Three Weeks Ago

It was that kind of afternoon where grey clouds acculumated the sky and little of what's left of the sun could be seen. The roads were flooded by water and everyone stayed in doors. Once in a while, you'd hear a car honk from a distance, and then it's followed by a rumbling thunder from the sky.

Rain conjures a sweet pattern upon the ground the thousands of liquid globes reflecting the greenery of nature. It cooled what was supposed to be a warm day.

All in all, it was a beautiful day.

At least that's what you think.

A rainy day is your favorite day after all.

"Y/n, take a look at this." The door swings open abruptly.

Lisa scares the crap out of you the second she decides to smack a piece of paper above the surface of your desk.

"Why on earth would you do that?" You shriek in pure horror, fumbling to rearrange your fallen pens and pencils along with your rapidly beating heart.

Your blond friend doesn't even give in to your yell of justice, lazily planting her butt at the very edge of your table with this serious demeanor stuck to her face. You gasp when she takes your textbook and tosses it on your bed. It lands with a bounce and falls to the floor.

You give her a dirty glare. "You better have a good reason for this."

Rolling her eyes, she plants her finger on the paper and slides it to your front. "Just tell me what you think. Here."

Having no choice but to comply to her since you know she won't leave you alone until you here what she has to say.

You blankly stare at the paper. "What's this?"

"Just read it."

"Okay Okay." You hiss through gritted teeth, plopping the last stick of pencil to its holder. You slide your glasses up the bridge of your nose before reluctantly taking the single ink printed sheet.

Your plan from here on is simple.

Lazily scheme through the paper, hand it back with your forced found input and go back to your homework. After all. It could just be something about a new kpop group she's found while scrolling through the internet.

Typical Lisa.

However, your original assumtion goes flushing down the drain once you've scan through the first few letters of the page.

A familiar name that's scribbled on the white is what fuels your sudden interest. And Lisa, with hawk-like gaze, observes you intently.

The anticipation of your reaction leaves the room in complete silence. But the impatient heat radiating from the human beside you brushes your skin like a very slow snail. It leaves a scraping trail of lightning slime that tells you to be quick or she's tempted to just snatch and read it out loud herself.

She wants to know your say in this, wants you to announce the final confirmation with her piece of evidence.

She's worked her but off with searching high and low, scavenged deep and wide for this.

So, now with enough proof stringed at the very pinky of her finger, she believes this can verify that her assumptions about the suspicious new kid, is real.

Along with her silent rush, is the ear-piercing tension ringing your ear.

Name: Kim Seok Jin

And the rest of the information written along the flat surface, you leave it all to sink in.

"This..."There's no way on earth could she have gone this far in the name of curiosity. Or could she?

At this point you're left in a state between amusement and surprise, releasing a sigh that sounds rather exasperated. You then stare at her as if though she's found something that's not suppose to be found. Which in a way, Isn't far from the truth. "Where'd you get this?"

She snatches her piece of proof and flicks it two times with a serious expression on. "I've got my ways."

"You should hide that." You voice out your thoughts with a troubled gaze, flickering your eyes from the paper in her hand and then back at her. "You're really something aren't you?"

"What are we gonna do now?"She asks.

This leaves you to stare at her blankly for a few second.

She's asking you what to do next?

"Why are you asking me that? You're the one who's been nosing around to the point you even broke inside our school's data base." You retort with a scoff.

If this were to get leaked out in the public, you bet your favorite socks that Seoul would fall into a mass of media chaos.

Imagine hearing this words coming out from your Tv screen or phone.

Deagu's Prince Kim Seok Jin found walking in the streets of Seoul.

"Where on earth did you even get those pictures?" You mumble.

"That one with the Queen and Jin?" She clears her throat, awkwardly rubbing the back of her neck with her hand. "So umm... Remember that time when I told you about my uncle working in an environment that's big and important?"

You nod, hesitantly.

"So yeah. He works there. "She flicks the paper again. "In the palace."

Present

"A really close friend."

Taehyung scoffs in disbelief and tosses the plushie on the ground. He even has the audicty to throw it where you can see it. Beside your desk.

"Did your mother teach you to carelessy throw things that don't belong to you?" Clenching your jaw, you hunch forward to pick up the poor assaulted plushy.

Taehyung wants to get beaten today doesn't he?

"Did you just friend-zone me?" He says as if though he didn't hear you.

The atmosphere drastically falls after that and you quickly turn to him, dumbounded.  "You know it's not like that"

"Oh." You're abruptly cut off when he lift his chin up, flicking his tongue across the bottom of his lip. " Well, in that case. Good."

"Excuse me?"

Something in the way he's staring at you brings a shiver down your spine and you notice that he uses a deeper octave in his next words.

"Cause I wouldn't want you to think of me that way when I haven't even started yet."
