I'm trying my best to stay on top of the updates but I'm lacking because of college and work. I've literally got three assignments due in 2 weeks and I've only started one. I've got two exam in January so I'm preparing for them as-well. So sorry about the late updates but I'm trying my best.

Life throws many struggles in your way. You just have to take them on, one at a time.

"Hurry up," I tell him as we walk up the Collin mansion stairs. Nothing looks different, nothing has changed, apart from the people.

"I'm going as fast as I can." He spits out.

"You know I didn't want to hurt you, but I have to show Angelo that I'm serious," I say as I look at his bruised face.

"Whatever." He says and walks through the doors with me behind him. We were greeted by a few people.

But the one thing I was looking for wasn't here. Until Angelo clicked his fingers. A tall buff guy walked in behind him with her.

"Ivy," I whisper.

"You hurt him?" Angelo growls.

Levi was about to step forward but a hand stopped him. Zacks mothers hand. She stared at me in disgust.

"Take him and give me her," I say and push Zack forward. "And if you don't then I'll put a bullet through his brain."

"No, you wouldn't," Angelo says.

"Try me," I say staring at him, the silence was irritating. Until the sounds of a cry fill it. Angelo nods his head in my direction as Zack reaches him, the buff guy begins to walk up to me.

Just as he places my baby girl in my arms, a gun is pointed to my head. I look up to see Angelo smirking.

"I said I wouldn't kill her. Didn't say anything about you." He chuckles.

"Angelo, what are you doing?" Levi asks him rushed out.

"You see, I was prepared for this exact moment," I say as I pull out a remote with a red button.

"You have less than 10 mins to leave here, or else everything you own blows up into pieces." I shrug. "Working James taught me a lot more, it taught me to be ready for anything and everything and you Angelo, will take any opportunity to try and kill me and as far as I know, you wouldn't want to kill your pregnant mistress currently sitting in your house would you?"

"You little bitch." He stalks up to me and pushes me again the wall. I tighten the hold on ivy as rage fills his face, I could practically see the steam coming out of his ears. His hand wraps around my throat tightly, blocking off my airways. My only concern right now was not dropping ivy.

"I will kill you." He spits out.

"Try me bastard." I choke out and knee him in the balls before kicking him back with all my force. In an instant, a gun is against his temple. Carters back is facing me as he points the gun at him.

"Leave, now." His voice was terrifying. It was cold, distant, deathly.

"I'll be back and I will end you, Sophia. You might have lover boy protecting you right now, but not for long." He spits and walks out, glaring at me as if he's wanting to kill me with his eyes.

Carter turns around and takes my face in his hands and inspects my neck which looks kind of bruised up, I wince as he applies a bit of pressure.

"I'll be fine." I croak out and let his hand drop from my face. He looks down at her in my arms.

"She's beautiful." He breathes out.

I nod, agreeing with me. "She is, just like her father."

"She's yours?" He asks, his brows furrowed.

I bite my lip and nod staring down at my little girl. Fatigue and tiredness taking over my body. He notices this and holds my shoulder slightly. "You need to rest." He says.

I take a step back from his hold. "I'm off home, tonight."

"It's not safe for you in New York." He argues.

"It's not safe for me anywhere."

"He's right Sophia, New York is now a dangerous city for you to be in," Levi says.

"As much as I don't like you right now, I agree with them," Zack says holding an ice pack to his face.

"New York is-"

"Your home. We know." Carter cuts me off. "But it's not safe for you or for your. . . Daughter." He finishes.

"For the last 10 months, I was fine and I was on my own. I'll be fine."

"Please stay Sophia. Levi, Zack and his mother are staying at my house. It's got top security, so Angelo won't be able to hurt you there. If you look around this house, you'll realise a few things are missing, we all moved." He sighs. "Mom, dad, my brothers, everyone, we all live together now. And it's all for our safety."

"Only until this whole Angelo thing blows over," I say and walk out the door.

"I missed you baby girl," I whisper and smile down at my daughter.
