Alexis' POV:

Scott looked pleased that I saved them from a near disaster. And he was dumb enough to trust me when all I've ever said were lies to him.

I'll have to admit, I was a skilled liar. Especially when it came to Alex. Those were the times when he decided to become a rebellious teen.

He was caught many times but always turned to me when he was stuck. I didn't do much except for twisting the truth and Alex continued the rest of the lie.

That came to end when mom found out about his ways and caught him sneaking out while talking to one of his 'friends' on the phone.

Plus mom found cigarettes in his closet. Ones that even I didn't know about and he had a long talk with mom.

You can pretty much guess how that went for Alex.

So that was how I learned to come up with lies on spot.

I told it to mom and she was beyond furious that she considered sending us to boarding school.

But we quickly calmed her down and promised her that it won't happen again unless completely necessary.

After I told Scott about the 'coincidence' he let us all go to bed.

Alex had texted me what he had heard. He even asked me how many times I had lied to him.

I told him off for that.

When I woke up the next morning, I was immediately greeted with Ryder who told me that Scott called in for a meeting.

Without having breakfast we went to the meeting room where he was.

Once we were all seated, he said, "So, this is new to all of us. A meeting before breakfast. I've called you all here now because I have to tell you all something. You all will be in my sight the whole day and tonight we'll go for the Summers this time and make them come to us."

I really hope Alex heard that because I won't be able to do anything the whole day to inform him.

It was still early in the morning and Alex doesn't wake up at this time. I really hope he didn't get enough sleep like I did.

As rude as that sounds.

"Why do you want to keep in in sight?" Ryder asked him.

Scott put his hands on the table and looked at him dead in the eye. "Because this will help me find out who the traitor is." He said.

Again, I hope Alex heard that.

So far, it's one in the afternoon and we've been sitting in the meeting room the whole day.

Scott took away our phones and any source of contact through which I could tell Alex about what been happening.

He might call any minute and I'll be caught. My whole plan would be ruined. That is if he hadn't heard it through the microphone that was still under the table.

"Why do we have to go for the Summers this time? Can't we go for the Kings instead? The guards might have been gone by now since we were about to rob them yesterday."  I said in hopes that Alex was listening.

"Because we don't go for one victim twice. Not until the whole plan had played out completely and the last step is the only thing that's left." Scott answered.

"Why take our phones if you know that there isn't anyone over here that will give info to others?"

"Because I have a doubt. And I don't take chances." He answered.

I sighed at the answer and started to drum my fingers on the table out of boredom.

"Can we at least have lunch?" Collin asked.

"In due time." He answered distracted by his phone.

I folded my arms and put my head on them.

"You look like you're about to pass out. Did you get enough sleep?" Scott asked.

"I did. It's just I'm bored at the moment and there isn't anything else i can do except sleep." I answered him.

"Okay then. Go to sleep." He said.

I didn't go to sleep at all. I couldn't do it with the constant fear in my head that Alex might call or he didn't listen to what I had said and the Summers would be robbed, just like my dad was.

It was night time when I started to get the hope that Alex had got the message.

Scott sad that we were about to go to the Summers house to get the plan in action.

We all filed inside the van and arrived at the house where the they had the access to the company's account the best.

Just like before, Scott parked the car a couple houses down so we wouldn't been seen.

When we reach the front gate of the house, Scott peered inside to make sure no one was around.

It was when he opened the gate. It was unlocked and the fear started to build up again.

The others, on the other hand, were grinning like they just won a trophy or something.

We all filed inside - though I reluctantly followed them - and through the bushes, we reached the front door.

Ryder was the master when it came to lock picking. He made sure no one was around before he took out two bobby pins from Julia's hair to pick the lock.

He was just about to get the last pin up when a voice yelled, "Hey! Who are you guys and what are you doing here?"

We all turned around and relief flooded in my chest when I saw a guard that was holding his gun up, pointing it at us.

"Who are you?" He asked again.

"Umm.... We were called in for a job interview." I immediately said but cringed at the last minute realizing what I said.

"A job interview at this time?" He asked.

"This is the Kings residence, right?" I asked him.

He furrowed his eyebrows and said, "No it's not. This is the Summers residence."

I made an 'o' face and turned to the others. "See guys. I told you we were at the wrong place. We might have gotten the directions wrong." I said to them.

They looked confused. Before they could say anything the guard cut in, "What are you talking about? Why do you want to go to the Kings residence?"

I turned back to him and said, "Mr. King had called us for a job interview at this time. When we asked him why at this late he said that he didn't have time in the day."

That was true. Last night, I took all my night out in researching on the Kings because I didn't know who they were and was curious.

The guard nodded in understanding. Maybe he knew what I was talking about.

"I know what you are talking about. I went over there at night to get the job of a guard but I didn't make it in time so ended up losing the job." He said lowering his gun.

"But you have to go out of here right now. It's risky to be here at the moment. Some people are going to rob the company to make it look like it was bankrupt." He added making me grin on the inside.

Alex had heard what was said! More relief flooded in me after hearing that.

"How exactly do you know that?" Scott asked coming beside me.

"I don't know that. Mr. Summers told us that we had guard the house because it was going to happen but never really mentioned who told him." He answered.

"Well, we must best be going and you can continue guarding the house." I said with a smile.

The all reluctantly agreed and we went back to the car.

"They knew we'd be arriving. They knew about us. Who could have told them if it wasn't one of you?" Scott asked himself as he paced around the room.

Suddenly he stopped like came to know something and turned to me. "How did you come up with a story like that one?"

I shrugged indifferently. "I was doing some research on the Kings because I was curious on who they are."

He nodded at my answer and went back to pacing again.

"If none of you told them, then how did they know about it?" He mumbled to himself as he paced the length of the room.

"We can figure that out later. For now, can we have our phones back?" Julia asked.

Scott sighed and went to the drawer where he kept our phones and handed them back to us.

"Does anyone have an idea of how they knew about us?" He asked.

Everyone was silent.

I debated in my mind, weather or not I should say it. Whether I should go back home now or a little later.

Well, I did miss home. I miss Alex.

I sighed and spoke up, "Maybe there is something in the building that gives them the info."

All of their eyes turned to me.

"What are you talking about?" Collin asked.

I leaned forward in my seat. "I mean, maybe someone was able to get through the security and install some sort of a device in the building that allows them to listen to what we are saying right now."

"What makes you say that?"

"It's not that hard to get your hands on some equipments like that. I've seen them before when Alex and I trained at the academy with Mike. There is a microphone and the listening device. Maybe someone installed a microphone in here and are listening to our conversations." I elaborated.

They all seem to be thinking it over and then all of a sudden, Scott told us to spread out and look for something out the ordinary.

That's where I cut in. "Scott! Searching the whole building will get us nowhere. We have to start in the most obvious place."

"Where is it?" He asked.

Is he seriously asking me that?

I looked at him with furrowed eyebrows. "Are you actually asking me that? Use your head!"

He thought about it for a minute before he looked around himself.

"Look around the room. If you find anything, tell me immediately." He said finally coming to his senses.

"If we do find something, there is chance that I can trace it to where it's connected." Collin said.

"Great job, genius. If it is here, they know you'll do something like it. They might disconnect it and quiet possibly throw it away." Ryder said.

These guys really are dumb. They just gave an idea to Alex on what to do with the listening device. If he was listening.

Everyone spread around the room looking in every corner. I obviously knew where it was and steered clear of the table and 'checked' in the corners.

In reality I was just looking around the room and found more convenient places to hide the microphone.

Minutes later, Julia exclaimed, "I found it!"

We all looked to see her under the table. We all crouched down underneath it. Julia took the microphone off the leg and turned it over, pulling out its batteries.

"Now no one can hear us." She said, happy that she was the one who found it.

"Where is it connected to?" Scott asked looking at me.

"I don't know Scott. It doesn't says the location of the place on it." I answered.

Now it was final. I'm going home tonight.
