Lilac wasn't really lilac at all.

She wasn't purple, she wasn't any shade of it.

She was the colour of lightning, so bright that it blinds you. She was the colour of the blush that tinged her cheek whenever I touched her. She was the gold the sun makes when it shines through the air. She was the white sparkle of diamonds, or the water's waves when it's bright out. She was the orange of the sunset, she was the green of the leaves on the tallest trees. She was the red of her lips, the yellow of a shimmering rainbow.

Lilac was the colours that aren't yet named, the ones that are too complex for our naked eye to see.

Lilac was the colour of everything, all mixed into one shade of beautiful.
