been 3 years since April and I broke up.I'm really bummed about it but it can't be help. She had to stay 'closeted' since her dad got out.

Which by the way wasn't supposed to happen until years or months.I don't really know jail sentence.

My love life hasn't been all that good.Luke and I have been going on and off but it wasn't consistent.
He even asked April out on a date and she said 'yes' like I bet.

My sexuality was even more confused than ever.I didn't know that they were so many in the LGBT community.I didn't want to fully label myself yet because I think I should just slowly process all of it.

I parked my car in the parking lot and saw a whole different setting.Like the first time I saw college people in Miles's party or whatever.

I really got drunk that night.

I walked out and found different types of people hanging around in their groups. Some were really aesthetic and cool, while others had 'bad' vibes.

"Welcome to Eastside College. We are a private elite college school that will meet all of your needs in your studies, extracurricular activities and programs."  A young woman greeted me,handing out a brochure.
It kinda made me jump a little.

     I'm a very nervous person.

"Hi! I'm Sterling." I held my hand, and now I seem to regret it.Nonetheless, the girl took my hand.

"Rachel." She smiled and then slowly lets go.

"So are you a student here or a teacher? I mean you look so young so I'm not really sure..." I fidgeted around and chuckled nervously.

       "A student,yes.I'm a sophomore actually."
"Oh okay, that's cool." Now,we stood there awkwardly.I didn't actually know where to go after this.

"Would you like me to show you around? I could even bring you to homeroom for your orientation week." She suggested, giving me a warm smile.

I only took a good look now that she's really pretty. She had dark nightingale hair with green eyes,of jade. Her skin fair and her smile that was-

Wow,was I really checking this girl out?

"Urm..yes." I finally replied and she started to lead the way.The building was really huge and decent actually.

She showed me the lecture rooms, the canteen, the library(really huge) and the other areas. The people here too seem really nice.

In the end,we finally stopped at a far end of block C.

"Well, here's homeroom. You're actually 10 mins early so you could chill for awhile."

     "Thanks." I said,and she nods.
"No problem and if you have any questions,go ahead and ask me."

I thought about it but I couldn't think much because most of the school stuff would be told later on in homeroom.I have also have the map to the building now.

      Then,it hit me.

"So is everyone religious here like are you Christian? Is there any rules...I'm sorry this is just me."

"Well,we are not as religious. We stick to our own beliefs and respect each other.Yes,I am a fellow Christian.I've actually heard a-lot about you." She said, raising one eyebrow .

"You have?" I said in an inviting tone.

"Your Fellowship fallout." I chuckled nervously, realising what happened. All of it started because of April.

       Right...April.

"It was a really long time ago." I laugh it off and she just nods, with a meaning to ask more.

Except I didn't want to explain more.

"Well,I'll see you around,Rachel.Thank you for showing me around." I broke the ice and told her off.

"Yeah,of course." She smiled and walks away.

     She was something.

The lecture was really boring.I was trying to focus except people were snoring beside me.I walked out of the room, with all the bustling freshmen students.

"Hey,you're the dyke, aren't you? Fooling around with April Stevens?" A random guy comes up to me and pushed me against the wall,as he said it to my face.

"What? What the hell! Get off me." I pushed him off with a hard shove, sending him to lose balance.

"Well,by the looks of it,you haven't moved on after ALL this years." He said mockingly and I got really mad.

I punched him really hard like how Bowser taught me,except that it hurts my knuckles after.

The blood starts oozing out from his nose and I didn't care that it was.How in the hell did he knew about it.

A crowd started surrounding both of us but most went over that guy.

Only Blair,April and I knew about this.Maybe Hannah B,but she's a little clueless at times.

"Miss Sterling. What have you gotten yourself into?" I turned to see Madame Rose.My face went pale like a ghost, literally. She kinds of scare me during homeroom.

"She punched me.Really hard." He said in a timid way,and looks all hurt when it was ONLY one punch.

"Both of you in my office."

I sighed and walked with her to the office with the guy.

"I'm very disappointed to see this behaviour on the first day of college,Ms Sterling. When I read your college essay,it sounds like you're a sweet passionate and ambitious girl but somehow, this proves otherwise." She starts and I look down on the carpet.
I mean,I was disappointed at myself as well.

I look around the room actually, and most of the office equipments were up to date and actually aesthetically done.

      This place was really cool,actually.

"And you,Mr Brian, what made you go up to Sterling and said all those words. It is really insensitive and unacceptable as well. You know better,Brian, than to get into trouble."

He nodded, while looking on the carpet.

"Well,I have no choice but to send you for community work. It's really not that hard.Mr Brian will be doing it for 2 weeks while Ms Sterling will have a month full of community work."

"That's not fair." I plead and she held up a hand, which made me stop talking. She's pretty dominant and scary.

"No protests at all.It has been decided. You can take the day off,Ms Sterling. To cool your mind."
She emphasised on the cool and I sighed.

"And your community work starts today at 3pm."

       This sucks.Totally sucks.

She dismissed us and now I'm all here, miserable with community work.

I really want to know why he pounced at me.It was really frustrating hearing all of that when clearly it was still hurting me.

I went out of the office to find Rachel outside.

"I'm sorry about what happened.Brian isn't usually like that. He's a real good person but somehow he has it out for you." She said.

"Well,no kidding." I rolled my eyes and looks away.

"Just take the day off and start again refreshed.
I'll see you around,Sterling."

I went back home, telling the whole story of what happened in college. Not mentioning the 'April' part at all. They understood but were still against the idea and whatsoever.

I waited until 3 to head over the community centre to start my community work.

As I walked in,you won't believe who was there as well.

       April.
