Pacify her
She's getting on my nerves You don't love her
Stop lying with those words ~ Melanie Martinez

I think the adrenaline pumping through my veins gave out as soon as we sat down at the restaurant's table. We sat at a lovely table for six. Upbeat music played throughout the room setting a lively mood.

Lilly blabbered to Bryant as soon as we sat down. Bryant leveled his eyes playfully as she continued to drown out his left ear. Quinn entered into a conversation with Victor. I kept my eyes on those two in case Quinn says anything embarrassing about me. Dinner went smoothly otherwise.

I laughed quietly at the conversation between Lilly, Declan, and Bryant. Lilly and Declan fought as always over something stupid. Bryant interjected with a random saying confusing the two every now and then.

When our delicious meals arrived Lilly teased me about always getting chicken tenders even at a nice restaurant. To that I scowled at her; the heat rising up the side of my neck. I told her to mind her own and continued eating my food.

You can never go wrong with chicken tenders.

After dinner, we were told to go back to the bus we first went in, and Quinn, Victor, and I parted ways with Declan, Bryant, and Lilly. The ride to the resort was silent as everyone was exhausted from the labor performed today.

I yawned sleepily when the bus came to a stop. The teachers promptly dismissed each row one by one. When it was our turn to leave, I stood up and bent over to grab my bag.

My back bumped against something hard as I stood straight. I blushed as I instantly realized it was Victor's chest. "Sorry," I hastily said stepping out to the aisle. Victor didn't say anything following after me.

After grabbing my luggage, I caught up with Quinn and walked into the lobby with her. Blue light glowed from inside the white interior of the lobby. Black and white leather couches we scattered around the room. Coffee tables were placed in the center with decorative lanterns as centerpieces.

No wonder this trip cost so much; most of it was going to the resort.

A lady in her navy uniform sat behind the desk. Her hand gripped a pen in her hand as she scribbled something down on a piece of paper.
I sat down on one of the couches as the teachers went to check us in. Another desk was beside hers and on the other side sat identical desks next to each other. I blew a puff of air as I took in the entryway. One thing I'm gratified about is signing up for a room with Lilly and Quinn.

At least I got that part right.

Lilly joined us later and soon our names were called. Mrs. Darby gave us our room keys, and we happily left for our room. I poked the inside of my cheek with my tongue as we entered the elevator to floor three.

Once we reached our room, I collapsed on one of the made beds. I heard a slight giggle from across the room as my heavy eyelids shut.

"Aniya, wake up." My shoulders shook violently.

I jerked in my sleep sitting upwards. Lilly hovered, her legs straddling mine. She was not dressed in her school clothes anymore. A red top with lace along the V neck, paired with light blue jeans and some hoop earrings. Her hair was slicked back into a low ponytail that went to her shoulders.

I gently rubbed my eyes. "Why are you so dressed up?" Her eyes widened as she backed away from the bed. She put her hand on her hip and pursed her lips.

"You don't remember? The teachers arranged to reserve a party room for us."

I squinted and blinked a few times. "Party?"

"Mhm," Quinn poked her head out of the bathroom. Her hair was set in a bun with wisps of hair hanging; framing her face. She was wearing a black top and a plaid black and white skirt. She turned to spit in the sink and rinsed her mouth, putting her toothbrush back in her bag.

"Come on we plan on slipping out later on."

I nodded my head easing off the bed. "Give me a minute."

Half an hour later I emerged from the bathroom a red silky blouse tied in a knot just above my belly button, paired with black ripped jeans. I let my hair out of its ponytail. My curls cascaded down my back; promptly stopping below my shoulders at my bra strap.

I grabbed my jacket and bag and joined the girls at the door. "Cute," Quinn smirked, checking my appearance.

"You too," I said looking down at her outfit again. I slipped my white sneakers on, and we went down the hall to the elevator. The typical hotel smell made me anxious as we found the door to our destination.

The room was huge. Blue and purple lights shone over the students. Modern music played loudly, but no one was dancing. My eyes squinted as I looked around some more. "Where are the teachers?" There was not one teacher insight. It was like they were practically begging for their students to get into some trouble of their own.

Lilly looked over the room shrugging her shoulders. "Hm, maybe they didn't want to be a part of this. I heard they ditched us for the pool." She leaned in closer at the last part.

Of course, they did.

The party was pretty lame, not going to lie. Very few students attended and the songs playing weren't even that good. People came in leaving shortly after. A kid who thought he was being sly spiked the punch bowl in the corner. I scoffed as he walked away; confident no one saw him.

"Can we leave now?"

Quinn nodded. "We're waiting on Declan, I promised him to meet us here." I rolled my eyes leaning against the painted wall. I crossed my arms and closed my eyes.

"Hey, Beautiful."

I jerked my head to the voice by my ear. Bryant stood beside me with a wide grin on his beautiful face. I raised my eyebrows, crossing my arms. "Hello Handsome," I said, easing off the wall. "What brings you here?"

He cocked his head towards Declan's direction. He was standing next to Victor engaging in a conversation with the girls. He lazily had an arm draped around a blushing Quinn's shoulder. "Your friend."

"You're in the same room as him?" I cocked an eyebrow.

He nodded. "He invited me, and I had to get Victor so I could drag his ass with us." '

I chuckled slightly. "That must have been hard." Victor stood silently, his hands stuffed into the pocket of his pants.

"Very."

"What are you guys talking about," Lilly butted in nudging Bryant to the side. Bryant narrowed his eyes at her flipping his middle finger, as she stared directly at me.

I straightened up. "Nothing concerning you," amusement lacing my voice.

She pouted. "Whatever we're ready to go."

I raised an eyebrow. "Where to?"

"The city, duh." She rolled her eyes, snatching my hand and yanking me. "Let's go!" I yelped as she dragged me to the door.

We fled the room and squeezed into an elevator. I blushed to myself thinking about all the times I've been in that small elevator with Victor. I glanced over at him. He was in the other corner staring straight ahead. My eyes traveled down to his fit. A casual black dress shirt clung to his muscles, the sleeves rolled up to his elbow. He paired it with dark jeans.

I looked away at the sound of a ding from the elevator. Luckily for us, the lobby appeared empty for the moment. We took our chance and hurriedly exited the automatic doors.

The night was tranquil and dark outside. The soft wind whipped around us gently fluffing our hair. The city lights shined from afar. I looked around as if we were in the middle of nowhere. "So geniuses how are we going to get there?" I pointed to buildings with glittering lights.

A white SUV pulled up to the curb. My mouth parted in mild shock.

"An uber, what else," Lilly said walking towards the car. We followed behind her as she displayed her screen to the driver. She nodded and beckoned for us to climb in with her hand. Lilly flings open the passenger's door, while the rest went in the back.

"When did you order an Uber?" I asked.

"About ten minutes ago," Lilly smilingly replied.

I huffed, sitting between Bryant and Quinn. I crossed my arms over my chest and looked out the window. My attention swayed over to Quinn as she sat quietly in her chair. She scrolled on her phone barely paying any attention to where we were going. She seems pretty calm considering all this may come down harder on her than any of us if we got caught.

A few minutes later we were in the city itself. Lilly thanked our driver and she drove off. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that we were out here right now and not back at the resort. We were dropped off on a random street by a tattoo place.

I turned to Quinn who was rubbing her arms due to the slight breeze blowing. I nudged her with my jacket, and she gladly took it with a thankful smile. I'm wearing long sleeves, so I'll be fine for now. The flickering lights from a tattoo shop's sign captured my attention.

"Hey, guys do you want to get matching tattoos?" I asked.

"NO," a bunch of voices answered instantly.

I shrugged disappointed. I was feeling like doing something wild, crazy, and new but these bozos have no sense of humor. "It would have been cool," I huffed.

"Sounds like the beginning of a cult." An amused deep voice rasped from behind me.

I turned around putting my hands on my hips. "And what's wrong with starting a cult?" I grinned, I wouldn't mind being the founder of one.

"What's not wrong with starting a cult?" Victor pointed out, raising his eyebrows.

I sighed. "You guys are no fun, if you were going to drag me out here we should at least do something."

Lilly snorted. "No one dragged you out here. You willingly came on your own without asking questions."

I rolled my eyes. "Same thing. Can we get something to eat?" I asked, rubbing my belly; it rumbled under my touch. "I'm hungry."

"Yeah me too," Declan said copying my actions. I grinned, happy that I wasn't the only one.

"You guys can go ahead," Bryant said. "I'm not hungry."

"Yea," Lilly joined in "We can meet up back here just give us a call when you're done."

I nodded approvingly grabbing Declan's arm. "Come on, I'm in the mood for pizza."

"Victor, why don't you go with them."

I snapped my eyes to Quinn who had a smirk tugging on the corner of her glossy lips. I looked at her questioningly, but she just shrugged it off.

"I'm not hungry," Victor said, stuffing his hands into his pockets. My eyes slid between the two wondering what was going on in Quinn's mind.

"I know, but we should split up in equal numbers just in case something happens and it's not just those two alone." She said, clearly pulling that one out of her ass.

My eyes narrowed at her statement but widened when Victor just shrugged and said "Ok." He crossed over to our side. We stared back at the people left in front of us.

"Great, we'll meet back here later," Quinn said saluting and then walking off in the opposite direction with Bryant and Lilly. The three chuckled as they were on in some little joke and broke the corner.

"So..." Declan awkwardly said. "Pizza?"

I nodded, gulping down my nerves; I wasn't expecting Victor to join us. "Yup." We walked down the street till we reached the pizza place with bright orange and green signs. Declan and I walked side by side while Victor trailed behind.

"Are you sure you don't want anything?" I asked Victor. He sat across from me on the small table. His forearm rested on the smooth surface while the other held his head up. His knuckles pressed against his lips. He shook his head and I hummed as Declan returned with our orders.

I sighed as the inviting smell of cheese and freshly baked bread entered my senses. A smile grew on my face, and I grabbed the shaker filled with parmesan. I sprinkled a hefty amount and dug in.

"What's the point of putting more cheese on top of cheese?" Declan raised an eyebrow, sliding a slice of cheese pizza in his big ass mouth.

"What's the point of getting pizza without any toppings?" I retorted back.

Declan's face soured. "You know I don't like meat on my pizza along with pineapple."

I gasped, turning to him. "You don't like pineapple?"

"I do just not on my pizza," He grimaced.

"I don't think we can be friends anymore. "

"That's fine with me," Declan grinned and I laughed pushing him away. It was then I remembered we had someone else with us. I turned to Victor who was looking between the two of us.

"She always laughs that ugly don't ask about it," Declan said, flipping his wrist.

"Your the one to talk you laugh like a fucking hyena, how do you do that?"

"You know what, maybe we shouldn't be friends after all," Declan turned grumpily, chomping his food.

"He can be a big crybaby sometimes," I told Victor. He looked between the two of us again and a ghost of a smile appearing on his face. It left as soon as it came but I saw it. I looked elsewhere as I felt my cheeks started to heat.

Chill out Aniya he barely smiled.

A few minutes later we were done eating and we met back with the others. We were just walking down the street now. Lilly came back with bags full of something she won't tell me about. She stopped us again dragging us into this huge store.

She ran off on her own; apparently knowing where she was going. I sat down with Quinn by the front while the boys stood to the side. "Do you know what she's looking for?"

Quinn shrugged tiredly. "I don't know she's been in and out of stores since you guys left for food."

Lilly came back around the corner pulling my arm. I gasped as she took me to the other side of the store. We stopped at an aisle filled with beautiful, might I say expensive dresses. She held up a hanger holding the article of clothing up to my body.

"Try this on," she said pushing me into the dressing room. I blinked with my hands clutching the dress. The door closed and the sound of her footsteps faded away.

Ok... I thought as I started unbuckling my jeans.
