TODAY IS THE DAY.

My last first day at Midville High School. I'm official a senior.

I threw the blanket off of me, and I walked into my bathroom. I brushed my teeth and I did my business. Then I walked in my closet to pick out an outfit.

I chose a white bralette, a white romper and a dark blue jean jacket. The romper had a string tied around my waist.

I changed into the outfit before brushing my hair. I pulled my hair to the side, and I braided it. When I was done, I sprayed myself with perfume.

Then I put my black converses on my feet. I grabbed my bag and my phone before walking out of my room.

"Campbell, do you know where I put the mail from yesterday?" Mom asked me, looking through some papers in the living room.

I nodded my head,"You put them in your second drawer in your office, Mom."

She sighed as relief washed over her face,"Thank you. This is why you are my memory keeper."

I laughed,"No problem."

I walked into the kitchen to see all the boys in there, eating their breakfasts. I placed my bag down on the ground, and I opened a cabinet. I struggled to grab a bowl.

"Morning, Cam. Need some help?" Micheal asked beside me.

I shook my head,"No."

He raised an eyebrow, and I groaned.

"Fine. Yes I need some help," I said as he smiled at me.

Over the summer, Micheal has grown extremely tall. He is the same height as Elliot, who is in Massachusetts right now for college.

Anyways, now I'm the shortest person in the whole house. Being 5'2 is awful.

"Here you go, shortie," Micheal replied before handing my bowl.

"Thank you, Bigfoot," I replied with a smirk.

Micheal rolled his eyes before looking at his phone. He started typing on the screen, and I smiled.

Jordan and Micheal are official girlfriend and boyfriend. It took a lot of pep talks, but they became official this past summer.

I heard the front door shut, and Brent walked in the kitchen. His hair has gotten a lot darker, but it's still blonde, just a darker shade. His bright blues eyes were filled with glee when he walked over to me.

"Good morning, Princess," Brent said before giving me a quick kiss on the lips.

"Morning," I replied after I grabbed my cereal from the pantry.

"Football season starts in two weeks, thank god," Gaberial said, reading an article on his phone.

"It's a special year too. It's Micheal's first year playing varsity," Nick said, making Micheal nod his head.

I fixed my cereal before sitting next to Brent. Dad came in the kitchen with his newspaper stuck between his hand and his side.

"It's a beautiful day," Dad said, sitting his newspaper on the counter.

"Why are you so happy at 7:00 in the morning?" Gavin asked Dad.

"There is a new doctor starting today at the hospital. I get to show him around today," Dad said, fixing a cup of coffee.

"But you have done that multiple times with other doctors. Why is this one different?" Nick asked, clearing his throat.

"Yes, but this is David Perry. He has never lost a patient in his medical career. He transferred with his wife and his daughter last week," Dad said, excitedly.

"Wow. That's legit," Micheal said, chewing on a piece of toast.

"I know. That's why it's extremely important that today goes well. I plan on inviting him over for dinner Friday," Dad said right before Mom walked in the kitchen.

"Ross, are you talking about David Perry again?" Mom asked, walking over to him.

"You bet I am," Dad replied with a huge grin on his face.

I finished my cereal, and I placed the bowl in the sink. I slung my bag over my shoulder, and I walked over to Brent.

"You ready, Mason?" I asked Brent who was talking to Nick about some football plays.

"Of course. See you guys later. Bye, Mrs. C, and Mr. C," Brent said before throwing an arm around my shoulders.

"Bye Campbell. Bye Brent. Have a good day," Mom said.

"Bye Mom, Bye Dad."

"Bye, sweetie," Dad replied, fixing his hair.

Brent and I walked out of my house, and I opened the passenger door before he could.

"Not today, Brent. Not today," I told him with a sly smirk.

He shook his head before walking around to his side. We both got into the car, and Brent drove away from my house.

"So is Vanessa excited for her first day of kindergarten?" I asked Brent as he turned onto the road.

"She's extremely excited. Mom made Vanessa and I take over one hundred pictures this morning since it's the first day after all," Brent replied, making me smile.

"I can't believe that we are seniors," I said, astonished.

"Believe it babe. I just can't wait for football season to start."

I looked over at Brent,"Did the doctor clear you to play yet?"

After Brent woke up from the coma, he was put in physical therapy. He hade to go for months because of where the bullet hit him.

"I won't know until Thursday. I'm pretty sure I'll be playing though. I went to all of the physical therapy and I did all of the treatments. There should be nothing stopping me."

"That's good," I told him as he held my hand.

We drove to the school, listening to the radio. When Brent parked his car, I got out. I threw my bag over my shoulder before shutting the door.

I walked around the front of the car where Brent was standing at. We enlaced our hands before walking to the school building.

People were outside, chattering about their summers while others, mostly freshman, were looking around lost. Brent and I walked past them, and we walked inside to see even more people.

"What's your locker number, again?" Brent asked me.

"180," I replied, making him nod.

"So we are only four lockers apart," Brent said with a grin.

I smiled, and we walked to our lockers. After I put in my combination, I put my bag in it and I grabbed my stuff for the first two classes which were Math and Science.

Brent and I almost had the same schedule. The only classes that were different is third period and sixth period. I have History and for sixth period I had English. Brent had English third period, and for sixth period he had History.

"Hey guys," Nichole's voice said behind us.

"Hey, Nichole," I greeted, shutting my locker.

"Are you guys ready for today?" Nichole asked us.

Brent nodded,"Yeah."

"Where's Hailey?" I asked Nichole.

"She's running late. It's going to be so weird without Madison, Anna, and Elliot here."

I nodded,"Yeah. I talked to Madison last night, and she was a nervous wrecked, but I calmed her down."

Nick walked over to us, and he wrapped an arm around Nichole's waist. He kissed her on the cheek.

The bell rang, making everybody walk to class.

Nick sighed,"Let's get this over with."

"Cheer up, babe. This is our last first day of highschool," Nichole replied as we walked to our homeroom.

"And I can't wait for it to end," Nick said, making us laugh.
