INTRODUCTION

Zara McMann is a shy, unassuming, and timid sixteen year old girl. In her final years of high school, she is determined to finish the year without any drama or unwanted attention, especially from Peyton Mitchell. They weren't exactly enemies, but they certainly weren't friends either. An incident in the eighth grade shortly after Zara had transferred to Braidwood High School had caused the rift between the pair, and they've barely spoken a word to each other since. It was common knowledge amongst the students that Peyton disliked Zara, and though she was never certain exactly why, she wasn't in a rush to confront Peyton to find out.

Peyton Mitchell is intimidating, popular, and proud. Captain of the school soccer team and all round athletic super star. Her reputation is unscathed, except for one incident in the eighth grade when new student at the time, Zara McMann, beat her to first place in the 100m sprint at the schools athletics carnival. Since then, Peyton has made it her mission to put Zara in her place; second.

When a contagious and deadly virus quickly overwhelms their small town of Braidwood, Zara and Peyton are forced into lockdown together indefinitely. Will their time together spark arguments and deeper hatred, or will it spark something else?
