Alexander's POV:

Mike opened the trunk of his car for us to retrieve our bags.

"You should've taken them out after you got out of the car." He said as he opened it.

"We walked forward not backwards." Lexi said back.

"Hey, do you guys need help with that?" Felix said as came beside us.

"No thanks. We got it." I said as I pulled out my pack.

Lexi got her bag as well, which was quite smaller than mine.

"Why is your pack smaller than mine?" I asked her.

"Because unlike you, I didn't have any video games to pack." She said as she put her bag around her shoulders.

"I didn't pack any video games." I said.

"Then how do you explain the Xbox console that is peeking out of your pack?" She nodded her head towards my pack.

"It's not an Xbox console!" I defended. Although it was. "What about your books?" I asked her.

"I burned them."

"Really?" I asked with wide eyes.

"No you idiot. They will be arriving with Mike tomorrow. Right Mike?" She asked as she turned to look at him.

Mike shrugged. "Sure." He said before mumbling, "It's not like I have a choice."

What he means is, Lexi will keep asking him every minute - literally - to go and get her books from the apartment.

"I heard that!" Lexi called out.

"You were supposed to." He said back.

"Anyways, see you tomorrow Mike." I said as I gave him a hug.

He hugged me back. Then Lexi hugged him and he sat in his car and drove off. We looked back at the Jones family who was standing there with their signature smiles.

"Well? Are you both going to come in?" Sophie asked as she motioned to the front door.

"Sure." I said. We followed them in the house.

The camera guy, Sam, was behind all of us recording everything.

We walked up the front steps towards the door. Philip opened the door and we all filed inside.

Sophie and Lindsey took us to the kitchen saying that they would prepare a meal for us.

"Thank you Mrs. Jones. But we are not hungry." I said to her in the kindest voice I could muster.

"Nonsense! You both are eating some food right now." She demanded. "And please call me Sophie." She added.

Luke chuckled. "Just do as she says. She doesn't takes no for an answer." He said.

"You can give your bags to us. We can put them in your room." Harris said as he held his arms out to take the bags.

Left with no choice, we gave our bags to him and sat down at the dining table. The others sat down as well but Sophie and Lindsey went get the food.

"Our mom is the best cook. Anything she makes, it puts the restaurant food to shame." Felix informed us with a smile on his face.

"That's nice to hear. You guys are lucky to have a mom like yours." I said.

But nothing beats our mom because she had been a fighter her whole life. Even before she had us. But after she did, she kind of gave up.

"We heard some things about your mom too from our father. She sounds like an amazing woman." Luke said.

"She is." Lexi said as she nodded her head.

"Can we meet her?" Mark asked out of nowhere.

"What?" I asked.

"I was just wondering if we can. We won't if you don't want us to-" I cut him off.

"It's fine. Yes, you can." I answered his previous question.

Lindsey came to the table with two bowls in her hands. She placed them on the table and took a seat beside Harris.

The plates, bowls and utensils were already in the table with a...wine glass?

Can't these people use normal glasses?

As if reading my thoughts, Harris asked, "You're wondering why there are wine glasses, aren't you?"

My head snapped up to look at him.

"Umm... No... I was just-" He cut me off by laughing.

"It's alright. Most people wonder it too. But to let you know, our mom is obsessed with those fancy restaurant dining that she insisted there should be one in her home too."

I made an 'o' shape with my lips to let him think that I understood. But in reality, I'm still confused.

Who in the world could be obsessed with restaurant dining?

A few minutes later, Sophie comes out of the kitchen with food in her hand. She placed them on the table and sat down in a vacant chair, next to Mark.

"Where's Philip?" She asked looking around the table.

"Dad went to his office." Harris answered.

Sophie nodded and told us to start eating.

Lexi and I were extremely uncomfortable and felt left out. This was so out of our comfort zone.

We both took small amounts of food on our plates.

"You should take more than that, sweetie." Sophie said looking at us with a smile.

Lexi flinched a little at the name and said, "No thank you, Sophie but we...we're not that hungry."

"We ate before we came here at our place." I added.

"Oh. Okay then." She said and went back to eating.

After dinner, the twins volunteered to show us our room....which was the pool house.

"Sorry but there are no more rooms in the main house. The west wing is where Harris lives. So the pool house is the only place where you can live." Luke said as he opened to door.

Sam the camera man was following behind us and recording everything.

We walked inside to be greeted with an open space. There was nothing here beside a couch and a TV.

"Uhh.. There isn't much here. But you can make this place look like how you want it." Mark said.

"Harris already brought your stuff in that room over there." Luke said pointing at a door on the right.

We didn't get to see this house when we first came here because Philip had finished rehearsing his speech.

"Thanks." Lexi said.

They both nodded and went back. After they left, Lexi sighed and sat on the couch holding her head.

"You alright?" I asked as I sat beside her.

She nodded but didn't say anything.

"Do you have a headache?" I asked.

She looked up with a confused expression and said, "What? No. I'm just stressed. There's no way we can fit in with these people. I mean, they live a luxurious house and where do we live? In a beat up apartment where the walls were so thin that we could hear what was going on beyond them. They have luxurious cars and we don't have one. They are millionaires and we barely have five dollars in our pocket. They-"

"Lexi breathe." I cut her off from her rambling.

She took a deep breath and exhaled. "What I'm trying to say is, we don't belong here. In this world where a person is granted their every wish." She said.

"But we can try to fit in."

"How?"

"By getting along." I said.

"You mean get along with them? Our half brothers?" She asked.

"Yeah. I mean, it's not that difficult. We're making it difficult by thinking that it's difficult but it's not. The only person we do have a problem with is Philip. We can't take it out on the others. It will take time to get use to it but in the end that's what always happens. We get along with the person. Remember how we became friends with Chris? He initiated it and we got use to it. The same thing could happen here as well."

She thought about it for a minute. Then said, "We can try."

"We can try." I agreed.
