Logan

(2 weeks later)

Good and bad news for you guys. Mrs. Patterson is recovering beautifully. Slowly- but beautifully. Her last radiation is in a few weeks, just before Valentine's.

Our schools trip to Barcelona for the first time in years includes most football players.

We were in the middle of championships for the state, thinking we would win, but I'm afraid we lost big time.

I kid you not- this is the second time our school actually gets to go to state play-offs this far during my four years in college.

Last year we went all the way past the second game, but our team lost big time to a school in the northern part of Tennessee.

We were on our fourth game going strong towards the middle of January when I sprained my ankle mid-game. From there, it went downhill. We lost the game, and then more.

So now that the year is officially over for us- for now! Coach announced the school to move forward with the trip to Barcelona.

It's awesome out here.

We have been out here for ten days. Two more days before we head back to the U.S.

At first, we were given a sheet with all the sights and areas we were supposed to go out, explore, and write a little something about and turn it into our professors when we came back to the hotel room.

Steven decided not to come to the trip, or more like he wasn't allowed to. He was failing a class and was not allowed to go by his mom. I told him it would happen- asshole didn't believe me. His mom is extremely cautious with his academia.

Sophie and I have gotten along really well. Since my ankle is still a bit sore, she refuses to leave my side. She will walk next to me without letting me exhaust myself and makes sure I don't get hurt.

I gotta say that I love the treatment. Maybe I should have sprained my ankle sooner? I love all the attention she's giving me.

Also, Dylan and Troy are doing great if you need to know. They didn't come to the trip either, but Sophie and I skype with them every night, or morning, whatever the time is over there now.

Now for the bad news, I told you there'd be good and bad.

Mom's case is not looking good. Dad has a lot under his wing, and is making her look real bad in front of the judge. We had a hearing already and it made mom look like she neglects Ashley all the time since she's always busy with her catering business. Dad also blamed her for child endangerment because she likes helping out and says she enslaved Ash by making her work without pay.

It's bad. It's really bad.

But it's not over yet! Dad hasn't claimed victory yet so, whatever.

Anyway, another bad news. Though Y and Dylan are doing great, things are not so great all the time.

Since T has come out, and word got out that he and Dylan are dating, they have been harassed and bullied by many students in and out of school.

T tried to play it cool with our last conversation but Sophie was able to see the bruise on his jaw.

When I talked to Dylan one on one, he clarified that T had been attacked by some assholes while walking to his car after having dinner with Dylan's dad the other night.

I can't wait to go back home. I want to find out who the hell it was that attacked him and beat the crap out of them.

Also, another bad news, Ashley has been living with dad for the past three days.

I almost flipped when mom told me.

Though it was a decision shade to try and ease the tension between my parents, I still got pretty upset. She has refused my calls and text messages, and even when I've called dad, she doesn't want to talk to me. She's making me so mad for doing this.

I can't wait to go back home. I need to sort all this out fast.

On the bright side of it all, Sophie brightens my day. She knows exactly what to do or say to make all my troubles go away. I missed her so much.

I'm glad she handmade her come. This trip would not have been the same without her here.

"Come in T, you look fine. Leave your hair alone already." T has been eyeing his hair for the past twenty minutes.

We have a fair at school today to raise money for our prom this year. There will be a hit of everything; goes, food, music, but what everyone mostly looks forward to each year, the kissing booth, and the wedding chapel.

We get to pretend to get married to our best friend or loved one. We get to sign our names on a cute certificate with the fake gold wedding rings and we even get a picture taken that goes on the school's yearbook.

I of course plan on dragging Logan there. I think it would be cute.

"Ok, ok, let's go." Troy finally got off my mirror and we headed downstairs where Dylan and Logan are busy beating my brothers at a combat game.

"Ready guys?" I asked making Logan stop in his track and stands with a smile. His mouth gawks open as he sees my smokey eye shadow makeup and floral romper. Winter didn't want to stick around for too long, and it was getting a bit warm.

Though, it was still pretty cold in the afternoons so I paired my romper with a fitted cardigan in a tan color.

"Wow, you look beautiful baby girl." He says pulling my arm and capturing my lips as I crash onto his chest.

We made our way to the fair and played different games, rode on various rides, and ate so much fair food.

Needless to say, Logan did not do the kissing booth this year. And by that- I mean he didn't work the kissing booth. He gets set up to be one of the guys that work the kissing booth each year.

This year, he said the only lips he wants on him are mine. I have no problem with that at all. Though it did make me blush when he said it.

"Hey, there's the little wedding chapel, how about it?" He says making me feel taken back.

Here I was thinking I had to drag him to do it, and he's the one suggesting it.

"Really?" I asked ecstatically. He smiles, unwilling to let go of my hand, winks an eye, and nods towards it.

"Why not? You only get married once, you know.. . or. . . so I heard.?" He clears his throat and smiles.

I smile and nod, biting my lower lip.

"Ok," I respond making him smile from ear to ear. "Great, let's go." He says pulling me towards it.

We waited in line while joking around and goofing around. I love that he can make me feel so at ease around him. It makes me forget all the problems we ate both facing lately.

I know he misses Ashley., and I really miss her too. I hope she comes back soon.

"Come on, our turn," he says hugging me by my waist and halting me up causing me to squeal.

"Hi, guys. Please sign here, and here. It will be five dollars for the gold rings or three dollars for the copper. Which one do you guys want?" Mackenzie asks with a smile.

Logan looks at me, takes out a fifty-dollar bill, and suggests for her to come forward to him. He whispers in her ear making me feel awkward.

She smiles and waves towards the girl on the other side where the pictures are taken and nods her way.

"Come on. Let's go take our picture?"_He asks with a cheeky smile making me giggle.

"You're up to something, aren't you?" I ask him making him throw his hands up in denial.

We go forward and get the little tiny props with the veil and flowers and pose for the picture, then we say a small vow and I gasp when Logan takes out a small box with matching rings inside.

"I know this isn't an actual wedding. Trust me, you deserve so much more Soph. But, these are promise rings. A single of my commitment to you is that no matter what, I will always stick by your side. I will try and be a reasonable boyfriend and be there for you whenever you need me. You make me want to better myself every single day. I will be there through the good, the bad, and the worst. You make me want to better myself every single day, and for that- I am so. Thankful to you baby girl. So thankful." By the time his little speech was over, I was in tears.

My heart raised at a million per second and I had no words to say other than throwing myself at him.

"You're the best boyfriend in the world, you know that?

We exchanged rings and spent the rest of the fair together, or at least until night when we went to eat at Maggie's cafe and our friends took over our dinner. I happily showed off my ring making Lexie gasp.

"It's so beautiful. God, I wish I had my Greek God here with me. We could have gotten married too and had a cute ceremony with the exchange of rings."ย  We both giggled as we sat next to one another.

"So, Logan, how's the leg man?" Steven asks him as he sits next to him and taps on his foot lightly.

"Better, thanks to my own personal nurse." He says grabbing me by my waist and placing a kiss on my lips.

I turned slightly to the side and noticed Amber outside with a guy I had seen working at the new construction site by our new cabins. She looked like she was smiling a lot. And in all honesty, I hoped that their relationship would take off beautifully so that we could finally have peace.
