• C O L L E G E  P A R T Y •

All the boys stand outside the office while I go inside to talk to Eliza about the party. Carter, Caden, Eli and Danny are going. I have to ask Eliza first, the boys all say that she won't let me go.

"Wish me good luck" I mumble before knocking and hearing a come in. I walk in to see her sitting at her desk with glasses on. "Hey Sophia" she said smiling to me.

"Hey Eliza, I'm going to a party tonight with the boys, I just thought of letting you know" I said alright out. "Okay, have fun" she said smiling to me. I smirked walking out. "What did she say?" Danny asked me. "You already know what she said, so why ask" I huffed out. "I'll be in the lounge at 7:30" I added walking upstairs to take a shower.

I took a quick shower and did all the necessary things. I put on a oversized t-shirt, walking. Out the bathroom dying my hair with a towel. Caden was sitting on my bed. "What are doing here?" I asked him grabbing my robe and putting it on. "My mom told me to give you this" he said giving me a black box.

"Thanks" I said smiling at him before started to walk out. "Oh and Sophie" he said. "Yeah" I asked turning around. "Don't wear too much make up, you don't need it" he said walking out leaving me there confused. Did Caden just call be beautiful.

Me and Caden have hardly spoken much. I'm much closer to Danny, Carter, Noah and Mason. Maybe Eli, but a only a little bit. I shrugged closing my door and walking into my closet to find something to wear.

I decided to wear shoulder less black dress which reached mid thigh. I curled my hair and did a smokey eyes with a nude pink lip. I put on my heels and chocked. I grabbed my clutch and put my phone and some money in there just in case. I put in my studs and I was done.

I took the elevator downstairs and waited in the lounge for the boys since I was the first here. It was 7:30pm on the clock. I plopped down on the coach and played games on my phone.

There was a stood of feet coming trudging down the stairs and then I heard a low whistle. I look up to see Danny and Caden standing there with Eli. Danny was wearing dark wash blue jeans as was Caden and Eli. Danny had on a black t-shirt, while Caden and Eli had on a white on.

"I gotta say you boys clean up nice" I said standing up walking over to them and watch how there eyes take in my body. "Where's Carter?" I asked. "Taking the car out" Eli replied.

I shrugged of my jacket and threw it on the sofa. I walked past them and swayed my hips a little more on purpose. "Come boys lets go" I yelled for them as I walked threw the door and outside to see Carter leaning on the Camaro.

Carters eyes met mine and his eyes raped my body. "Eyes up here boy" I said clicking my fingers in front of him. "You look hot" he said smirking at me. "Can say the same thing to you too. Mr badass" I said looking at what's he's wearing. Black jeans with a white t-shirt which shows his abs and black leather jacket.

"But you know something" I said walking closer to him so are noses were touching. I felt his breath hitch. I saw him open and close his eyes. My finger trail down his jawline and down his chest. "Your not getting me" I whisper in his ear before opening the passenger and getting in leaving him all flustered.

"I will get you back for what you did" Carter whispered in my ear from the drivers side as he got in with he other three in the back. I just smirked seeing his bludge.

We pulled up at the party and the house was big. Music blasting from inside. We parked the across the street. I opened the door and got out. The others did too. I walked forward not waiting for them. I heard wolf whistles but I just ignored and walked in.

I decided to find the kitchen since I need a drink and I'm definitely not a light drinker. I grabbed a cup and filled in with some alcohol and drowned it. The cup got snatched out of my hands. I turn to see it's in Carters hands. "You can have it, its empty" I said taking another cup filling it up and walking off.

"Hey Danny" I said walking up to him and his friends I think. I placed my arm on his shoulder. "Who's this hot chick?" A dark haired boy asked Danny. "Names Sophia" I replied for Danny.

"Nice name" he said. "Thanks, what's yours?" I asked him. "Layne" he replied. He's eyes looked behind me. I turned to see Carter walking up to us.

"Carter man, I haven't seen you since Wednesday, you didn't even come into school on Thursday or Friday" a blond haired boy said giving Carter a bro hug.

"Cole, I was busy" Carter replied. "Chris, Brandon, Layne" Carter said nodded to them all. I turned my head a little to see a man dragging a girl upstairs it looked forceful.

The man saw me looking, he gave me death glare and expected me to look away but I didn't. He didn't scare me. He cocked a brow up and stopped on the stairs. I saw the girl looked confused as to why he stopped.

She turned and saw my eyes. Our eyes connected briefly before he dragged her upstairs. She had tears falling down and was screaming but no one could hear because of the music was so loud.

I felt my breathing become heavy. I had to do something. I remember when something like this happened to me at a party. I ran towards the stairs ignoring the guys calling me. I ran up the stairs and saw a bedroom door close.

I walked to it and tried to open the door but it was locked. "What hell Sophia, why'd you run off for?" Carter yelled pulling my arm turning me around. "Open the door, or break it" I yelled at him. All the other guys came here too including Caden and Eli. "Why?" He asked me confused.

"Just do it, trust me" I said to him pleading him with my eyes. "Stand back" he said. I stood back and watched him kicked the door down. I walked into the room to see the girl tied up to the bed with a cloth in her mouth and the guy taking her dress off her but he froze as soon as the door broke down.

The girl had tears on her face. The guy took a gun out and pointed it at us. Carter pushed me behind him. I pushed him out my way and beside him instead. "I knew you would come up here" he said with sickening smile.

"Your sick, you do know that's-" I said pointing to the girl "-classed as rape" I yelled at him. Moving forward slightly but Carter grabbed my arm "don't go forward, he got a gun, are you blind?" he shouted at me. I just shook my head with a humourless laugh.

"Do you really thing he's going to shoot?" I asked him. "He practically shaking and hasn't even got his finger on the trigger" I added on. I moved forward towards the girl. The guy moved back. I untied the girl and I got her up and helped her with her clothes.

I turned around and the girl started walking towards the door. I felt something cold on the back of neck. I stopped but pushed the girl to Caden, he instantly caught her.

"Put the gun down" Carter said slowly. "No way, she ruined my fun, now she's going to entertain me" he said in a low tone which sent shivers down my spine.

"Get ready boys" I said to them all. They all looked at me confused. I elbowed the guy in the gut and the boys went into action instantly. Carter grabbed me in a hug while the rest of guys keep that guy down.

"You could of got yourself killed" Carter whisper-yelled at me. "But I'm okay" I said to him. A few minutes later the police came here and arrested the guy for having a gun in position with out legal authority.

"Wait a minute" I said to the officer. I walked up to guys my punched him hard and heard a crack. "You Bitch" he yelled out in pain. I shrugged,"you deserve it" I said smiling at him like a crazy woman.

The police officers took the guy away and the smile feel off my face when I saw the girl in Cadens arms crying. I know what it would feel like almost getting raped. "What's your name?" I asked in a small voice. "Layla" she replied. I grabbed her and pulled her in my arms.

"Who did you come to this party with?" I asked her. "My friend Amber, she brought me here saying that I should have fun" she said whimpering slightly. "Does she have blond hair?" I asked her thinking of amber Carters bimbo.

"Yeah, she gave me a drink and then I felt a little dizzy and weak and then I'm being dragged upstairs. When he stopped on the stairs I thought he was letting me go, but then I saw he was looking at you" she hiccuping though out.

"It's alright. Calm down" I said soothing her hair till she stopped crying. "Caden take her home please?" I asked him and he nodded in response.

Caden took Layla saying he will get a taxi. "I'm going home" I said turning around to see Carter and Danny standing there. I think the others guys went home.

"Lets go" Carter said emotionless. "I'm staying for a bit, I will get a ride home" Danny said. Carter grabbed my arm dragging me down the stairs."Carter your hurting me" I said trying to get out of his hold but he just tightened it.

I felt a cool breeze on skin and shivered from the cold air. But Carter just pulled me to the car and shoved me in there. I rubbed my wrist from where Carter was holding me. It was red.

Carter got in and started the car and started driving home, fast. "Carter" I warned watching the speed limit rise. "Carter slow down" I yelled at him. I clutched on to my seat for dear life.

I remember when he did this once. Driving at full speed and crashed. "Carter pease slow down" I begged him. I closed my eyes and just waited till we were home. The car came to halt. I opened my eyes to see we were parked outside the gates. He put the pin in and pulled up outside the house.

I was breathing heavily. "Why the hell were you speeding for?" I yelled at him. "Your yelling at me" he yelled back. "What the helm were you thinking going in front of that guy that was holding a gun. You could have got yourself killed." He yelled at me. "But i didn't" I said calmly trying to control my anger.

"But you could have. He doesn't matter if he was shaking he still could have shot you" he shouted at me letting out a frustrated sigh. "So you sped home, almost gave me Herat attack just because your upset that I went in front of that guy that was holding a gun. So what, woo-wee. I die, I die" I shouted at him. "You shouldn't care" I added on.

"Yeah your right. I shouldn't care. But my mom told to watch over you, to make sure you were safe. So I pushed you behind me to keep you safe. But I shouldn't have, I should have just let you die" he said with anger laced on his voice. He got out the car slamming the door shut.

A while later I got out to and walked out too. I walked past the boys who were sitting there watching TV. I went straight to my room and slammed my door shut. I took my dress off and got dress in a t-shirt and shorts. I washed my face and tied my hair up.

I picked up the photo frame which hung near the door. I took it off the wall and started at it. It was my mom and dad with Jake and me at the fair for my 12th birthday.

I let a tear fall out of my. "Why'd you leave me?! Why?! Do you know how alone I feel. I plaster a fake smile on face everyday" I said and slid down the wall holding the frame close to me and letting the tears fall out. "Why?! Why me?! Why do I always love the ones I love?" I sob out.

I felt someone wrap arms around me. I look up to see Eliza. I instantly hug her. "I miss them, I miss them so much" I sobbed into her shoulder. I usually hate crying in front of people, but sometimes everyone had them days when they need to comfort of someone else. "Shhh...honey, it will be alright" she cooed in my ear.

"No, it won't be alright. I lost everyone. I lost my family. I don't have anyone to call my own" I yelled out standing up and throwing the frame to the other side of the room causing it to smash. "Sophia, your parents wouldn't want you to cry" she said as I fell against the foot of the bed.

"Then why did they leave me. Why?!" I cry out. "I have this hole. It's like a big hole in my heart. Where they all used to be. I feel empty. I feel worthless. I feel like I never made them proud"I shouted out. The door opened again and Noah and a man walked in.

"Sophia this is john, john Sophia" Eliza said introducing us. He pulled me into a hug. It felt like I was hugging my dad so I hugged him harder and cried. I never cried in front of anyone. We pulled away and he wiped my tears. "Please don't cry" Noah said walking up to me giving me a hug.

I hugged him back. "You have us Sophia. I know it's not going to feel like home but we will try our best to help you and get through this. I know it's hard for you. I remember the day my mother died. I was heartbroken. But you will get though it" john said to me. I nodded in response.

Eliza suggested that I go to bed. John and Eliza left while Noah Laid with me in bed. "Can I tell you a secret?" I asked Noah. "Yes" he said. "Promise you won't tell anyone" I asked him. He nodded his head again. For a five year old he was very clever.

"My parents and my brother are dead. That's why I came to live here with your family" I said to him and he gave me hug. "I won't tell anywone" he said to me. I nodded my head in response.

I looked at the time to see it's 2am. Noah was fast asleep in my bed but I couldn't sleep. I decided to go out for fresh air. I walked downstairs and out the back door. I saw a trampoline there. I went in laid down in there.

I watched the stars above me twinkle. "I miss you guys" I whispered. I heard the trampoline zip open. Carter crawled in here with a blanket and pillow in his hand. "What are you doing here?" He asked me.

"I couldn't sleep and need fresh air so I came out here" I said laying back back down. "What about you?" I asked him. "Same. When I can't sleep I come out here" he said laying down next to me.

He placed to pillow down and left some space for me. But I just moved away. I didn't really want to talk to him after are argument. He sighed when he realised that I wasn't going to lay down on the pillow. I closed my eyes and just concentrated on my breathing, it helps me to relax.

I felt myself being pulled and crashed on someone. I look up to see Carter. He pulled me towards him. He made me rest my head on his arm and chest while he put the blanket on us.

He wrapped his arms around me. While I draped a leg over his torso. I just realised that he was shirtless and that he was laying on a different blanket.

I wrapped my arm around him and cuddled up to him. I felt safe. Something I haven't felt for a while. "Are you okay?" He asked me in a soft voice. "Yeah" I breath out. "I heard shouting and crying from your room. Do you want to talk about it?" He asked me again.

"No" I said. He understood and didn't push the subject further. "Go to sleep" he said. But I wasn't tired. I look up at him and he was already looking down at me. "Are you angry with me?" I asked him. "No, I was just upset. You could have got yourself killed" he breathed out. "Okay" I whispered before closing my and darkness over took me.

I slept like a baby knowing I was safe.
