"What the hell was that?!" I exclaimed and threw my hands in the air. I knew something was going on between Alaska and her bestfriends since they didn't talk or even look at each other, but I didn't expect them to have such an emtional encounter in the hallway today.

"'I am afraid to lose you, Al.' What's that even supposed to mean? And what the fuck means 'I would never choose him over you'? Who is that him guy?!" Phoenix mimicked aggressively.

"Why would I know? The only thing I do know is that he better not be her fucking boyfriend or something!" Colton yelled and plopped down on a chair in the empty classroom that we use as our chill out room in school.

"Guys...we don't have the right to tell her not to have a boyfriend, do we? She would just hate us even more if we do. First we have to somehow win back her trust and not lose it, y know?" I explained.

Their angry expressions changed into pained ones as they remembered that they didn't deserve the title of being a brother. We lost that right a long time ago, but we'd do anything to someday win it back. Even if it seems impossible....

Anyways, we can at least find out who that guy they were talking about is, right? Right.

"Let's at least find out what guy they were arguing about or whatever, yeah?"

"Yeah, let's do that." Colton and Phoenix agreed simultaneously, making me scoff slightly at their eagerness.

"Ok, so what facts do we have about him?" I asked as I opened my laptop.

"Well....none? We only know that he is a friend of Alaska or something...?"

"Ok, then. Who did Alaska talk to lately excluding the Russians?" Phoenix asked.

"Wait, shouldn't we call the others over? They have a free period now, don't they?" Colton cut in, pulling out his phone and dialing our youngest stepbrothers' number.

"Yo, wanna come over? We need to find some information about some guy that's close to Alaska."

I heard some shuffling on the other end of the line as well as some voices yelling and shouting. When the voices became less audible I noticed that he was walking down one of the crowded hallways.

"Gimme a minute. See you." Shortly after he hung up the phone someone knocked on the door.

"So why did ya call us over?" Enzo asked and sat down on one of the desks.

"It's about that dramatic thing in the hallway with Alaska and the Russians. They were talking about some him and we wanna find out who that guy is." Phoenix explained.

"What? Shouldn't we not involve us in her private life? Like, we already hurt her a lot and if we invade her privacy now, then her hate for us would just double..." Leonardo said.

"But we can at least find out his name, can't we?"

"Well, yeah...but I think it's still not the best idea."

"I don't want the chance of winning her back to cease even more...y know? We didn't even make out a plan on how to apologize rightfully yet...shouldn't we do that first?" Enzo muttered.

"Yeah, you're probably right. Ok then let's forget about that stupid plan and try to find a way to apologize to her. We won't get her back due to apologizing but it's the first step." I agreed, closing the laptop and putting it away.

"Any ideas?" Colton asked hopefully but was greeted with silence. Our faces all matched each other's. We were looking like we were trying to figure out an impossible question.

There was no right way to apologize to her cause no actions or words could replace the pain we've sent her trough.

"The ball!!" Colton suddenly jolted up from his seat, his eyes widened.

"What ball?" I asked irritated.

"The mafia ball, stupid!" he exclaimed.

All of a sudden the others also jumped up from their seats and had the same expression like Colton resting on their faces. Since I still didn't understand what the hell they were talking about I scrunched up my eyebrows in confusion which in return made them frown.

"The mafia ball that takes place every 2 years? Where all the gang leaders gather and where everyone has the chance to introduce new gang members? That one ball that will take place in our ball room this year? In three weeks to be exact??"

Slowly my mind processed what they were talking about, but I still didn't know what it had to do with apologizing to Alaska.

"He still doesn't get it." Leonardo groaned frustratedly, rolling his eyes.

"We will invite Alaska and introduce her, since that's a rule, unfortunately. And then-" Colton started but was cut off by Enzo.

"Then each of us will get to dance with her and say something that they wanted to say, in a manner of apologizing of course."

"Remeber how she always dreamed of going to a ball one day?" Phoenix smiled at whatever memory was going trough his head whereas the others looked like they were deep in thoughts.

"Ok. Well then, let's do that. It sounds beautiful. Maybe it's not the best way to apologize but I think it's the most sincere one." I admitted truthfully.

I was already looking forward to it. To dance with my lil sister at that ball had always been my dream, but since I was stupid I never got to do that.

It won't be beautiful.

It will be the opposite.

I hope she will at least listen to my or rather our words. Even if she doesn't believe them.

Oh, she won't get to listen to them.

I know that it will take a long time until she forgives us or even thinks about forgiving us...maybe that will never happen at all. But trying to apologize is better than doing nothing, right?

Wrong.

So wrong.

If only they had never invited her.

Hey there,
a new chap is out. Today I've got some topics to talk about, so yeah let's start.

Second, I wanted to talk about the relationship between Al and Xav. I know that it's going very fast and stuff. But their relationship is just an extra, y know? The main topic of the book is the thing about the brothers and the bestfriends. I just added a love story because I found it neccessary, lol.
So yeah, I'm sorry if it's too fast for your liking 😅 In upcoming books it will mainly be about the love story so then it will all be a little bit slower.

And lastly, I wanted to talk about a new caption for my story. I read a comment recently and it inspired me so much that I wanted to use it as my caption.
