Alexis' POV:

Alex jumped through the still opened window inside the west wing. I felt around the walls to find the switch to turn the light on.

"Alex, do you have a flash light?" I asked.

"No." Just as he said that, the lights flipped on and Alex was standing near the switch. "But I found the switch." He added with a grin.

I rolled my eyes and started to look around the house in hopes to find someone.

Alex started to look around as well. We both searched the whole house but we got nowhere.

That was until we went to the basement.

I opened the door and almost immediately, heard a grunt from where the door hit the wall.

I looked behind me to see Alex already had his gun ready. I put my back to the door and raised my gun.

Swiftly, I pulled the door by its handle and pointed the gun at the person behind it.

That person was Harris.

"Harris." I let out a sigh of relief.

"You have no idea how scared I was when I heard you guys moving upstairs." He said.

"Where are the others?"

"Lindsey is behind those boxes over there and the rest of them are somewhere." He answered shrugging.

"Is it safe to come out?" Lindsey asked.

"It's safe. It's just Alex, Lexi, a lady who I don't know and a little girl about four." Harris answered casually but then a look of realization set across his face. "Speaking of which, who are they?"

Lindsey came out from behind the boxes and stood beside Harris.

"This is Olivia and Emily. They are Scott's family." Alex said.

"What are they doing here?" He asked.

"You'll see later. Right now tell us where Scott is." I asked.

"I don't know but I have a feeling he's in the main house."

"Good enough. Now stay hidden and take Emily with you." I said.

"Okay?" Lindsey asked unsure.

I rolled my eyes and turned to Emily. "Hey Em. Can you stay here with these two while we go catch some bad guys?"

"Is mommy going to stay with me?" she asked and I wanted to groan in frustration.

I looked at Olivia for help with this. She got the hint and tried to talk to Emily herself.

"Honey, remember when I told you about your older brother?" She asked her.

Emily nodded and Olivia continued, "Well baby, mommy is going to go and get him because he's here and then I'll be with you all the time. But for now, you have to stay with them." She pointed at Lindsey and Harris when she said the last part.

"Is brother okay?" Emily asked in a small voice.

"Yes. He's fine. Can you stay here while mommy goes and gets him?" She asked.

Emily started to think it over for a minute. We all let out sighs of relief when she agreed.

"Okay baby. Now you have to behave and don't trouble them too much." Olivia instructed her daughter before standing up.

"Let's go now." She said and walked out the door.

Alex and I followed her and we all went up the stairs that lead to the living room/kitchen area.

But here's the problem, we forgot to turn the lights off. So we got caught.

But Olivia was quick to hid behind the wall. So only me and Alex were the ones that were caught.

And the person who caught us was Ryder.

"I knew from the minute I saw the three of them outside knocked out that you came back. And I also know for a fact that you wouldn't come with us nicely. So I brought some help." He said.

Some of his men came inside the house and moved towards us.

"Be discreet no matter what." I whispered to Olivia who was still standing behind the wall. She nodded and moved down the stairs until she was hidden.

I then pulled out my gun along with Alex.

"Stay back!" I said as I pointed my gun at them.

"Man. We didn't even teach you how to use one yet. You know it's dangerous to use a gun when you don't know what you're doing." Ryder said and took a step forward.

I laughed at that and said, "You know, you should really do some research before you start to assume stuff about them."

"What's that suppose to mean?"

"We were trained by a FBI agent from the age of thirteen." Alex said for me.

His eyes flicked behind us for a split second then moved back to us.

"So, that's how you knew everything. I'll have to admit, you are a skilled liar." He said to me.

Alex smirked. "Nice try."

He turned around and shoot the man that was sneaking up behind us through the window then turned back around and pointed the gun back at Ryder.

I pulled the trigger of my gun and the dart inside hit a guy on his thigh. Then I turned to another man and hit him on his shoulder.

Like that, all of the people he brought with him dropped to the floor, unconscious, in a matter of seconds.

That left only Ryder in the middle of the knocked out men.

He shrugged his shoulders and made a move to raise his hands in surrender by at the last minute, he pulled the trigger on both of us.

Sunlight streamed through the windows of our shared room waking me up in the process.

I opened my eyes and groaned how much it hurt my eyes. I made a move to rub them but realized I couldn't do it because my hands were tied to my bed frame.

Who ties a person to their bed frames?

I looked over at Alex's bed to see him sleeping. His hands were also tied up.

"Alex." I said.

His head moved a little and hit his arm. Confused as to what was going on, he opened his eyes and looked at me.

"Alex we're tied up." I said.

"What happened?"

I tried to remember what happened after we came here yesterday but it was just hazy memories.

"I think we were knocked out by Ryder." I said because he was the last thing I remember.

"Me too. Hey, could you try and undo the ropes on your wrists? See if it works?" He asked.

"You really think I can with my shoulder?" I asked, referring to my still injured shoulder.

"Try it." He said.

I sighed and looked up to the ropes and tried to open them up. After a few tries, I gave up.

"I can't. My shoulder hurts a lot." I said.

We were silent after that and waited for someone to come in an undo the ropes for us.

Then a thought struck me.

"Didn't the cops came last night?" I asked him.

"You didn't give them the address. They're probably searching for it." He answered.

"Yeah but she said she knew where the Jones residence was. Isn't that good enough?"

"Nope. They need the address for conformation."

"Well, now it's no use. It's sunrise." I said.

"Yeah I can see that."

I was about to say something else when the door opened up and the devil himself walked in.

"Well, well, well. You must have a good night sleep didn't you?" He asked.

"Yeah we did. You should really try to get shot by a tranquilizer dart sometime. It's great." I retorted back.

Scott laughed at that and said, "Oh my God, Alexis. You sure are a funny one."

"Get lost."

"Nah. I don't think so. You see, I still have some unfinished business to do." He said and motion someone to untie us.

Two men came in and undid the ropes. As if on instinct, my hand went to my wrist, massaging them.

I sat up on my bed and looked at him.

"Why did you untie us?" I asked.

"Because we're going to have some fun." He said and the two men grabbed Alex and I by our arms and pulled us out of the room and into the backyard.

All the while we couldn't do anything but to follow them because these men had grips like iron.

When we were out in the backyard, we saw dad, Felix, Luke, Mark, Sophie, Mike, Char, Charlie and Emma on the grass on their knees.

Julia, Ryder and Collin were standing behind them as if they were on guard.

"You see guys, we have a way of doing our thing. It's that we gather the whole family first. Now, you gotta tell us where is the oldest brother and his fiance?" He asked us.

"We don't know." Alex seethe.

"Oh but you do. Because you were in the west wing where he lives right? Well you might have seen him."

"We didn't see anyone! Why do you think we came back upstairs from the basement?" I asked.

"You know I really want to believe you Alexis but the thing is that you've lied to me in the past. So I'll just have to ignore you." Scott said and turned to dad.

"Philip. How are you? We haven't seen you on a long time." He said.

Dad didn't say anything and just looked down in defeat.

Don't give up dad. Please, not now.

"How about you tell us where your son is?" Scott asked him.

"I don't know." Dad said.

Scott looked amused at that. "Hmm. You don't. Well then we'll just have to start without them."

He turned back to us and said, "We'll start with the youngest ones."

He nodded his head to the two men holding us. They pushed us down to our knees and held our chins so we looked at Scott.

"You are a monster. You know that?" I said to him.

"I've been called a lot of names. Yours doesn't offend me." He said and the others laughed.

He took out a knife from his pocket and stared at us while twirling it around.

"Hmm.... Julia, who should we kill first?" He asked her.

"You're all sick on the head!" I yelled.

Well, I wasn't wrong. They literally are sick on the head.

"I think you we should kill her first. Her voice is making my ears bleed. Plus, she's the youngest isn't she?" Julia said looking at us.

"I think you're right. I should deal with her first." Scott said.

He turned to the guy that was holding me down and nodded at him again.

The guy picked me up and set me on my feet, all the while having a strong grip on me.

Scott walked towards me with the knife still in his hand. "You know, Alexis, there was always something about you that bugged me. Now I know that it's you intelligence."

"Why? Are you jealous that I have it?" I asked.

"No. It's just that you don't put it good use." He said shifting his eyes to the blade in his hand.

"I do put it to good use." I said.

He shook his head and looked at me. "I'll make you a deal. You come work with me without back stabbing me and I'll let all these people go."

I knew it! I knew he'd do something like this. But here's the thing. He doesn't mean it.

It's written all over his face. He won't let anyone live.

I looked him straight in the eye and said, "Never in a million years."

He just stared at me for a couple seconds then shrugged and said, "Okay then. Your loss."

Before anyone could comprehend what he was doing, he drew the knife back and plunged it straight in my stomach.

An ear piercing scream left my mouth and the man that was holding me let go, making me fall on the ground.

"Scott! What have you done!?" I heard Olivia shout.

I closed my eyes tightly as if that would help take the pain away but it didn't.

At the same time, I heard sirens and police cars coming in. But I couldn't focus on it.

I felt someone's presence near me and felt then gather me up in their arms. The movement made me want to let out another scream.

"Lexi." I heard and opened my eyes. I saw Alex next to me and he was the one holding me in his arms.

"Alex take it out. Please." I said.

He shook his head at that and said, "Sorry Lex. I can't."

"Alex please. It hurts."

"Shh... I know. But the paramedics are on their way here. It about a matter of seconds before they reach us. Till then, Lexi keep talking to me, alright? Just stay awake." He said.

"Talk about what?" I asked.

"Anything. Please just keep your eyes open."

"I can't..." I trailed off. My breathing coming out as short pants.

"What Lex? You can't what?"

"Keep... My eyes... Open. It takes the.... Pain... Away." I said in between breaths.

"I know. I know. Just for a little bit. The paramedics are here." I heard him say.

I mumbled something that even I couldn't understand before I drifted into darkness.
