*3 weeks later*

Alexis' POV:

It's been 3 weeks since we moved in with the Jones family. So far we've slightly warmed up to them but not completely.

Just enough so we could talk to them normally.

Currently, Harris, Felix, Luke, Mark, Sam and Alex were setting up Alex's Xbox on the TV and I was watching them while sitting on the coffee table.

"All done." Felix announced. It only took them five minutes to get it.

"That was quick." I commented.

"Well, when you have skilled hands on putting stuff together, you tend to do it in record time." He said.

"I thought you were a medic." I mused.

"Yeah I am. I put together human bodies." He said.

I grimaced and stood up going to the kitchen.

"Hey it is true! I stitch them up!" He called after me.

"That's just disturbing!" I called back only to hear him laugh.

In the past three weeks, we've started to joke around with them and, like Mike had said, have fun.

Suddenly there was a knock on the front door. Must be Charlotte. She told me earlier that she would be coming.

Alex opened the door and Char was there. But she wasn't alone. She had dozens of shopping bags all around her.

Alex took notice of the bags around her feet and asked her as he gestured towards them, "Char, what is all this?"

She looked down at her bags. "Oh! Remember when Chris and I last came here, I said we should give this place a makeover?" She asked.

Alex nodded and she continued, "Well this is half of the stuff we'll be using. Chris is getting the other half from his car."

"Half?!" Alex asked with wide eyes.

"Yeah. It took so much time to think what would look good in your shared room. So I thought, 'why not bring of both genders?' so I did."

Alex ran a hand over his face.

I came at the front door and said, "Char, you really are obsessed with this kind of stuff."

"Hey! I'm not taking interior decorating as a career for nothing." She told me as she walked in, stepping over the bags in the process.

"Could you boys bring the bags to the room? Thanks." She told them all and went to our still plain room.

Just then, we heard something - or rather someone - squishing the bags at the door.

We all turned around to see Chris on top of them, looking completely out of breath.

"Chris, are you okay?" Alex asked worriedly as he went to his side.

Chris lifted his head a little to look at him and said, "I'm saying this again. Whoever will marry that girl is in for a hell of shopping." Then fell down again.

Three hours. It's been three hours since Char came in with all those bags at the door and those three hours have been torture.

Like literal torture.

Luke had Sam get the camera so they could record it all.

"You can put those over there." Char said to Luke who held colorful candles in his hands.

"Why would you buy candles?" I asked.

"They're scented candles and they smell nice. I've checked." She answered.

The only thing she's been doing so far, is decorating the numbers and letters she bought.

"How much money did you spend on these things?" Harris asked her holding up mini shopping carts.

"What the hell do we need those for?" I asked.

"Just wait and watch. This place will look like a masterpiece." She said. "And to answer your question, not that much." She added looking at Harris.

"How did you even convince your parents to let you buy this stuff?" Mark asked.

"I passed my summer test with flying colors." She said.

I scoffed. "Yeah right. You barely managed to get a B. And that too by only two points." She glared at me for that.

Mark looked even more confused so she explained, "My parents told me that if I managed to get an A or a B they would let me buy anything I want. I got a B so I used that opportunity to buy all this."

So for the next four hours or so we've been putting stuff here and there.

Char even brought some furniture. Like a dresser or a shoe rack. She went all out.

By the time we were finished, it was almost midnight. The positive side of all this was the out come. I'll have to admit, she did a pretty good job.

Char had the boys move the beds so that they were side to side with a bedside table in between them with a round mirror above it.

The letters she'd been working on were hung on the wall beside my bed spelling "LEXI & ALEX"

My name was written in grey and Alex's was written in orange. Our bed sheets had orange and grey colors on them.

In the living room there was a dresser on which she put small flower vases and other show pieces to make it look more comfortable.

On the wall there were more letters colored in black spelling "TWINS (x2)".

She couldn't find any brackets so she brought two boomerangs and painted them black then hung them on the wall.

It looks weird but it'll do.

Beside the door she put the shoe rack and stacked all of our shoes on it.

The couch was put in front of the window in the living room in the far right corner.

She bought a small book shelf where she kept all my books.

"All done!" Char said with a happy grin on her face making us all let out a sigh of relief.

"Now the couches will be arriving tomorrow and we can set those up too." She said making us all groan.

"Char, seriously. We've been at this for seven hours and forty eight minutes now. Please let us rest." Alex said.

"We can sleep now and then we wake up and set all the couches." She said.

All of us groaned in response.

At this she said, "Hey! All of this-" she gestured to the living room, "-turned out well. These are just couches and nothing else."

"WAKE UP! ALL OF YOU!"

All of us jolted awake at the sound. We looked around to see Char standing in the middle of all of us.

"What is it?" Felix asked.

"The couches will be arriving any minute now! Get ready!" She yelled and went out the door.

Turns out, the 'any minute now' was actually two hours. By the time they arrived, we were ready, had breakfast and fried in the hot sun outside waiting for them.

Oh and Philip was home by then as well. He looked at all of us standing outside, gave us all a weird look then shook his head and went inside.

But the truck arrived nonetheless. That's all that matters, right? Char's words not mine.

We all rolled our eyes at that. Then for the next half an hour we helped the workers putting it inside the pool house.

Which was hard considering we had to walk all the way around the damn house from where Alex called it route 3.

Does this house have to be this big?

When we were pulling out the last couch - there were 3 in total and they were darn heavy - Philip came out of the house.

"What in the world is going on? Who ordered these couches?" He asked.

As if we all practiced, we pointed at Char all in sync. She gave a brief glare to all of us before turning to Philip.

"Mr. Jones, the pool house doesn't have enough furniture in there. Yesterday I bought a lot of stuff to make the twins feel at home and today we are putting these couches because there was only one in there. So I thought it would be a good idea." She said with a smile.

Philip thought about it for a minute. "Okay. So these couches and decorations... And your family is okay with it?" He asked, genuinely confused.

Char then proceeded to tell about her summer test to him. After she was done, Philip raised and eyebrow at her.

"How much did you spend?" He asked her.

"Not much actually." Jones brothers coughed at that.

She glared at them and said, "You guys can take the last couch inside. We'll be there in a minute."

They took the couch and went in the direction of the pool house.

"Mr. Jones, I know that this is your house but this is also my friend's house. The pool house was really plain and boring with only white and I'm going to take interior decorating as my major when I go to uni. So when I saw it, I used it as an opportunity to see how my skills work. I hope you're not mad." Char explain looking down when she finished.

"I'm not mad. Just surprised. You can do whatever you want because I practically gave that place to these two. So no problem." He said.

At this, a huge smile stretched on Char's face before began to thank him nonstop.

"Thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you." She said and ran off in the direction the boys went to.

Alex, Philip and I stood there awkwardly shifting from foot to foot.

"Thanks for...letting her do that. She would have cried until her eyes dried out of you hadn't." I said quietly.

"It's no problem. You should get going too if you don't want her to ruin your place. Because from what I've seen, you both look absolutely pissed off." He said with a chuckle.

"That was because she told us that the couches would be here in a few minutes after she woke us up. But in reality it took two hours." Alex answered.

Philip laughed.

"You sure do have a hyper friend." He said.

"Yeah." I agreed.

Chris appeared from the corner telling us to come and help.

We turned to Philip and were about to say something when he shook his head and said, "I guess this is where you leave. Be careful though. Couches often have needles sticking out at the bottom. Don't hurt yourself."

I rolled my eyes. "We're not children anymore. We can take care of ourselves." I said and jogged away with Alex behind me, laughing.
