AND THAT'S HOW WE landed in Orlando, Florida that night. My brothers and my parent are with me, but I still feel lonely.

I haven't cried or thrown things. I just feel numb.

Is this how I'm suppose to feel?

Everybody was acting like I was glass; about to shatter at any second. Brent wanted to come with me, but his parents wouldn't let him.

I feel bad because Anna and Elliot had to be away from each other, and I know how much they kissed each other. They both said that it was totally fine, but I couldn't help but feel guilty.

I laid in the hotel bed, staring at the ceiling. I don't know how long I laid there. When the sun started to rise, I went to use the restroom.

All the boys were asleep either in the other bed or on the couch. Nick was asleep on the floor. I was suppose to share a room with Micheal, but they all decided to come stay with me to make me feel better even though I told them I will be fine.

I quietly crept to the bathroom, trying my best not to ask them. Once I was in the bathroom, I used the restroom. I washed my hands after I was finished.

That's when I looked at myself in the mirror. There was bags under my eyes from the lack of sleep. My face looks neutral, like I don't have emotions. I look rough.

I unlocked the door, and I went back to my bed. I picked up my phone from the bottom of the bed. I haven't even looked at it since we arrived.

The Gurls
M: I'm so sorry about your Dad. If you need anything call us.
A:We love you, Campbell.

H: We miss you.
J: I pray that he will make a full recovery.
N: Please let us know any updates. We will keep him in our thoughts.

Brent also texted me eight times asking if we landed, how I was doing, and stuff like that. I haven't really talked to him since Saturday night.

I was about to shut my phone off when I received another message from a random number.

I'm so sorry about your Dad. I wish I could be there. I love you, Campbell. This is your mother.

I switched my phone off and I tossed it back to it's original spot on the bed. I really don't want to think about her right now. All I want to focus on is my father.

In four hours, I will be visiting my father in the hospital. Just the thought made me want to throw up. We might have a difficult relationship, but I don't want my father injured in the hospital.

I hugged the blanket closer to me as I waited for everybody else to get up.

I laid there for two more hours until everybody was awake and ready to go get breakfast.

I changed into one of Brent's sweatshirts and a pair of black shorts. I threw my hair into a messy bun before brushing my teeth. I put on my shoes before following the boys to our parents' room which was across from us.

They were standing outside, waiting for us. They were dressed causal, and they were looking at me with concern looks on their faces.

"Let's go get breakfast then we will head to the hospital," Mom told us, making us nod.

Elliot wrapped an arm around my shoulders as we walked to the rented vehicle we were using for our visit.

I sat in the middle between Gaberial and Nick while the other three sat in the third row. We drove away from the hotel, and I laid my head on Gaberial's shoulder.

When Dad parked the vehicle in IHOP parking lot, we slowly got out. Mol tried to make conversation, but it died within the first five minutes.

We walked into IHOP, quietly. The waitress led us to a table, and she handed us menus. She was probably around my age with her short, pixie black hair and brown eyes. She kept eyeing Nick and Elliot with a lust look in her eyes.

We ordered our drinks, and she left to go get them. I looked at the menu, trying to find something small to eat. I wasn't hungry, but I knew everybody would force food down my throat if I didn't eat.

That's when I saw the chocolate chip pancakes. Memories of my father and I rushed into my mind.

"Daddy, look at this! Chocolate chip pancakes!" My eight year old self exclaimed, pointing to the menu.

"No way! We have to get them!" Dad cheered with me.

He ordered two plates of them, and we were so impatient. When they got to the table, we devoured them.

"That was amazing. Whoever invented those deserves a billion dollars," I said, patting my tummy.

"And with that chocolate milk. Yummy," Dad agreed before taking another sip of his milk.

"This is the best daddy daughter date ever! We have to do this every Saturday!"

"From now on, Saturdays are for chocolate chip pancakes and chocolate milk!" Dad said, making me smile.

And we did that every Saturday until he went to prison. Even when we had an argument, we still went Saturday morning. Every morning ended with smiles and full stomachs.

"Campbell!" Dad's voice said, bringing me out of the memories. I looked to see everybody looking at me.

"We were asking you what you want to eat," Mom said, making my eyes look at the menu.

"Just scrambled eggs and bacon," I said, closing my menu.

Mom told the waitress my order while I stayed silent. Once she left, Dad asked Nick about his trip with Nichole to Australia this upcoming spring break. They planned it out last spring break, and they both been looking forward to it.

"Here you guys go," the waitress returned twenty minutes later with our food.

She put my plate in front of me, and my stomach growled just looking at the food. I took a bite of the eggs, and my stomach needed more. I finished my entire plate within five minutes, still hungry.

"There is more eggs if you some," Mom said, pushing a plate towards me.

"Thank you," I said, quietly, before eating once more.

Then I was no longer hungry. I finished my drink as everybody finished their food. Once we were all done, Dad paid the bill.

Then we got back into the car. I plugged my earbuds in my ears, and some soft melody song played throughout my ears.

It wasn't long until we arrived to the hospital. After ten minutes trying to find a parking spot, Dad finally found a spot next to a silver truck.

He parked the car before turning the engine off. We got out, and everybody was looking at me like I was going to shatter.

I'm strong. I can do this. I told myself over and over.

We walked into the hospital, and I walked up to the front desk lady. She looked exhausted as she barely held her eyelids open.

"How can I help you?" She asked in a neutral tone.

"We are here to see Chase West," I told her before either of my parents could speak.

"What is your relationship with Mr. West?" She asked as she typed into the computer.

"I'm his daughter," I replied, making her nod.

"He just got moved to room 312. It's on the tenth floor. Take the elevator, and it's the fourth door on the right," she instructed, making me nod.

We all walked into the elevator. It was so silent that it was killing me. I didn't say anything though. When the elevator reached the tenth floor, we got off.

Nurses and doctors were walking around to their patients. There were other people walking, but they were silent like we were.

I saw 312 number on the door, and my heart started to beat extremely fast. A nurse exited the room, and she narrowed her eyes when she saw us.

"Are you here to see Mr. West?" She asked us, holding a clipboard under he armpit.

I nodded,"Yes. I'm his daughter."

"How is everybody else related to the patient?" She asked, eyeing the boys.

"They adopted me in early June," I replied, instantly.

She purses her lips before saying,"Your father is heavily sedated so he can rest. He lost a great deal of blood and he has at least ten broken bones. He also had a brain bleed but the doctors fixed that."

I nodded and she continued,"He may wake, and if he does, do not freak him out in any way. He is at a great risk of a heart attack that can kill him instantly."

"Yes maam."

"Now two people at a time. The rest can wait in the waiting room around the corner," she said before walking off.

"Are you ready to see him?" Mom asked beside me.

I nodded,"I need to see him."

The boys and Dad hugged me before walking towards the waiting room. My hand wrapped around the doorknob.

All I have to do now is turn it and push forward.

After a few seconds of debating, I pushed the door open.

Here goes nothing.
