In the middle of the night, in the middle of the night,  just call my name, I'm yours to tame ~ Elley Duhé

The rumbling thunder cracked like a whip through the crisp air. I jolted from my sleep, sitting up straight. A dark figure stood by my bed and an ear splitting scream erupted from my throat.

Am I going to die? Is this one of those demons who visited you in your dreams and scares the shit out of you for fun?

My screams were muffled from the hand covering my mouth. I panicked and tried to bite the hand but ended up hyperventilating. "Shit Aniya, breathe," spoke a hushed voice.

My shoulders were shaken and I felt like crying. "Please just leave me alone, I'll be a good person from now on I promise." I cried. I clapped my hands together, begging for forgiveness.

"Aniya, open your eyes!"

I peeled an eye open, my bottom lip trembling. I blinked. "Victor?"

"Yes," he sighed, letting go of my shoulders. My eyes focused in the dark. I looked around the room in confusion. "What are you doing in here?" I coughed.

"You were making weird noises in your sleep," he said looking over my face. "I could hear you all the way from my room. It's annoying."

"Sorry," I looked down at my sheets. The thunder continued to get louder at each second. I clutched onto my covers and pulled them over my body. Silent light streaked through the air occasionally.

Victor got up to move but out of reflexes I grabbed onto his shirt. He turns to me with a tired expression on his face, "what now?"

I let go of his shirt and brought my hand back to my side, "nothing, nothing" I bit my lip, peering out the window.

"No you already stopped me, what is it? You're scared of the thunder," he chuckled at the last part.

"No-," a deafening strike of thunder shook the room. I shrieked, jumping a little too hard. "Okay maybe I am." I look up at him, light flashing on his face every few minutes. "Can you just stay with me for a bit? You've woken me up and now I won't be able to sleep again." I huffed, giving him the best sad eyes I could manage.

Victor rolled his eyes before taking a seat on the bed where my feet were at. He laid down horizontally, his hands behind his head. "I'm not staying all night," he blew a puff of air.

"Thanks," I squeaked.

The room became quiet again, the only sound coming from outside. "Victor," I whispered.

No answer.

I sat up in my bed, "Victor," I tried again.

"What?" He muttered.

I picked at the hem of my shirt, "don't you want to sit up here. I mean your legs are hanging off the bed."

"I'm ok."

"Yeah, but your blood circulation could get cut off and then you won't be able to walk properly. And what if I kick you? You are right by my feet, I may yawn and accidentally stretch my foot and hit you in the-"

My words were cut off as he got up from the bed and walked to the opposite side of it. He flopped down on the bed now laying next to me. "Can you please stop talking now that I moved," he glared tiredly at me.

"Yeah sure." I shrugged. I twiddled my fingers under the covers as he sat next to me with his eyes closed.

"Victor."

"Aniya."

"Yes?"

"What did I say about talking?"

"I know but I was just going to ask you if you were cold-"

"Alright that's it, I think you should be fine on your own now." He pushed himself off the bed and strolled to the door.

I sprinted after him, "No, wait. Don't leave me alone." I was walking across my bed when I slipped on the edge trying to reach out to him.

I collided into his back and we both went crashing to the floor. He let out a deep "oof" when I landed on top of him.

"Oh my god, I am so so so sorry." I apologized over and over again. His eyes met mine and scanned the rest of our position. I could feel my cheeks get hot when I realized I was sitting on him with only a pair of small shorts on.

He rolled his head all the way back on the floor, leaving his neck exposed. I could promptly see his adams apple and had a certain urge to touch it. My finger traces the skin lightly, and it immediately tensed under me.

Victor gulped, his adams apple bobbing up and down. "Aniya," his voice came out hoarse and dark. "You have five seconds to get off of me."

For some reason the words didn't register in my brain as we made eye contact again. My mouth parted slightly and his eyes dropped down to them. The pit of my stomach began to burn in a way that was scary and exciting at the same time. Goosebumps rose upon my skin in anticipation.

In a swift motion, I was under Victor and he was on top of me. His lips connected with mine hastily and a firm hand wrapped around the base of my neck. Something about this kiss burned, it heightened my senses chillingly, and sent an earth plunging gust of air to my diaphragm that knocked all the breath out of me.

I whimpered as our mouths collided against each other's, he bit my bottom lip softly and I let his tongue snake into my mouth easily. My hands reached up to grab onto his silky hair, strands slipping through my fingers effortlessly.

He grunted against my mouth before moving to the corner of my lips and across my jawline. I panted, my chest heaving up and down. His eyes flicked up to me and I wanted to melt the way those grey eyes stared deeply into me.

Another strike of thunder boomed through the air catching me by surprise. I let out a sudden scream that was covered by Victors mouth in a quick second. "Shh," he whispered in my ear. "You're going to wake everyone up."

I gulped, my voice raspy, "sorry." I whispered. My heart was beating erratically, the sound of blood pumping hummed in my ears. He pecked my lips before falling down beside me on the floor.

The sounds of our heavy breathing and the now calm storm drifted in the room. "Victor?"

"Yes Aniya."

"This is like our third time kissing." I stated awkwardly. My hands were intertwined and resting on my stomach.

"Yeah, I know." He ran a hair through his hair. He blew a puff of air from his flushed cheeks.

"Why? I thought you hated me?" I stared up at the ceiling. Keeping my eyes focused on one single spot. I could feel his eyes on me but I wasn't brave enough to look into them right now.

"I thought we had this conversation already," he sighed. He too was staring up at the ceiling now.

"Yeah, but sometimes you act like a asshole and say rude things. Then you kiss me like those words never came out you mouth." I confessed.

There was a long silence before he spoke again. "I don't hate you Aniya," his lips twisted in thought. "I just don't always say the right things when I'm around you." He barely whispered.

My heart cracked a little at his words. "You seem to say all the right things with Jessie or anyone else." I scoffed.

"Jessie's different. She's too nice and polite when she talks to me. It's like talking to a robot sometimes."

I giggled at the thought of Jessie as a robot. I don't think she's too polite, just nice. Maybe tries a little too hard around Victor but overall nice. That's why it's so hard for anyone to hate her.

"Do you like her?" I asked nervously. I closed my eyes and turned my head as I awaited his answer.

"No," he said, breaking any type of shield I was beginning to build around my heart. "She's just a friend to me, a sister maybe."

"Oh." A small smile found its way to my face. My smile soon turned into a frown, well who does he like?

Victor sat up, leaning on his elbow. "You can be pretty clueless sometimes." My breath hitched as he lightly dragged a finger down my arm.

My eyes widened in shock. "What do you mean clueless? Are you calling me dumb again?" I narrowed my eyes.

"No, that's not what I mean. We've kissed three times already. I don't think you realize, but you're the only girl I've willingly kissed Aniya. When have you even seen or heard about me with a girl?"

My mind ticked back to all the times Victor rejected any girl that approached him. My eyebrows furrowed, somehow not wanting to believe or assume what he was saying. "Meaning..."

"Meaning, I like you." He rolled his eyes softly, taking my hand and untangling it from the other. His eyes dropped to our conjoined hands as they intertwined. "Only you."

I swear my heart stopped for a full second. My ears couldn't believe what they were hearing. I looked around wondering if I was stuck in some kind of fantasy dream but nothing was letting out. I gulped, "you're serious?"

"Deadly." He looked out my window, the sky was getting lighter and it was no longer pitch black dark. My eyes stayed glued to our hands. His thumb rubbed circles on the back of my hand soothingly.

"I'm going to bed, the storm has stopped. You can go back to sleep." I nodded mindlessly as he let go of my hand and stood up. I stayed in my spot on the floor and watched him walk out with a "goodnight."

Once the door closed behind him I ran to my nearest pillow and screamed in it. I screamed two more times before I could actually come into reality. I laid back on my bed, astonished.

My pre alarms I set for four am went off. Lord knows I can't get up with the first one. I had a shift today at Citrus and my mom doesn't like to deal with tardiness. Not even if I am her daughter. I jumped to turn the loud blare off.

My camera app opened from a slip of the finger and my face popped up on the screen. Usually I would love seeing my face, but my eyes widened when I saw it this time. My lips were puffy and my hair was a mess. Little red marks lined the side of my jaw where Victor nipped me. I grumbled to myself and ended getting up earlier than I planned to this morning.

I love how this is the 27th part and it's the 27th and my birthday hahaha <3

Also as for updating I'll try my best to update within 1-3 days !! I have school and other things to do at home but I'll always try to update when I can!! Thanks for your patience !
